This is an art house theater owned by a major chain. When I make the trek down to Orange County from L.A., this is typically where I see films. The facilities are nothing special, but they get a lot of great flicks. Check it out if you're 'round.

The Grand Lake Theatre in Oakland is independent and has nearly weekly 9/11 Troofer events. The owner has a severe case of political dementia.

Wonder if this Edwards place has a similar story?

Regal Cinemas are all over metro Atlanta. 15 locations, most with at least 14 screens ,,, one with 20 !

Edwards is a giant cinema corporation, part of the even larger Regal family if I'm not mistaken (which also includes UA theaters).

Allen Michaan is his name. I worked for him for many years. His theaters are mostly failures but he makes money on the side in antiques. He's a real piece of work (not my first word choice). Oh yeah, he's also a classic, text-book definition of a self-hating Jew.

Just took a peek at my newspaper. Regal Entertainment Group owns all Regal Cinemas, United Artist Theatres and Edwards Theatres. These are all of the major theatres in the Los Angeles area. Looks like I will be patronizing the independent theatres.

Stuck Mojo. One of Mandy's favs. I watched that clip of the Association doing Along Comes Mary a couple of times after lunch.

No lip sync there. My respect for them grew. Not an easy song. Lot's of chord changes coupled with complex vocal arrangement.

I used to go to an Edwards theater in Long Beach, CA but the quality of their work was so bad that one too many times we had to leave when the movie didn't air properly.
Only one time did the management give us our money back.
They are scrapping the bottom of the barrel, employee-wise.

I wonder what the last step will be before they have to show the movie in the mosque basement? Lake Charles Stadium 10 is the nearest Regal owned house to me, and it's still 1.5 hr drive

Obama's tax return for 2007 show a donation of $35,000 to CARE. I wonder if that was really CAIR. Sure wish we could check that out.
