Father, Son Banned From U.K. Swimming Pool for Not Being Muslim

A father and his 10-year-old son were barred from swimming at a U.K. sports center because they are not Muslims, the London Daily Mail reported Thursday.

The father, identified only as David T., told the newspaper that he and his son were stopped before going for a swim at the Clissold Leisure Centre in east London on Sunday morning.

I thought I had become inured to depravity but the chick at Yale who allegedly documents her many pregnancies and abortions over the course of months really takes the cake. Yale has a medical school. Did it occur to no one (her adviser perhaps?) that this girl is seriously disturbed and needs some psychiatric attention? That she would even think of this as an art project suggests real psychological issues. As for me, how dumb am I? I thought you majored in art so when you painted a still life the viewers could identify the fruit in the bowl. This one is more like identifying the fetuses in the toilet bowl before they're flushed into Long Island Sound.

Chris Robinson, Michelle's brother,on HBO's Real Sports, was asked about his brother-in-law's basketball skills.

The brother responded that Barack used to "play black" but now he "plays white." Then he added that all men over 35 "play white".

That explains a lot of things. When he's at Trinity, he plays black; when he's with Matthews, he "plays white".
When he's with Ayers he "plays radical"; when he's with ABC, he "plays patriot".
When he's on Billionaire's Row, he plays socialist; when he's in Wilkes Barre, he plays Democrat.

Another twisted "Art" class project:

A Maine college student has caused a firestorm after plastering the floor of a campus building with American flags to see if anyone would trample Old Glory.

Susan Crane, a student at the University of Maine, Farmington, placed hundreds of flags on the floor of the school's student center Tuesday for an art class assignment. She set down the flags in a maze-like pattern to document whether students and staff would step on them.

Here's the school's response:

The school expected the project would cause a stir.

"Certainly passions are always swirling around the flag," said Celeste Branham, vice president of student and community services at the university.

I think the real problem with this 'art' exhibit is that some professor on campus had to approve the idea as 'art' which it is not. Ever since art became subsidized by the taxpayer it has degenerated into a pissing contest between the artists who do everything for shock value and normal humans who find this stuff stupid, ugly and repulsive.
The definition of what is art has been bastardized and twisted beyond recognition. Now, if she had done this exhibit for a sociology class there might might have been the tiniest bit of logic and legitimacy involved with it.

Nobody is disputing whether or not Obama is an American citizen. He is.

Since he was never naturalized, by exclusion he's born an American.

And whether or not that's even technically true, practically speaking nobody is going to succeed in challenging his candidacy based on this trivia.

Its a non-starter.

1. Reports emanating from Africa allege his mother was in Kenya with his ARAB Kenyan (NOT Black Kenyan) father - this is clearly shown in Kenyan Govt. Registry documents which list the father as an Arab Kenyan - at a very late term of her pregnancy and was not allowed on a flight to return to HAWAII.

She gave birth to him in Kenya, immediately got on a plane and then registered him as being born in Hawaii.

I don't want to see Obama as President either, but this approach not only won't work, its liable to backfire on those trying it.

You go back 45 years and prove to the satisfaction of a bunch of partisan supporters (some of whom could be on the judiciary making this decision) who was and wasn't on what plane when. Ain't going to happen.

Clearly one of Obama's parents is from Africa, and one is American, so by any reasonable conception he's an "African-American", but I find it more interesting that he, in fact, may be of Arab heritage, and not even ethnically African at all.

This changes nothing, of course, but it points to the irony of individuals supporting him on nothing more than his "Blackness" (of which there are many).

I don't know enough about the facts to absolutely call "bullshit", but there are so many problems with the story as written, I can't accept it without a LOT more evidence/documentation.

Apart from what you mentioned, getting pregnant can't happen more than once per month (at most), and it takes some time to be able to detect/prove the pregnancy. Obtaining donated sperm isn't as simple as walking into the bank and swiping your ATM card, and neither is obtaining medical testing on donors.

As to the American flag carpet, to be that's simply dull. As in not clever, not interesting, and not worth speaking about.

These low-level "art" projects seem to be more about how to offend and shock people rather than enlighten, inspire, or entertain, something that is arguably much more interesting, and harder to accomplish.

Desecrating the flag either by burning or other physical means is in NO WAY an expression of free speech, it's wilful and malicious desecration of our nation's symbol, and by extension a denial of this country.

No, it only takes 1 parent, the mother. Trust me, I have this argument with the DMV every time I get a new license. My mother was over seas when I was born and I am still a natural American citizen.

Also I did not mean to screw up the data base with the forward slash.

Yeah, I'm reading this over at Wiki and that's what it looks like.

So was Dukakis.

IMO, Ferraro had this right.

Ultimately Obama is a less than one-term junior senator with not a single national level political accomplishment to his name.

If Obama weren't perceived as "Black" (and I have no opinion on whether he actually is or isn't "Black", nor do I care), he'd have washed our early, and Hillary Clinton would have locked up the Democrat nomination months ago.

I Obtaining donated sperm isn't as simple as walking into the bank and swiping your ATM card, and neither is obtaining medical testing on donors.

Ok, now I have one of these mental images of the future, with the girl standing in front of one of those new vending machines, you know, with the glass front and the conveyors looking at rows of test-tubes with labels on them like "Tall" and "Red-head" She's holding her ATM card in front of her while the girl behind her is saying, "Hurry up! I haven't got all month!"

This is your fault you know.

I've always wondered about the burning. It seems one of the proper disposal methods for an American Flag is by burning. The other is burying.

You've been "punked".

I also disagree, strongly.

There are places where if you tried to burn a flag, you'd go to jail, and I'd rather not see the USA be one of those places.

The fact that you CAN burn a flag if you want to, just shows how great the country the flag represents is.

There is no proiblem at all to take an unserviceable flag to your local VFW, and have them retire it by burning. In such a case, there's no disrespect involved.

In other words hoisting the flaming flag in ones front yard is not recommended?

Done ceremoniously with decorum it is very respectful, and you are quite correct in that it is the proper disposal of an old, tattered flag.

That's part of the irony.

Ferraro herself openly admits (and did at the time of the Obama flap) that she was put on the ticket primarily because of her gender.

If *anyone* has "earned the right" to talk about this sort of thing, its Ferraro.
