RetweetDaily Kos Kids Swoon Over Terrorist Poetry

Sun, Aug 5, 2007 at 11:16:21 am PDT

Poetry by terrorists—a big hit with the Nutroots: Daily Kos: Poem from Guantanamo.

A sample comment:

It’s heart-breaking...

...to think we’ve turned into the inspiration for the Anne Franks of the 21st century.

How dare they use Anne Frank as a reference..is there no low they will not reach? I wonder if they even know who she was, and how she died?

I think that I actually answered my own question.

Jumah al Dossari

An article published on November 7, 2005, quotes Peter J. Ahearn, the special agent in charge of the FBI's Buffalo office concerning interest the FBI had in ties between Al Dossary, and the Lackawanna Six.[7][8] Six Yemeni-Americans from Lackawanna, near Buffalo, secretly traveled to Pakistan and Afghanistan, for jihad training, in early 2001. Ahearn told the Buffalo News that two of the Lackawanna Six said that Al Dossary had delivered a "fiery speech" at the Guidance Mosque in Lackawanna. According to Ahearn the FBI is interested in learning whether Al Dossary may have helped fund the Lackawanna men's travel expenses.

Sure he's an Al Qaeda recruiter who operated in America but he sure can bust a wicked rhyme.

*ack* *ack*
A bunch of overweight , socially mal-adjusted men sitting around thinking up ways to harass their long-suffering guards, in plentiful fresh air, safe and sound, and sunshine, after being caught as enemy combatants are "Anne Franks?"
Every time you think they can't possibly top yesterday's insanity, a new Hard Left day dawns.

8 wvobiwan  Sun, Aug 5, 2007 11:23:10am

"...to think we’ve turned into the inspiration for the Anne Franks of the 21st century."

Wow. The ignorance of that statement is just stunning.

Terrorist murderers, caught on the battlefield killing Americans, and innocent Afghans/Iraqis, proponents of genocide (which would include by the way, Anne Frank herself if Islamist forbears, the Nazis, hadn't beat them to it), fans of rape (children too), murder (children too), and theft.

In "inspiration" to the left. My God, they're nuts, grab them

9 salt1907  Sun, Aug 5, 2007 11:23:47am

Mark Steyn wrote about an overlapping topic this morning when he commented that if we lose the war on terror, "it won't be in a tank battle. Or in the Sunni Triangle or the caves of Bora Bora. It won't be because terrorists fly three jets into the Oval Office, Buckingham Palace and the Basilica of St Peter's on the same Tuesday morning." Our loss will result from Dhimmitude, one aspect of which Steyn comments on today - the Saudi reversal of our first amendment by means of lawsuits in foreign countries. The Dhimmitude of the Kos Kids may seem silly, but it can be just as deadly.

25 Guy_Montag  Sun, Aug 5, 2007 11:30:25am

What an extremely lousy poem, and I'm not just saying that because the poem's author wants to build a World Theocracy on the bones of the kuffar. That has absolutely nothing to do with it.

26 zombie  Sun, Aug 5, 2007 11:30:53am

Here's the poem:

DEATH POEM

Take my blood.
Take my death shroud and
The remnants of my body.
Take photographs of my corpse at the grave, lonely.
Send them to the world,
To the judges and
To the people of conscience,
Send them to the principled men and the fair-minded.
And let them bear the guilty burden, before the world,
Of this innocent soul.
Let them bear the burden, before their children and before history,
Of this wasted, sinless soul,
Of this soul which has suffered at the hands of the "protectors of peace."

Is it just me, or does this not sound like it was written by someone who learned English as a second language as an adult (in prison)? I propose that it was either written by his lawyer or someone helping him, or it was translated from Arabic with great license and elan by someone trying to glamorize him.

Before I leave, a life-affirming story from Israel.

JERUSALEM - An 8-year-old Israeli boy was found alive after spending six hours floating at night in the Dead Sea, rescue workers said Sunday.

The boy went missing on a family trip to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth and one of Israel's most popular tourist attractions, where an abnormally high salt concentration allows swimmers to float on the water's surface.

Shneur Zalman Friedman, from an ultra-Orthodox neighborhood of Jerusalem, was with his father and two brothers Thursday evening when strong currents swept him far from shore. His father noticed he was missing at around 7:00 p.m., sparking a frantic search. A police helicopter and dozens of workers combed the shoreline and crisscrossed the sea in motorboats looking for him, said Yehuda Meshi-Zahav of the Zaka rescue organization.

Take *that*, you death-worshipping bastards!

You have to consider these were the same folks that were whining and crying about poor "Tookie" being executed last year out in California. They ignore the most heinous and vile slaughter of fellow human beings and point out that "Tookie" had reformed himself by writing a children's book that was read by no one. Liberals are amazing, they hate the military because the warriors believe in duty, honor and integrity whilst the liberals embrace terrorists that would kill all the gays and Jews, and destroy democracy with a global caliphate that would spell the doom of western civilization and life as a liberal. Embracing suicide does not indicate sanity or reason.

