Washington Post Continues the Parade of Whitewash

Sun, Jul 29, 2007 at 3:26:15 pm PDT

In their outrageous quest to legitimize radical Muslims as “moderates,” the Washington Post and Newsweek are publishing one deceptive piece after another, some of them by really bad people like the spiritual leader of Hizballah Muhammad Hussein Fadlallah, and Muslim Brotherhood stalking horse Tariq Ramadan.

Today the soothing words come from Muzzamil Siddiqi, chairman of the Fiqh Council of North America, and former president of the ISNA (one of the organizations named as unindicted co-conspirators in the Hamas funding trial in Dallas). Yes, it’s another attempt to make Americans believe that jihad is a peaceful inner struggle: On Faith: Muslims Speak Out Blog.

There’s no point in quoting it; if you’ve seen one of these pieces, you’ve seen them all.

But here’s some information about Siddiqi that the Washington Post and Newsweek didn’t bother to tell you. First, when Siddiqi was the imam of the Islamic Society of Orange County, one of the celebrity worshippers at his mosque was none other than American Al Qaeda traitor Adam Gadahn. Coincidence? Maybe.

An article by Kenneth Timmerman recounts what Siddiqi has said previously, when he wasn’t trying to fool the readers of the Washington Post:

Among the guests in this afternoon’s panel discussion is Muzammil Siddiqi, who until November 2001 was president of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), a leading Wahhabi front organization in the United States. Wahhabism is a radical form of Islam practiced in Saudi Arabia and advocated by al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden and his terrorist leaders.

Siddiqi has accompanied visiting Saudi officials from the Muslim World League on fund-raising tours across America, and is listed on its Website as the organization’s official representative in the United States. Offices of the Muslim World League in Herndon, Va., were raided by a federal antiterrorism task force in March 2002 because of suspected ties to al-Qaeda.

During an anti-Israel rally outside the White House on Oct. 28, 2000, Siddiqi openly threatened the United States with violence if it continued its support of Israel. “America has to learn ... if you remain on the side of injustice, the wrath of God will come. Please, all Americans. Do you remember that? ... If you continue doing injustice, and tolerate injustice, the wrath of God will come.” By “injustice,” he meant U.S. support for Israel.

Siddiqi also has called for a wider application of sharia law in the United States, and in a 1995 speech praised suicide bombers. “Those who die on the part of justice are alive, and their place is with the Lord, and they receive the highest position, because this is the highest honor,” he was quoted as saying by the Kansas City Star on Jan. 28, 1995.

More statements from Dr. Siddiqi, from Steven Emerson’s American Jihad; in a tract titled The Establishment of the Islamic Government in Afghanistan (date unknown) Siddiqi wrote:

I can see there is already some impact of jihad in Afghanistan, in the intifadah movement in Palestine ... insha’allah, you will see, in a few years, we will be celebrating, insha’allah, the coming victory of Islam in Palestine ... We will be celebrating, insha’allah, the coming of Jerusalem and the whole land of Palestine, insha’allah, and the establishment of the Islamic state throughout that area.

And by “jihad in Afghanistan,” I’m pretty sure Siddiqi wasn’t referring to a peaceful inner struggle. He’s talking about the Taliban.

In an article published by The Message International in February 1991 titled Basic Principles of Involvement in War in Islam, Siddiqi stated that Islam does not allow a Muslim to fight for non-Muslim causes—such as fighting in the US military:

Islam will not allow a Muslim to be drafted by non-Muslims to defend concepts, ideologies and values other than those of Islam...

Emerson also has a more complete account of the Siddiqi statements reported by Timmerman, at the Jerusalem Day Rally in Washington DC, October 28, 2000:

The USA is directly and indirectly responsible for the plight of the Palestinian people. Our government is responsible for plenty of the injustice that is going on there. The US is the greatest supporter of Israel—economically, militarily, and politically ... We want to awaken the conscience of America. America has to learn that. Because if you remain on the side of injustice, the wrath of God will come. Please! Please all Americans, do you remember that, that Allah is watching everyone. If you continue doing injustice, and tolerating injustice, the wrath of God will come.

Good work, Washington Post and Newsweek. That’s one heck of a moderate you’ve found to tell us about the Religion of Peace™.

The WaPo is steadily declining like the New York Times. They make no secret of their hatred of the President, their worship of AlGore From The Planet Eco, their desire to be the lapdog of the Hildebeast, and even their adoration of D.C.'s notably clueless Marxist excuse for a mayor, Adrian Fenty, whom they swoon over like bobby-soxers at an Elvis performance.

