The PLO terrorist gang is lashing out at Al Jazeera for backing Hamas in their coverage of the slaughter in the Palestinian territories.

What the media won’t tell you about this story: it isn’t surprising that Al Jazeera supports Hamas. They’re both arms of the Muslim Brotherhood—Hamas is in the military wing, Al Jazeera’s in the media wing—and they have the same goals: the destruction of Israel and the Islamization of the region.

RAMALLAH, West Bank (AFP) - A senior Palestinian official on Sunday accused pan-Arab Al-Jazeera television of favouring Hamas in its coverage of the battles between the Islamists and rival Fatah.

“Al-Jazeera is an accomplice in the crimes committed by the (Hamas) militias… against our people,” Yasser Abed Rabbo, secretary general of the executive committee of the Palestine Liberation Organisation, told Palestinian radio. “It has become a mouthpiece for these militias and has remained silent about their crimes,” said the close ally of Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas, the leader of Fatah.

Abed Rabbo accused the Qatar-based satellite channel of “encouraging the putschists’ crimes by covering these extreme terrorists and not covering their crimes.” He said the popular international broadcaster has given wide coverage to “isolated acts” committed by Fatah loyalists against Hamas in the West Bank and “marginal” coverage “to the atrocious crimes committed in the Gaza Strip.”

Mr Zappa, I am astounded at the courtesy and soft voiced nature of the comments of my friend, the Senator from Tennessee. I can only say that I find your statement to be boorish, incredibly and insensitively insulting to the people who were here previously, that you could manage to give the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States a bad name, if I felt you had the slightest understanding of it, which I do not. -- - Senator Slade Gorton
