Tech Note: Favorite Tag-o-Rama

Lots of work behind the scenes today on the tag auto-completion feature in your “My Favorites” page. With some more Ajax goodies installed, working with tags is much more responsive.
* If you add a new tag, or delete an existing tag completely from all your favorites, you’ll now see the change reflected immediately in the “Tags” drop-down menu, without reloading the page.
* Any new tags you add are also immediately added to the tag suggestion list, again without reloading. So you can add a tag to one favorite, move to the next, and the new tag immediately shows up in your list of suggestions, ready for you to use.
Ajax — it isn’t just for cleaning the toilet.
This auto-suggest feature is so useful, I’ve also added it to the administrator’s posting pages. Since I’ve been using tags for so long, though, when I first start typing I get hundreds of suggestions.