And now they are calling Muzzamil Siddiqi a "moderate".

This brings "defining deviancy down" to a whole new level.

I suppose they'll support him to run for Congress next.

Thousands of Brazilians blame government for nation’s worst plane crash

Published: 07.30.07, 00:59 / Israel News

More than 5,000 teary-eyed Brazilians marched Sunday to the site of a plane crash that killed 199 people, blaming the government for the nation’s deadliest aviation disaster.

At the front of the group was Dr. Mauricio Pereira, who wore a T-shirt with a picture of his 22-year-old daughter, Mariana, a first-year medical student who was aboard TAM airlines Flight 3054 when it sped off a runway and slammed into an air cargo building.

In 1999, I went to the United Kingdom for the Holidays. I departed from the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport. I spent three and a half hours at MSP before my flight. MSP requires smokers to stand outside and smoke, in three and a half hours I went outside about four times for a smoke, and left the secure area a total of six times, so I used all of the check points to reenter the secure area. One thing I noticed, is that all the security screeners where from the mideast. I still ask the question till this day, how many major airports in the United States had Mideastern Security screeners, and how many where gathering intel of airport security for the 911 attack?

For what it's worth, the accompanying newsweek comments has someone questioning Siddiqi on those statements of Oct. 28, 2000.

Mr. Siddiqi. Are these statement below, attributed to you, correct? If yes, then your words above are a lie. If not, please explain.

During an anti-Israel rally outside the White House on Oct. 28, 2000, Siddiqi openly threatened the United States with violence if it continued its support of Israel. "America has to learn ... if you remain on the side of injustice, the wrath of God will come. Please, all Americans. Do you remember that? ... If you continue doing injustice, and tolerate injustice, the wrath of God will come." By "injustice," he meant U.S. support for Israel.

Siddiqi also has called for a wider application of sharia law in the United States, and in a 1995 speech praised suicide bombers. "Those who die on the part of justice are alive, and their place is with the Lord, and they receive the highest position, because this is the highest honor," he was quoted as saying by the Kansas City Star on Jan. 28, 1995

His quick reply:

Siddiqi:

No, these statements are not correctly quoted. First statement is mutilated and distorted. The second statement is not mine. It does not represent my views.

From what I saw, that was his only time commenting. He's at least quick to try to cover his tail (assuming that's really him.)

“America has to learn ... if you remain on the side of injustice, the wrath of God will come. Please, all Americans. Do you remember that? ... If you continue doing injustice, and tolerate injustice, the wrath of God will come.”

These people are flat out crazy, and any American who doesn't realize that is either dreadfully uninformed or stubbornly closing his or her eyes to an obvious danger.

Shame on The Washington Post and Newsweek for repeatedly publishing misinformation and sympathizing with America's enemies.

I read the piece and found this old chestnut:

2. Warfare is a limited enterprise. Its purpose is only defensive and it should only be used to stop aggression and oppression.

This does not carry the reassurance it is supposed to, for what constitutes oppression is extremely subjective, and we all know by now how easily 'oppressed' muslims tend to be. I'm sure CAIR would support the idea that the Koran flushing incident constituted a form of 'oppression'.

This 'qualification' does not limit violent jihad so much as open up countless opportunities for it. The result is just what we see - all around the world people find themselves living in fear of muslims 'defending themselves' against 'oppression'.

Shame on The Washington Post and Newsweek for repeatedly publishing misinformation and sympathizing with America's enemies.

Well, some choose to root for and give moral support to those that defend America, while others choose to root for and give moral support to America's enemies. Most of those in the latter group know that openly stating whose side it is they're on would expose them. Hence, we hear the pro-terrorist term of "chickenhawk" used to put those of us that support our military on the defense when it is they that should be made to defend their pro-terrorists positions and actions. The attempt to demoralize, berate, and guilt those that support our military is just one of the underhanded ways in which the left encourages those that wish to cause harm to our country.

Saudi turns his back on jihad

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia - The last time Ahmed al-Shayea was in the news, he was in the hospital at the Abu Ghraib prison in Baghdad, being treated for severe burns from the truck bomb he had driven into the Iraqi capital on Christmas Day, 2004.

Today, he says, he has changed his mind about waging jihad, or holy war, and wants other young Muslims to know it. He wants them to see his disfigured face and fingerless hands, to hear how he was tricked into driving the truck on a fatal mission, to believe his contrition over having put his family through the agony of believing he was dead.

