There's been talk of burgers, taters, bar-b-que, cole slaw (with Mayo for south of the Mason/Dixon line, with vinegar and oil for north of it) and some CAIR idiots roasted over a spit. But I don't recommend the latter. Bit rotten.

Pius XII states that nothing in Catholic doctrine is contradicted by a theory that suggests one specie might evolve into another—even if that specie is man.
...
Evolution, a doctrine that Pius XII only acknowledged as an unfortunate possibility, John Paul accepts forty-six years later “as an effectively proven fact.” (ROA, 82)

Hee. Could be true. But we're not snobs. My mom is virulently anti-UT, but that's because her most obnoxious brother is so very pro-UT that it drives her nuts when UT wins anything!

Me - I think Pat Summit is on her way to becoming the most successful coach in NCAA history, male or female. And more power to her. (not sure where Adolph Rupp is on the scale)

As for football - I think the University of Tennessee should have an "arrest" rule - if you get nabbed by the cops more than once, then you're out. So far, they don't have that.

Here we go....

Two different things Killgore. psaturn admits that there is evidence of evolution. The point of contention is the origin of life....not the evolution of species.

Listen? No, tomorrow night, he will scream at me at the top of his lungs, call me vile names and walk out of the room when I try to reply.

And he's not a stupid man (senior law partner with a national firm). It's a mental disease.

I do the same-- 20 % for good service, 10 to 15 if buffet stile and yes always leave something even if not best service.

It's hard going to dinner with the nieces, though. They critique the servers mercilessly, and Lord help the servers who don't measure up!

Our DNA fused two pairs of chimp dna, most of the articles I'm finding are waaaaay too damn technical to be of use to those of use with normal brains. I'll have to find it later.

I reject Swamprat's contention and replace it with my own:

I have a degree in Biology and I am a Creationist who has no problems with Natural Selection. Natural Selection is a scientific observation that is well supported.

We all know that species have evolved and mutated. What we disagree on is how life began.

Yep, I usually give them a benefit of doudt. Has to be really really bad to cut tip. I even had a girl spill a glass of ice tea in my lap, and she still got the full tip----it was her first day! Many Many years ago when I was a car hop--I over heard the boss tell a customer there was no need to tip us because he paid us(this is something that has stuck with me all these years)----the pay was so little we had to have the tips to make anything. Oh yea he gave us all the free rootbeer we could drink while working. He was also very mean and hard to work for---I only lasted 3 months. Made better money babysitting and putting up with kids that were brats was easier work then dealing with him.

Not exactly. This is almost impossible to prove, for once the count changes, it is in fact a different animal. Unless you count the genes of parent and child, and happen across the "change"(drink!) litter, you cannot prove evolution. I am an evolution agnostic. My faith does not depend on evolutions' existence, or lack thereof.

238 tommygum  Fri, Apr 18, 2008 6:45:50pm

I have followed Joe Bonnamassa's career since his first album. I was fortunate to see live four times. Once, in a little club on the Isle of Long, this vastly talented young man was playing on a stage maybe a foot high. From mere inches away the boy played like I'd never seen before, or at least remember (well, maybe Cream '68) Every one of his albums has an old rocker that he updates yet still respects. His last album features "Sloe Gin", which Tim Curry (yes, THAT Tim Curry) recorded twenty odd years ago as the possibly most depressing blues song EVAH. I could listen to that tune thirty times in a row!

Anyway, Joe B. rules!

Hey, a good server is deserving of their tip. And the first day ones - bless their hearts! They need encouragement from discerning customers.

A good living can be made from working at a good restaurant. The nieces worked at The Catfish House, a very well-run place (that branched out to 3 or 4 other sites) in rural Mid-TN, where folks love eating well-made catfish and sides. They were able to build up "clients" who always asked to be seated in their sections, and who tipped them well.

The turnover rate in food service is wild! A job in food service can always be found in Nashville and the surrounding towns. And it can be kept if you're willing to work and not slack off.

Oh, Catfish---now your are talking really good eating! ! ! ! Food service is really a harder job than a lot of people think, and a really great server is worth their money in Gold to any company. Lots of people will go back to places just for the service. And many people chose the places they eat by the service they do receive which makes more money for the company.

Clapton "Now why didn't I think of that ?". Just funnin'
wid you slow hand - youz da man who did it first oh so long ago. Blind Faith helped me keep sane (some would argue with that) after the break up of Cream. What an album it was for its time..
Winwood and Baker took me away...Clapton reeled me back in. Do what ya like...ah, the 60's man !
This bass riff is infectious as hell... nice treatment dude !

Not really an extended version...original was 8:47, pretty much exactly time of video. Always one of my favorite tunes and one I got to see Blind Faith play live at the Forum in LA at my first ever rock concert.

Joe's bassist and drummer were extremely fine, Eric Czar really really rocks out, works the Freeman String machine besides a bass. Coming back to MN Zoo in August with I assume the new bass player and drummer Joe had last year. I'm there
