Mullah Dadullah Was Training Brits and Americans

At ABC’s The Blotter, here’s a report that recently deceased Taliban leader Mullah Dadullah was training British and American citizens to attack their home countries.

Thirty-six hours before he was killed by U.S. forces, Taliban Commander Mullah Dadullah said he was training American and British citizens to carry out suicide missions in their home countries, according to a videotape interview to be broadcast on ABC News’ “World News” Monday.

“We will be executing attacks in Britain and the U.S. to demonstrate our sincerity,” he told an Afghan interviewer, “to destroy their cities as they have destroyed our cities.”

A senior U.S. official told the Blotter on ABCNews.com that recent intelligence reports confirmed Dadullah’s claim that U.S. citizens were being trained in Taliban and al Qaeda camps.

“The number is small, not large, but even once is dangerous,” the official said.

An aside: ABC News and several other news sites have recently begun using Javascript code that’s apparently intended to prevent copying and pasting text. If you select some text on their page and hit the key command for copy, the text is deselected and nothing is copied.

Unless there’s some other purpose for this code, this has to be the most annoyingly stupid idea I’ve seen on the web in a long time—and it’s ridiculously easy to circumvent.

Many of these same sites also now have popup advertising code that launches a popup whenever you click anywhere on the page, and the popup is not stopped by most of the current blockers.

Way to go, MSM. Make your web sites even more unpleasant than they already are.

 Frank says:

There were 45 men in the jail cell, the toilet and shower had never been cleaned, the temperature was 110 degrees so you couldn't sleep night or day, there were roaches in the oatmeal, sadistic guards, and everything that was nice. -- Zappa 1969 interview. This had happened during the days of Studio Z in Cucamonga (1963). Frank was released on bail (his father took out a bank loan to pay for it). Frank had been busted for "conspiracy to commit pornography," after making a silly recording of suggestive sexual sounds (giggling edited out) for someone who had asked him to provide a "special" tape recording for a stag night. That someone turned out to be Detective Willis of the San Bernadino Vice Squad. Their conversation was recorded by a hidden microphone and this was used as evidence at Zappa's trial.
