Unindicted Hamas co-conspirators CAIR have put out a press release targeting LGF: Hate Site Comments Suggest Violence Against Missouri Mosque.

UPDATE at 2/19/08 4:09:21 pm:

At Pat Dollard’s place, the Bashman has a few words for CAIR: CAIR Now Targeting Right Wing Conservative Blog Sites … Bring It Bitches.

(Military-grade language warning…)

UPDATE at 2/19/08 5:13:08 pm:

Note that the comments quoted by CAIR in their press release were posted only this morning, and were deleted as soon as I received reports about them. They quoted four comments out of a total of more than 3,000. They’re watching LGF’s comments more closely than I am.

UPDATE at 2/19/08 5:24:42 pm:

The press release is now at Yahoo News.

UPDATE at 2/19/08 5:38:08 pm:

Another important note: this CAIR press release is not a news story from the wires, although it’s not obvious at Yahoo News—it shows up in a news search for ‘CAIR’, for example. But it’s not from a news wire—it’s from a company called PRNewsWire, an expensive paid press release service with wide distribution. That’s why CAIR always uses it for their smear jobs—and their Saudi funding pays for a lot of smear.

UPDATE at 2/19/08 6:36:25 pm:

To see how closely they’re watching, I put in some code to redirect any links from CAIR’s press releases to go to this page instead, exposing CAIR’s many ties to Hamas and other extremist organizations.

As of this writing, you can still see this redirect in action, by following any of the LGF links at this Yahoo News page.

But the press release at PRNewsWire’s page has now been edited, and the links to LGF have been removed.

We see you.

UPDATE at 2/19/08 9:28:26 pm:

The links to LGF have now been removed from the Yahoo News version too.

 Frank says:

Interviewer:
The notion of a "guitar solo" has preconceptions based on it; people automatically refute it because it's supposed to be self-indulgent or "for musicians." It's almost like things become iconographic and somehow lose their value for outsiders.

Zappa:
Well, whose fault is that? That's what writers do. Musicians don't do that. The average person doesn't sit around thinking about the "iconographic problems of a guitar solo." -- Interview for Musician magazine, by Matt Resnicoff, November 1991. Reprinted in July 1995 Issue.
