Jimmy Carter's Friends Attack Israel

Sat, Apr 19, 2008 at 9:09:09 am PDT

Mere days after meeting with America’s worst former President, on the eve of Passover, Hamas launches a full scale attack on the border with Israel: 13 soldiers hurt, 2 moderately, as Hamas attacks Kerem Shalom.

Two IDF soldiers were moderately wounded and 11 others were lightly wounded Saturday morning at the Kerem Shalom crossing in the southern Gaza Strip, when Hamas gunmen initiated a coordinated attack on the Israeli side of the crossing, which included heavy gunfire, mortar shell barrages and two car bombs.

The attack began close to 7 a.m. when two vehicles arrived at the crossing under the cover of heavy fog and one of them detonated near army forces, wounding the 13 soldiers. The second booby-trapped car was spotted by troops after the initial explosion and did not go off, the army said.

Immediately afterwards, an armored car - which may have once belonged to Fatah security forces - arrived at the scene, and its occupants began firing at the soldiers, backed by heavy mortar shell barrages.

Four gunmen, including the driver of the car bomb, were believed to have been killed in the explosion and the exchanges of fire that ensued. Forces then entered Gaza in order to search for remaining members of the cell. ...

Defense officials have said the attack was probably the result of months of planning, and its perpeterators probably aimed to kill as many soldiers as possible as well as abduct others. The soldiers’ readiness and quick response prevented a much deadlier attack on the eve of Pessah, they said.

The Song of Moses upon them~

Then Moses and the Israelites sang this song to the LORD :
"I will sing to the LORD,
for he is highly exalted.
The horse and its rider
he has hurled into the sea.

The LORD is my strength and my song;
he has become my salvation.
He is my God, and I will praise him,
my father's God, and I will exalt him.

The LORD is a warrior;
the LORD is his name.

Pharaoh's chariots and his army
he has hurled into the sea.
The best of Pharaoh's officers
are drowned in the Sea of Reeds

The deep waters have covered them;
they sank to the depths like a stone.

Your right hand, O LORD,
was majestic in power.
Your right hand, O LORD,
shattered the enemy.

In the greatness of your majesty
you threw down those who opposed you.
You unleashed your burning anger;
it consumed them like stubble.

By the blast of your nostrils
the waters piled up.
The surging waters stood firm like a wall;
the deep waters congealed in the heart of the sea.

The enemy boasted,
'I will pursue, I will overtake them.
I will divide the spoils;
I will gorge myself on them.
I will draw my sword
and my hand will destroy them.'

But you blew with your breath,
and the sea covered them.
They sank like lead
in the mighty waters.

Who among the gods is like you, O LORD ?
Who is like you—
majestic in holiness,
awesome in glory,
working wonders?

You stretched out your right hand
and the earth swallowed them.

In your unfailing love you will lead
the people you have redeemed.
In your strength you will guide them
to your holy dwelling.

The nations will hear and tremble;
anguish will grip the people of Philistia.

The chiefs of Edom will be terrified,
the leaders of Moab will be seized with trembling,
the people of Canaan will melt away;

terror and dread will fall upon them.
By the power of your arm
they will be as still as a stone—
until your people pass by, O LORD,
until the people you bought pass by.

You will bring them in and plant them
on the mountain of your inheritance—
the place, O LORD, you made for your dwelling,
the sanctuary, O Lord, your hands established.

The LORD will reign
for ever and ever.

~ Exodus 15

related to the subject, it has occurred to me that if the captured IDF soldiers were still alive, Hezbollah would have released one to Jimmy. The left in both Israel and USA would have said "See?, talking to these guys does work". Hezbollah didn't, which makes me think unfortunately that the soldiers are dead.

