Five non-Buddhists have now been arrested in the UK in connection with the terror attacks of the past few days: British police arrest five after car bomb attacks.

GLASGOW (Reuters) - British police arrested a fifth person on Sunday after a fuel-filled jeep was rammed into Scotland’s busiest airport in what police said was a terrorist attack linked to failed car bombings in London.

The arrests included a 26-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman seized on a major highway in northern England on Saturday night and another man, 26, who was detained in Liverpool, in the northwest of England, on Sunday.

Those arrests were in addition to two men, who witnesses described as Asians, who were taken into custody on Saturday immediately after they slammed a Jeep Cherokee into Glasgow airport and set the vehicle ablaze.

Allahpundit points out this image from the Daily Mail, showing the terrorist with most of his clothes burned off, trying to open the Jeep’s rear door:

Here are the gas canisters with which they tried to create a sort of homemade fuel-air explosion:

UPDATE at 7/1/07 10:47:47 am:

The attacker was apparently wearing a kaffiyeh terror badge.

Our exclusive picture shows the attacker in a boiler suit and plastic bags over his feet instead of shoes - the typical uniform of a suicide bomber. His face was covered by a red and white scarf - similar to those worn in other terror attacks.

UPDATE at 7/1/07 11:05:03 am:

When Egyptian terrorist Hesham Mohamed Hadayet attacked the El Al terminal at Los Angeles Airport in July 2002, he was shot dead by an armed security guard.

But at the Glasgow Airport, all they had to stop this attack was CS gas; they eventually had to wrestle this human torch terrorist to the pavement.

I’m just sayin’.