At 22, the new Ahmed Al-Shayea is the product of a concerted Saudi government effort to counter the ideology that nurtured the 9/11 hijackers and that has lured Saudis in droves to the Iraq insurgency. The deprogramming, similar to efforts carried out in Egypt and Yemen, is built on reason, enticements and lengthy talks with psychiatrists, Muslim clerics and sociologists.

/well, isn't that special

The last time Ahmed al-Shayea was in the news, he had renounced his Jihadist ways. Today, he lays in a morgue, after being kidnapped, tortured
and beheaded by his former 'friends" for the sin of turning his back on them.

Man Crazed Media Dupe Sentenced for Bashing Voting Machine

Young, 43, of 375 Auburn St., admitted that he went to a polling place at the Good Shepherd Home at Sixth and St. John streets, Allentown, on Nov. 7. He testified that he struck the screen of a Diebold-manufactured machine four times with a small figurine.
''I was obligated to destroy it to the best of my ability,'' Young told Judge William E. Ford..........
Young said his actions were prompted by an Oct. 6, 2006, article in Rolling Stone magazine that addressed problems with electronic voting machines and gave examples of inaccuracies in results.

That would require logic, and a love of freedom. In this current paradigm, the left is lacking both.

I have a feeling that even if a CNN anchor got his/her head hacked off on air, the cohost would be justifying it as it is happening because of "Bush's foreign policies/global warming/Israeli support/Give em a state...blah blah blah"...

Some of those that are mentally ill know that they are. Others have no idea. Our culture has been so instilled with liberal values that many of us don't even question many of those values at this point. As a consequence, we now have a Republican president, state dept, and dept of defense having our military fight a kinder, gentler type of war and most of us don't think twice about whether or not that is the way we should be doing things. Even worse, those to the left of President Bush consider him brutal. If and when we ever get a real wake up call, there is going to be a lot of confused looks on peoples' face.

For wino, from the FAQ's:

Q. Why is Charles ignoring my email?
A. He gets about fifty-gazillion emails a day, so he can’t reply to every one. Please don't feel slighted or offended.

Q. What's a hat tip?
A. A hat tip is Charles's way of thanking you on the front page for bringing an interesting item to his attention. (If you’re interested you can read the history of doffing (or “tipping”) hats.)

Q. I sent Charles an email about the story he posted but he didn’t give me the hat tip. Why not, and how can I get him to give it to me?
A. Just because you emailed a story to Charles or were the first person to link to it, it doesn't mean that's the first place he saw it. He does his own research, he gets dozens of emails when major news breaks, and lots of people will post links to an important story. So the hat tip (if any) goes to wherever Charles remembers seeing it first, and that's final. :-) It’s considered poor form to ask for a hat tip.

This stinks.

The WoPo’s pumping of Siddiqi reeks of Saudi influence. This is another reason not to read the WoPo or its parent the NYT.

Siddiqi is certainly not friendly to the US. He preaches jihad then tries to cover his tracks with taqiyya.

I do a lot of work in Garden Grove Ca. I know where that mosque is (it’s below the 22 freeway on Brookhurst around 11th street). I remember it because it produced Adam Gadahn – who I believe is on the run and probably being sheltered in Pakistan.

As for Siddiqi living in neighboring Fountain Valley (see #20) and having bunch of suspicious characters around his house around 9/11 makes sense.

Certainly, the authorities should keep guys like Siddiqi and is flock under surveillance. Their connection to jihad is too close.

There is another huge mosque in SoCal that gives me the creeps because of it likeness to a military fort. It is east of 57 freeway on State College Blvd. and south of the 91 freeway (right next to Mobil gas station). If one wanted to hide out that place would do nicely. It is a thick cement building with a copper dome. I believe the police would have a hard time breaching its walls.

On a finale note, After the UC Irvine incident where an undercover agent's car was threaten with a cinder block, I believe CAIR’s influence in SoCal is neutering the FBI. It seem as every incident leads to more “sensitivity training” for the agency.

It's true that the $50K hat-tip honorarium is not a lot by Zionist Conspiracy standards, but the budget has been very tight in recent weeks and we have had to make cuts wherever possible.

For one thing, server upgrades are expensive, especially after the recent influx of Democrat congress-critters had put so much stress stress on our Double-Secret Bribes and Blackmail slush fund. As recent legislation shows, we have not in fact managed to keep pace with demand.

It is regretable that our friends are not being properly rewarded just yet but just be patient. If the new inland tsunami generators work as well as anticipated, our investment group will take full advantage and the dividends will be enormous.
