United States representative Edward Nough responds to Amr Moussa’s statement point by point:

WASHINGTON, April 27 (LGF) - The United States warned the Arab League on Saturday that the U.S. could take punitive steps, and perhaps even withdraw its protection of their crude oil supplies, if the Arab League remained “blatantly biased” against Israel.

Speaking to reporters in Washington, in the United States of America, Edward Nough said the Americans were feeling “dismayed, outraged, and disgusted” by the Arab League’s policy in the Middle East and would not stand by and watch Arabs act towards Israel “outside any norms of human decency.”

“No decision has been taken about using cruise missiles (to pressure the Arab League) in the Persian Gulf,” Nough said.

“But if the duplicity and support of terrorism continue, and the Arab League insists on being willfully genocidal and equating mass murder of Israelis with resistance, who knows, things might develop. The doors are open to all sorts of military options. Whether this includes turning the Gulf royal palaces into craters, I can’t say now, but the options are there.”

The often outspoken Nough said that but for U.S. protection of them and their oil supplies, Arab countries would be “completely insignificant dirt-poor sand-covered backwaters,” with their leaders “hanging from lampposts, with a little sway when the wind blows just right.”
