2007 LGF Awards Nominations Open
The nominations for the Idiotarian (Fiskie) and Anti-Idiotarian (Fallaci) Awards for 2007 are now open! Registered LGF lizards may use the form below to submit their nominations in the two categories.
Remember, the Fiskie Award is for the most moonbattish, obtuse, deranged, or duplicitous person or group of the year. Past “winners” of the Fiskie have included Jimmy Carter, Rachel Corrie, Cindy Sheehan, Michael Moore, and Kofi Annan.
The Fallaci, on the other hand, goes to the person or group who best exemplified the fight against the heartbreak of moonbattitude. The Fallaci was just introduced last year and our first winner was former UN ambassador John Bolton.
The awards can only be won once; in other words, previous winners may not be nominated again.
When entering your nominations, please double-check spelling and capitalization of proper names, so we don’t end up with a lot of duplicates. The system will try to prevent you from entering a duplicate, but different spellings will thwart it.
The form uses Ajax, of course, so you don’t have to reload anything. The current nominations are displayed beneath the submission form, and if you’re logged in you can refresh the list of nominations and see any new ones simply by clicking the “Show” button.
UPDATE at 12/26/07 4:17:38 pm:
I’ve now disabled the form, because we have more than enough submissions for two lists that are going to be narrowed down to 10 entries each. Total number of nominations in each category:
Fiskie: 351
Fallaci: 273