An effrrt we can all get behind:

U.S. Rep. Sue Myrick
Representing North Carolina’s Ninth District
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
April 16, 2008 Contact: Andy Polk
(202) 225-1976

Rep. Myrick Calls for Former President Jimmy Carter’s Passport to be Revoked

(Washington, D.C.) – Today, Rep. Sue Myrick (NC-9) called on Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to revoke former President Jimmy Carter’s passport. This is in response to the former President traveling to Syria to meet with Hamas, an organization officially designated by the United States as a Foreign Terrorist Organization.

“Former President Carter has acted in contradiction of international agreements to isolate Hamas. He has acted in defiance of both United States policy and international policy. His actions reward terrorists, lend support, and provide legitimacy to their belief that violence will eventually get them what they want,” said Rep. Myrick.

After Hamas won the 2006 Palestinian parliamentary elections the Quartet (US, UN, EU and Russia) called on Hamas to renounce terror, recognize Israel and recognize the previous agreements between the Palestinian Authority and Israel as they seek an agreement to make peace. Hamas has categorically rejected these three conditions for more than two years.

Congress granted the Secretary of State the power to grant and verify passports. In 1981, the United States Supreme Court held in the case of Haig v. Agee that the Secretary of State has the implied power to revoke passports as well (453 U.S. 280).

Logan Act
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Logan Act is a United States federal law that forbids unauthorized citizens from negotiating with foreign governments. It was passed in 1799 and last amended in 1994. Violation of the Logan Act is a felony, punishable under federal law with imprisonment of up to three years.

Hizbullah's continued grasp on Goldwasser and Regev for more than a year tells me that they've been dead for quite some time now. It is believed that both were seriously injured in the attack when they were captured by Hizbullah thugs in the event that precipitated the August war.

Now, we're watching Hamas attempting to recreate the very conditions of the August war by trying to capture Israeli soldiers.

Israel must reconsider its position on going after Hamas leaders, and targeting them throughout Gaza - including their so-called political leaders.

They're nothing but terrorists in suits.

Psalm 25

1 Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul.

2 O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.

3 Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.

4 Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.

5 Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

6 Remember, O LORD, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old.

7 Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O LORD.

8 Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.

9 The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.

10 All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.

11 For thy name's sake, O LORD, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great.

12 What man is he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.

13 His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth.

14 The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.

15 Mine eyes are ever toward the LORD; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.

16 Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I am desolate and afflicted.

17 The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses.

18 Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins.

19 Consider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.

20 O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee.

21 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.

22 Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.

No, it applies to any US citizen.

§ 953. Private correspondence with foreign governments.

Any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.

This section shall not abridge the right of a citizen to apply himself, or his agent, to any foreign government, or the agents thereof, for redress of any injury which he may have sustained from such government or any of its agents or subjects.

1 Stat. 613, January 30, 1799, codified at 18 U.S.C. § 953 (2004).

Not true -

So, Carter, as a private citizen, could be charged under the Logan Act, but it's the second part, without the authority of the US that becomes problematic. Has the Administration sent him out as an emissary? State deplored his contacts, but given the way the State Department works and the use of backchannel diplomacy, it is still possible that he got clearance to go - which is reprehensible in and of itself and doesn't lessen the stink surrounding Carter's repeated meetings with Hamas thugs whose organization is responsible for the deaths of dozens of Americans and who are intent on destroying a US ally and strategic partner in the Middle East.

The USA Strategic Petroleum Reserve is nearly at 100% capacity. The US has been filling it the last few months. Gas prices are real high across the nation, this would be a good time to be releasing some of it into the national system to lower prices slightly instead of hoarding it.

The Syrians have been making some weird military deployments in Lebanon.

I think the US Navy's test of a anti-ballistic missile system, The SM-3 launch to take out the broken US recon sat, was a back door message to Iran/Syria about launching ballistic missiles into Israel.

Related to the above comment, a couple navy cruisers, with the same BMD capability, have been parked off the coast of Lebanon for a while, instead of being with the rest of their group farther west in the Med.

