HuffPo: Evil LGF Commenters Threatened to Kill Me

Tue, Oct 30, 2007 at 12:22:25 am PDT

Dennis Perrin resorts to a flat-out lie in this idiotic post for Huffington: Dennis Perrin: The Liberal Surrender.

At Little Green Footballs, several commenters bluntly advised me to leave the site, or they would track me down via my IP address and kill me. Probably hot air, but there are plenty of crazy people in the world, and arguing at an anti-Arab racist site wasn’t worth taking the risk, however slight.

That’s a lie, Dennis. It never happened. Man up. Prove it, or retract it.

Fact: no one at LGF knows poster’s IP addresses but me.

Fact: Dennis Perrin never reported any such thing, either to me, or to the police.

(Hat tip: Bill Amos.)

Except, ya know. Those are ideologies, much like Islam.
Silly Liberals.

I read his article twice--
Jerk.
Why does he matter? " Searching for blogs for inspiration to comment". Keywords. "Anti-Arab site".

Nothing himself to offer. He "presents" himself. Takes on a character to argue with people.

Tries to sell his book. Maybe that's the true purpose behind his article.

The comments are classic, even for Hufftards:

The real grassroots bloggers are not political professionals. These non-professionals are treated as the second-class "citizens" of DailyKos, Democratic Underground, and Moveon for that matter.

Actually, "citizens" is the wrong word, because the bloggers who are not paid political professionals are more like subjects of the royal administrator and the aristocracy of sycophantic, paid, political hacks which are loyalists to the administrator.

Unpaid bloggers are like subjects of the royal administrator?

Dem blogs are "cannibal serial killers wearing the skin of a murder victim"?

Tell me that the Columbia U Professor did not actually fabricate this incident.

That would be absolutely irresponsible to do something like this. Please provide evidence to back up your allegation.

Sorry, I thought my tone conveyed what I was trying to say, which was "That's because the videotape must show him hanging the noose on his own door." Obviously I don't have any proof of this -- which is the whole point. But it's what everybody suspects. Why else would they be suppressing the videotape evidence?

I didn't mean to imply that I had insider evidence that no one else has. There just have been so many similar faked hate crimes over the last few years, it's becoming a pattern.

What's the difference between a lawyer and a shark?

One is a blood-thirsty, cold-blooded, beady-eyed carnivore who will devour any helpless victim he can get his teeth into.
The other is a fish.

To further elaborate on my point...

Charles must prove that he's losing income, or traffic, or whatever, in such a way that it is monetized. His traffic will not suffer from this incident, his advertisers will not flee, his lizard army will remain faithful to him-- come hell or high water.

Charles has proven that he'll take the high road. Any litigious action will probably not result in any significant windfall, but it might deter those in the future from impugning LGF.

re: #99 FQ Kafir

When Charles speaks to his lawyer, his lawyer will want to know what damage has been done and how much it is worth. It's one thing to prove libel, yet quite another to prove significant damages.

Honest questions to lizards...

How much is this libelous inaccuracy worth?

Would Charles sue just for a retraction?

Charles,

He's right.

Only LGF individual who has access to IP addresses = Charles

Allegations of death threats and intimidation seem to directly target the host. Yep, I'd visit with my attorney too.

50 years ago, if you had called a Hollywood celebrity a drug fiend, a communist and a serial adulterer he would have sued for slander.
Today he would thank you for reading his autobiography.

Just as well. We've seen what the fans from peaceful Britain can do. Imagine what kind of soccer riot the Pals could stage.

Forget that. I think they play their home games in Beit Hanoun, right near the Kassam launching pads. Would you want to play them there?

I have lots of clients like that. Then they don't want to pay their bills either.

"You mean just because I decided to sell the business after you rewrote a 5-page letter to the government three times to explain why I don't need a license to run it, you expect me to pay you?"
