Religion of Peace Strikes Again in Thailand
One more dead and five more wounded in the south Thailand jihad.
(BangkokPost.com) - One soldier was killed, five others wounded when insurgents detonated a bomb in Pattani province early Saturday.
A 47-year-old sergeant major died after the powerful blast overturned a military pick-up truck in Mayo district. Two other soldiers are in serious condition.
The attack was prior to Prime Minister Surayud Chulanont’s visit to the neighbouring Narathiwat province.
Meanwhile, about 50 security forces raided areas in Muang district of Yala province on Saturday, following the ambushes of a soldier and villagers on Friday.
