Scooter Libby Sentenced

By now everyone knows “Scooter” Libby has been sentenced to two and a half years in prison, for his role in the decade’s most ridiculous trumped-up political scandal; the National Review calls on President Bush to pardon him.

He is a dedicated public servant caught in a crazy political fight that should have never happened, convicted of lying about a crime that the prosecutor can’t even prove was committed. President Bush has the power to end this ridiculous saga right now. He should do so.

At the lefty blogs, naturally, they’re smirking and gloating like evil children, led by Markos Moulitsas—who’s finally found someone he’s willing to call a “traitor:” Daily Kos: Libby’s character witnesses: TNR.

Here’s a poll to see how LGF readers feel about a pardon for Libby:

LGF Poll

Should President Bush pardon I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby?

Votes allowed: 1
Expires: never

(If I don’t include Ron Paul in our polls, his supporters send me lots and lots of hate mail…)
