LGF Technical Update: Navigation by Days 2
This is a quick update on the changes in navigating LGF that I’ve made in the past few days. To keep everything as straightforward as possible, the front page now will show only the current day’s worth of posts. There’s a setting in the LGF Blog Engine for the number of days to show on the front page—this will now remain at one day. (This will also help a little with our bandwidth consumption.)
At the top and bottom of the front page there’s a light green navigation panel that lets you enter our ‘one day at a time’ mode, to read the previous day’s posts and navigate backward and forward by days.
Also, the “daily archives” button has been moved to a more prominent location in our left sidebar. Clicking it will pop up a calendar that lets you jump immediately to any day’s worth of posts. (Note: In the Safari browser, the calendar can be a little slow to appear. If this happens, quit Safari and restart, and it will pop up much faster.)
