Kos Goes After Ron Paul

Looks like Markos “Screw Them” Moulitsas has noticed that GOP candidate Ron Paul has some rather unsavory views: Daily Kos: The overt racist in the GOP field.
Kos is citing the Ron Paul Political Report, a newsletter that Ron Paul produced himself in the late 80s and early 90s, and there is plenty of stuff in there that makes Dr. Paul look bad, not just from the racist angle. We had a post on the newsletter at the beginning of November, when someone at Free Republic started putting up excerpts from it. This is one of those rare moments when I find myself in agreement with Markos; it’s disgraceful that this kook is allowed to run for president in the Republican Party. If the GOP doesn’t police its own ranks and expel paleocon crackpots like Ron Paul, the Democrats will use the issue as a potent political weapon.
