Q: If you’re a true believer in the left-wing lunacy groupthink, what’s the best way to defend another true believer against the evil right wing hate machine and their “quote your own words” smear tactics?

A: You lie, of course, and just leave out the worst part of Pete Stark’s ugly rant.

At the aptly named Crooks and Liars: Ring Wing goes bonkers over Rep. Pete Stark’s comments: Take the C&L Poll.

The poll, of course, shows that an overwhelming number of the Crooks and Liars droogies think Stark was a freakin’ genius.

(Hat tip: Gateway Pundit.)

UPDATE at 10/20/07 7:49:25 pm:

It’s all the fault of webmaster Jamie, apparently.

I was having problems with the coding from the new Poll software and C&L’s webmaster Jamie deleted this text because of the code problems. Here’s the full text.

Right.

 Frank says:

Throwing objects such as this are capable of damaging expensive musical equipment and musicians. Any more of this and there will be no more music. -- FZ, Autumn 1981 at Northrup auditorium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. After someone threw a plunger on stage about two-thirds of the way through the show, he stopped the band with a wave of his hand speaking in the general direction that the dangerous object was thrown, while holding it in his hand. This did not prove to be an amusing act and Franks mood hardened. - It was, however, an evening of excellent, serious musicianship around the release of 'Shut up and play your guitar'
