Here’s an open thread, and a technical update: the animated sliding effect on our comment preview function is back. It turns out the jQuery developers were aware of the bug with older versions of Safari and had already found the fix. Downloading the nightly build fixed the problem.
So to make sure you’re using the latest code, once again I urge you to use your browser’s ‘reload’ button…
And a note: I’m actually interested in using jQuery for much more than eye candy effects. It’s a very powerful yet lightweight development library that makes it much easier to quickly build Javascript applications.
