LGF Preferences Making a Comeback
When I rebuilt the LGF Blog Engine to use MySQL, and revamped our login and authentication code to be more secure and more Web 2.0-ish, one of the features that didn’t survive the change was our old preferences page that let you choose which fonts were displayed for the main elements of our pages; the headings, body text, blockquotes, and smaller text.
Those preferences are making a reappearance now, relocated to your account management page. You can choose fonts for the above page elements, and choose a size (in percentages) for the headings and body font. If you like your body text in a serif font like Times or Georgia, now you can set it that way. I’m using Palatino as I write this.
The fonts available are a selection of the most common web fonts, plus a few that are usually installed on both Macs and PCs. And a couple that are Mac-only, because I like Macs.
This is a first release of the new preferences feature; more to come.