Israel just concluded a huge national military and government drill. This drill included the call up of reserves, something not done lightly since calling up reserves harms the economy.

A couple unrelated items, but when put all together shows some unusual things. But , I'm not sure where all this leads

In Israel they support racial equality and religious tolerance, right? It's Saudi Arabia where an infidel cannot go certain places.

Either way, Carter wants to see Israel wiped off the map. No way of convincing me otherwise.

During the debate, Barack Obama once again refused to condemn former President Jimmy Carter- who publicly supports Obama- for holding talks with the Hamas terrorist group, a group supported financially, politically and military by Iran.

Barack Obama's foreign policy plans have even won him praise from Hamas leaders. Ahmed Yousef, chief political adviser to the Hamas Prime Minister said, "We like Mr. Obama and we hope he will win the election. He has a vision to change America."

We need change in America, but not the kind of change that wins kind words from Hamas, surrenders in Iraq and will hold unconditional talks with Iranian President Ahmadinejad.

I found an article I read w while back and linked it. It is the reason Carter feels as he does. It is a bizarre distortion of Jewish history. It must be remembered that there were 4 Jewish writers who became Christians that described the days of Christ. Each tells the story a little differently, but all are the same in essential details. None blame the Jewish people, nor the Romans for his death. They blame individual Rabbis. Carter seems to think there was some sort of parallel universe in which Christianity always existed, instead of Christianity being a direct descendant of Jewish culture and religion as is taught in most seminaries today, and virtually all evangiacal schools and churches. He also forgets the first debate among the early 'Christians', whether gentiles should be accepted fully.

Fine. If President Carter has diplomatic immunity which prevents his arrest as a terrorist-supporting American, then any American aides and officials that went with him need to be arrested and tried as traitors.

The fact of the matter is our government, the State Department specifically has listed those organizations as TERRORIST organizations. There is no way ANY American official should be meeting with them in any capacity ever. Ever. If President Carter doesn't like he needs to get them de-listed as a terrorist organization, not meeting them on a "diplomatic" mission.

He is a traitor. Those that support him are traitors. Period.

Have you all seen the picture of Pakistani lawyers running through Paki streets protesting Musharraf, like it's Pamplona's running of the bulls?

Today Pakistan tested a nuclear missile called Shaheen-2 that has a range of 2000 kilometers, and Pakistan's new president or prime minister Guilani bragged they did it without US permission or control. Oddly enough, Musharraf's hand chosen head of the Army, Gen. Kayani, wasn't there.

The Carter-inspired islamist nuclear engineers don't love us, despite what DJhimmy the nuclear president who encouraged them says.

Carter is a deeply disturbed man. The Creator's work 'troubles' him:

Considering the Void

When I behold the charm
of evening skies, their lulling endurance;
the patterns of stars with names
of bears and dogs, a swan, a virgin;
other planets that the Voyager showed
were like and so unlike our own,
with all their diverse moons,
bright discs, weird rings, and cratered faces;
comets with their streaming tails
bent by pressure from our sun;
the skyscape of our Milky Way
holding in its shimmering disc
an infinity of suns
(or say a thousand billion);
knowing there are holes of darkness
gulping mass and even light,
knowing that this galaxy of ours
is one of multitudes
in what we call the heavens,
it troubles me. It troubles me.

Unfamiliar with Powerline folks. Perhaps I should have used the descriptor "lizardlike?"

They're good guys. Drop in on them. It's a very informative sight.

Here is a widely (not by the MSM) reported story about a Reuters photographer who was killed in Gaza by an IDF tank that fired (I don't know what it's called) one of the weapons that explodes in the air and releases a bunch of darts. The (Associated with Terrorists) Reuters photographer filmed a bird's eye view of his own demise. Really cool - except for the photographer.

As mentioned in the post, when you hang with terrorists and aim your shoulder-mounted camera at an IDF tank, the tank crew might wonder if they just fired at a guy holding a shoulder-mounted anti-tank weapon or well, it could have been a camera. Do you want to bet your life on it?

