It’s no longer surprising, but there are actually left-wing bloggers who will defend letting Ahmadinejad visit Ground Zero.

And if you really want to get a headache, check out some of the comments at CNN: New York: Iran’s leader can’t visit ground zero.

This was a bad move on the part of those in power (NYPD, Port Authority and other city officials). The Iranian President desired to make a gesture of good-will towards the US and we won’t let him? That sounds like a great way to avoid future conflicts with a growing world power. Who are we to judge his sincerity?
