Not a Terrorist, Nuh-Uh, No Way

Wed, Oct 24, 2007 at 11:11:33 am PDT

Man. What does a self-respecting Islamist fanatic have to do to get the authorities to call him a “terrorist?” Jihad Watch: Miami Muslim chants ‘Death to America’ and attacks military policemen at Air Reserve Base; not terrorism, authorities say.

Wielding two butcher knives bought at Wal-Mart and vodka bottles to use as explosives, Tahmeed Ahmad chanted ”Death to America” and told Homestead Air Reserve Base guards he wanted to kill soldiers.

But Ahmad was no terrorist, authorities believe.

Rather, the Miami Central High School math teacher wanted to ”commit suicide by cop” when he attacked military policemen stationed at the west gate just before midnight Sunday, the FBI said.

Ahmad did not get his wish. One officer fired his handgun at Ahmad. He missed.

”We take security very seriously at the base, but this was quite an unusual event,” said Lt. Col. Tom Davis, a base spokesman. “Our security forces are well trained and responded appropriately.”

Police quickly arrested Ahmad, 22, whose mother says is mentally ill and had recently been in a mental institution. The FBI charged him Monday with assaulting a U.S. government employee.

Ahmad is in his first year teaching math at Miami Central High, 1781 NW 95th St. ...

Ahmad had been added to a federal terrorist watch list, but officials had long since concluded he was not a credible threat, Davis said.

How does one who has been in a mental institution pass a Corey check, might I ask? Usually one who has been institutionalized cannot teach. Or drive a school bus.

What does a guy have to do to get his terrorist chops around here? Everytime a lone gunman, or two in the case of the DC sniper, goes offr an kills maims or attempts to do so in the name of Allah, he gets written off as 'crazy' or 'disturbed'. Wouldn't that fit anyone or any group trying to inflict death and destruction on others? Why is it saner when there is a group of wackos coordinating attacks?

Yes, he is crazy. Yes, he is a terrorist. Now what could be the common thread behind so much crazy terrorism? It must be around here somewhere......

No, really.

Likewise, it is nearly impossible to give a failing grade to someone so long as they have a diagnosis. If they fail and appeal and you knew they had a "disability," regardless of whether it was relevant, you can be sued.

Although, the MSM definition of terrorism, that discounts mass killings by Muslims at shopping malls, Jewish community centers, El Al ticket counters, SUV attacks on college students, etc., as not being terrorist, nothing short of a letter of recommendation from Sheikh Osama bin Laden in the pocket of any Muslim committing acts of violence while shouting Allahu Ackbar, would be considered terrorism.

New Tape: Bin Laden Calls Insurgents ‘Pack of Sissies’

(2007-10-23) — In a newly-released audiotape, al Qaeda leader Usama bin Laden spoke directly to Muslim insurgents in Iraq, calling them “a pack of sniveling sissies for collapsing in the face of the recent U.S. military surge.”

“When I see how you cower,” Mr. Bin Laden said, “I’m ashamed to wear the flowing robe of Muslim boldness and the fierce, yet festive, headdress of a jihadi. I have wives who are braver than you...several of them.”

The al Qaeda mastermind noted that his own “courageous concealment” has stymied U.S. attempts to kill or capture him, while he ridiculed al Qaeda in Iraq fighters as “pathetic little pigs trembling at the voice of the big bad American wolf.”

“Why don’t you all shave off your beards,” he asked rhetorically, “and apply a nice cucumber-scented moisturizer to your smooth, hairless faces? You don’t deserve to enjoy the glory of the coming Muslim caliphate. You’re not worthy to lick the drippings from the wall of my cave.”

Homeland Security Algorithm:

1. Mentally unstable people are not terrorists.

2. Terrorists strap explosives to their chest and explode themselves adjacent to small children.

3. Conclusion: Mentally stable people commit suicide and mass murder in the hopes of shagging 72 virgins.

Man. What does a self-respecting Islamist fanatic have to do to get the authorities to call him a “terrorist?”

Attack an abortion clinic?

Excellent point.

Put an angy white male Christian in front of an abortion clinic with a sign screaming "Death to abortionists" and his life will be ruined. He would likely be prosecuted under Federal legislation which restricts protesters' speech and actions at clinics, classifies such violations as federal felonies, sujects them to prosecution under RICO statutes, would get them placed on a terrorist watch list upon their release from prison.

Do a similar thing as protest against Bush's foreign policy, and you get a speaking engagement at a local university.

IsraelNN.com) Chief Palestinian Authority (PA) negotiator Saeb Erekat threatened on Wednesday that the PA will not attend the planned Annapolis, Maryland conference if Israel doe not agree on key issues beforehand. His statement is the latest in a number of comments that represent an escalation in rhetoric that may scuttle the Bush administration plans to hold the conference in December.

"The Palestinian position is very clear," he said. "We won't go to the conference unless we reach an agreement with Israel on the final status issues and a clear timetable for the implementation of any agreement between the two parties." Israel has firmly rejected setting out a timetable, fearing it will be trapped into further concessions while support continues to weaken for the Olmert administration.

IsraelNN.com) Israeli prison guards' reactions to the riot by this week by 1,000 terrorists at a Negev jail prove that Israelis are not ready for peace, according to Sary Al Qawa, formerly detained in the Ketziot prison. He also is chief editor of a Gaza daily and was a first cousin of Yasser Arafat.

He criticized the guards for killing one terrorist and injuring 15 others in the riot, which also caused injuries to 15 prison guards after they tried to inspect terrorists' beds for weapons and plans for escape. "The world should have no illusions about the intentions of Israel regarding peace. Israel wants Palestinians to accept the occupation and denounce any form of resistance while it continues its expansionist plans," he said

There is some high proof vodka out there. I've never seen it in our free enterprise state government monopolized liquor stores in my state, but a Google search turned up some. Won't explode but would make a dandy Molotov cocktail. For the wealthier jihadist that doesn't like the lingering smell of gasoline on his clothing.

One officer fired his handgun at Ahmad. He missed.

I'll supplement Reaction No. 1 (already expressed in this thread)...

Back to the range for you
... with Reaction No. 2:

MPs guarding US military bases should have long arms, not just handguns.

For close range and unxpected threats, gate security should have a sidearm, quicker to extract, aim and fire.

A rifle should also be available, for attackers in vehicles, of course.

Actually, on his own he might be able to kill a dozen or so infidels, if he got lucky - so he is relatively harmless ( as long as you believe a dozen dead infidels is no big deal).

With the help of a Saudi-funded terrorist group he could be used to kill a lot more than that.
