If you’re logged in to your account, you will now be able to rate any comment with our jaunty new plus and minus buttons. The running total (positive, negative, or zero) is shown next to the buttons, and after you rate a comment, the total is automatically updated.
If you just want to see if there have been more ratings since the last time you loaded the page, click the number, and it will update the running total.
All this uses Ajax, of course, so there’s no page reloading involved.

Since some members of the lizard army aren’t too enthused about this feature, I’ve added an option for them to turn it off. Go to the Manage Your Account page to set it.
