Religion of Peace Strikes Again in Thailand
Five more slaughtered in the south Thailand jihad, now routinely being labeled a “separatist insurgency” by the morally bankrupt media: Five people killed in Thai south.
NARATHIWAT, Thailand (AFP) - Five people have been killed by suspected separatists in the insurgency-hit Thai south, police said Friday.
A 47-year-old Muslim man, a deputy village chief, was killed in a drive-by shooting early Friday in Narathiwat province, police said, while a 28-year-old Buddhist was shot dead as he drove his motorcycle in Songkhla province.
Three villagers were also injured Friday when a bomb exploded in front of a house in Pattani province, local police told AFP.
The previous day, a 37-year-old Muslim villager was shot dead in an ambush in Narathiwat. Two middle-aged Muslim men were killed in similar attacks in Pattani.
Police in Pattani said the deaths were likely related to an ongoing separatist insurgency in the Muslim-majority region, which has claimed about 2,400 lives since it erupted in January 2004.
