Technical Note: Debugging Delays

This morning I’m working on a problem some lizards have reported, in which there’s a long delay while typing into the comment posting form. I’m flying on instruments here, because I can’t duplicate the problem on any of my testing machines (I think I need a really under-powered PC for testing!), but I’ve made some changes that should help speed things up. If you’ve experienced this typing delay, chime in here and let me know some specifics: which browser and which computer you’re using, whether it’s worse in longer threads, any info that seems pertinent.
