The Door Opens - Update: The Door Swings Shut

Every day I receive plaintive requests to be allowed to register at LGF; some people get so frustrated they send me peevish emails. Some might be described as grumpy. Irascible, even.

And I understand the frustration, but there’s a method behind this madness of randomly opening registration—sites with always-open registration always seem to turn into Daily Kos or Digg.com, because moonbats are the most persistent of internet beings. Some moonbats have been known to haunt LGF for years, in fact.

Having said that, without further ado, registration is now open for a limited time. Please make sure you have your spam filters turned off. That’s our most common registration problem by far: a spam filter or challenge/response filter that catches the email before it reaches the prospective hatchling.

Also make sure to read the instructions, caveats, and warnings.

And play nice, but be aware that LGF can be a tough room. Especially for moonbats.

UPDATE at 2/21/08 6:35:11 pm:

Now closed, with 85 hatchlings.

The worst aspect of 'typical familyism' (as media-merchandised) is that it glorifies involuntary homogenization.