A bit off subject but if anyone is in the Albany/Berkeley area today, there's something going down at the Code Pink house on Solano Avenue.

World Can't Wait is asking people to show up to defend Code Pink but I will be there to wave my US flag and tell the Pink trash to get the hell out of Albany.

The house is at 1248 Solano, near Masonic Avenue and the Bart tracks. From what I observed last night, the entire street will be blocked off. The Albany police asked permission to post officers on the roof of my friend's nearby business. It will be interesting to see how they behave in comparison to the Berkeley officers when confronted with mass pink stupidity.

It's supposed to start around 11 am. I hope Zombie can attend. I will bring my camera but I'm not much of a photographer.

I repeat Newt's point, unlike Pelosi's, which is that American ingenuity at inventing cleaner energy, cleaner engines, through cleaner technology is good for America.

People avoid China because it's polluted. People escape their third world hellholes because we have clean water, air, cities, schools.

It is a good thing our country's environment is better than most third world shitholes.

Newt Gingrich wants the USA to continue leading the way in clean technologies. We should encourage the USA to lead, not follow, as Pelosi wants us to do.

The similarities of moonbats and fundies are striking. They both enjoy the trappings of power that come with having a system of dogma that controls their followers by using the fear of excommunication from the group as the prime motivator. In the case of religious fundamentalism, it is even more sinister because an individual's eternal soul is at stake. Moonbats place extreme importance in the social organizations to which they belong. Believing in the importance of the group's cohesion is deemed more important than believing in what might be logically right and reasonable. There is a certain ratio at which belief in group vs. belief in logic enters the unhealthy range.

The website said 11-1 but who knows. The cops didn't announce it very far in advance either. My friend with the business just got a letter from them yesterday but I am sure any permit was acquired well in advance.

I'm a few blocks away and leaving now. If anything interesting happens, I'll post about it when I return.

Most of what he says makes sense, but limiting carbon emissions is not the be-all and end-all of environmentalism. That's where I part with it.

and think about who Newt's in bed with now. He'res an analogy but more severe, I guess. We oppose is-sumists. So does Vlams belang (sp?). Yet we reject any allegiance because they are known white supremecists. Newt supports conservation. he should; he's a conservative. but he should not ally himself with people who are using this as a venue to change our democacy to a socialist stae or worse. They have ONE of the same goals but their agenda is dubious at best!

Our civilization has caught a virus... It is the virus of "GROWTH"... We are constantly attempting to rush headlong into growth... higher profit margins, greater sales levels. It is unsustainable. I pretty much hate the enviro-nazi's, but they are right about a few things.

Natural resources are not unlimited, even the "quote unquote" renewable resources have limitations. If we insist on growing until we exhaust all of our resources the resulting catastrophe will be counted in the billions of lives lost. To continue on our current path is the very definition of insanity.

That said the eco-nazi's are nucking futs... We must plan not for continued growth, but for a viable sustainable future.

i think we have always been fighting journalists. i'm sure i mentioned the old magazine i found at a yd sale last summer. liberty magazine. it was priced 5 cents in l938. it had an article w/ grainy photos by a reporter who went to germany and interviewed hitler. his report was so fawning and glowing and reassuring that shitler was content w/ the aggressive acts he had committed up to that point and had no further designs on europe. he called hitler a nice cultured gentleman. it was strange to read that crazy bs and reflect on what horrors shitler soon unleashed on the world.
in other words, this stupid journalist went to germany and already knew what he was going to write. interesting how he played patty cakes w/ shitler like jimmy carter now plays patty cakes w/ hamas. most of the msm is like this now.

I'm sure Hamas felt guilty about this attack after talking with Jimmy. Perhaps if Jimmy scolds his new friends, they'll pass out flowers and beg the Israelis to forgive them. After all Jimmy sacrificed, I'm sure they wouldn't want him to look foolish.

