Fact or Fiction at The New Republic?

Recently, The New Republic published an extremely far-fetched article titled “Shock Troops,” with disgusting tales of brutality and heartless behavior by US troops, purported to be written by a soldier serving in Iraq. Michael Goldfarb at the Weekly Standard is skeptical (to say the least), and asked for feedback from milbloggers: New Republic: Fact or Fiction?

The New Republic has some explaining to do.