It hurts so much, and IIRC, we approach the anniversary of the publication of her diary...I have a first edition, dog-eared, that I was given at age 9. All I can do is bless the memory of my 3 grandparents, who left Lithuania, and came here in the late 1890's to escape Jew hate...and bless this wonderful country that took them in. My maternal grandfather was an Anglo-Jew, who served in the Spanish-American war.

I was born in 1938...and I cannot ever forget that my parents OBM and all my family might have met the same fate as Anne Frank if we were in Europe instead of the USA. I have a feeling that a large number of us who post here are in the same position..and have lost many relatives to the ovens. My Grandparents did.

It really is to bad that the US Government did not arrange for the inmates a field trip so that they could attend the Kos convention. Imagine the fun that all could of had. Lefties showing their 'love' for them as they slit their throats. What good times would be had by all!

Then what was left of the Kos Kids could sit back and enjoy the many trials that would happen as a result of their comrades being murdered. I wonder if the ACLU would defend the murderers?

91 jamgarr  Sun, Aug 5, 2007 11:51:14am

Ironic that the first comment at Kos (of course, bashing America) has a signature line which includes the following quote from Albert Einstein:

"The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing." ~ Albert Einstein

In fact the ironometer is pegged. If you asked the Kosling to comment on his quote I'm sure he would tell you that he is doing his part to stop the evil of GWB/Amerika - he doesn't see that Gitmo is an evil-fighting tool making the world less dangerous.

Sorry, but I can't. There is humor, there is sardonic humor, but there was not even a hint of humor in that post. It hurts still.

Perhaps Anne Frank is a name to the poster, not a reality?

Oh, brother.

All these criminals have to do is write a little bit of poetry using the classic poets meme of melancholy/ pain and suffering/ victimization/a desire to be put out of ones' misery to show the world how "sensitive" they are, and the lefty lunatics swallow it whole, and declare the poets' victimhood without even bothering to check the background of the so-called "poet".

Sheesh. My teenagers write better poetic dirges than this.

Whats' next... a Gitmo coffee house where the terrorists can strum acoustic guitars and host poetry readings to show the world they're really just a bunch of innocent, misunderstood souls?

Oh crap, I just realized I didn't read the Anne Frank comment until after my last post. Okay, no more sarcastic parodies or snarky limericks. I'm f***ing pissed. Anne Frank is not on the same level as a terrorist. And this does a huge disservice to her legacy. What cynical bastards their lawyers are, trying to portray hardened terrorists as innocent as Anne Frank. And I bet some of the lawyers are Jewish.

The left continues to amaze me...it really does...to have the moral depravity and intellectual vacuousness to compare the prisoners at Guantanamo with Anne Frank and the millions who DIED in the Nazi death camps is truly beyond belief...

Yet the Democrat candidates run and pander to this crowd...I suspect that Bill Clinton's original "Sistah Souljah" moment (which IMHO, was feigned as well) was probably the last time we'll see a Democrat candidate attempt to evince moral courage against the hard left...

I am Muslim, hear me whine,
While on haute cuisine I dine;
Here in Gitmo I've got everything I need.
'Cause I've got my clean Koran,

And my prayer rug where I worship Satan's seed.

I am Muslim, hear me seethe,
It's the reason that I breathe;
Here in Gitmo with the lovely ocean view.
And as soon as I get out,
I will rage and kill and shout;
It's the only thing that I know how to do.

Miracle of miracles*!

Only a few years in the blessed expansionist custody of the regime of the United States and the prisoners at Guantanimo have grown fat with nourishment, had their teeth become white with fluoride, had their skin become softened with saltwater breeze, had their garments laundered with Tide, and learned the cultured art of writing poetry.
They've got a better life in Cuba than anything they could have imagined back in that h3ll-h0le called western Asia.

Allah has heard of their plight.

161 louis  Sun, Aug 5, 2007 7:07:02pm

I don't recall Anne Frank trying to kill anyone. How vile a comparison! Anne Frank was a young girl just trying to live her life was she was betrayed and transported to a concentration camp where she died from typhus. The Gitmo bunch are confirmed terrorists who would kill any non-Muslim, (moonbats included) at a moment's notice. Now, how are the Gitmo boys similar to Anne Frank?

162 siiras  Sun, Aug 5, 2007 10:05:36pm

On the planet Leftoid, where the history-illiterate dwell, there is a consistency to what passes for their thinking:

To the people for whom Bush is Hitler, the thugs in Guantanamo are Anne Frank.

However, on the planet Earth, for people who retain a modicum of common sense, there's the inconvenient truth that Bush has freed a people from a Hitler-like dictator, and the Guantanamo killers are in no danger at all of the unjust death that the innocent CHILD Anne Frank suffered merely for being Jewish.

Leftists are stupid, mentally ill, or calculate that they can shamelessly mega-lie their way to power, take your pick. There's not a mentally healthy, thinking person acquainted with logic among the stampeding herd of them.

Whenever it's America vs anyone, America is always the evil one. Their mental illness demands that reality be ignored. Google Evan Sayet for a look into their twisted minds.