I'd say 48 to 72 hours just because of the speed of B-2's and B-52's.
I have wondered what would happen if the US fully mobilized and used the full might of its conventional force against our known antagonists and threats without regard to the whines of the "international community" or price tag. There is actually no scientific proof that man contributes to global warming.
When you get the hysterics in a calm mood, they will admit that , but counter with"we can't afford to be wrong."
I think intuitively we kinda know that we do contribute. But it is an almost insignificant amount.
The earth warmed & cooled over & over before Hominid ever appeared.

I'm feeling a parting of the ways coming on with a bunch of lefties who are very good friends of mine. These attacks bring tears to my eyes. I've been to Israel and that wonderful country deserves only the best. But the lefties I know don't cry for these people....because:

1. The middle easterners do this and worse to each other. So why does anyone think the Israelis should think they can avoid it themsleves. And why do the Israelis come out with fewer dead people...

2. These lefties don't think we should have gone into Iraq to stop the 70+ people per day that Saddam Hussein was making disappear and killing. A place where we were ready and had the infrastructure to actually accomplish the change. And even if it is taking some years for the Iraqis to stand back up (thanks to Gen. Patreus's can-do attitudes and actions), the Iraqis are standing up. But my lefty friends DO think we should have sent our American young people into Darfur to stop that massacre. No matter how many died and how unlikely we were to be able to actually change the set-up there. I for one wish we could do them all, with whoever can help from each country (not the U.N.) helping along the way.

3. Haven't there been cases of Jews losing it and killing Arabs just like this type of attack? (I can think of two - that Goldstein guy and somebody who got on a bus a couple of years ago and shot some people, then was killed by the bus patrons). So they're even right? It doesn't matter that it is two attacks from one side and hundreds (thousands) from the other, both sides have been extreme and do these things.

My Israeli friends just chuckle at me wanting people to admit the that Israel deserves to be left alone to do their thing (curing cancer!).

I like lizards in my foxhole, at least while the counter-jihad is raging.
Group cohesion among lizards is good, especially if our aim is no surrender, we win, jihadists lose. I'm primitive in this.

John Adams

A lot of perspective comes with that book. The press started out as a lying pack, in the tank for their politician, to the point of nearly destroying the country right as it was born. If they haven't lied during certain spells, it would have been individual truth tellers (not troofers!) and random journalists with integrity.

re: #9 chicagodudewhotrades

I'm seeing some unusual indicators that something may soon be happening over in the Mid-East. I'm not sure fully what it all means but I think Syria and/or Hezbollah may be getting ready to do something big.

Syrian troops are now strung along a continuous crescent-shaped line from the central Lebanese mountains through Mt Dov on the western slopes of Mt. Hermon and up to southeastern Lebanon. This deployment, commanding Syria’s Israeli and Lebanese borders, is under the command of the president’s brother, Maher Assad. President Assad made a statement on the 17th that war with Israel is possible and we are getting ready.

Egyptian security forces are hunting terrorists in Sinai who slipped through the border when the Palestinians blew up the border crossing. They are looking for four pickup trucks and armed terrorists who are on the loose.

There are rumors that terrorist forces have been detached from Iraq and sent to Lebanon for intensive courses to prepare them for a major offensive in West Europe.

This could get ugly really fast! Syria and Iran have sworn revenge on Israel for assassinating that notorious Hezbollah terrorist (Imad Fayez Mughniyah (December 7, 1962 - February 12, 2008), also known as Mughniyya, Mogniyah). He was somewhat of a folk hero for other terrorists. Sometimes described as a "master terrorist", Mugniyah had been implicated in the 1983 bombings of the U.S. Embassy, and U.S. Marine and French peacekeeping barracks, which killed over 350, as well as the 1992 bombings of the Israeli embassy in Buenos Aires and the kidnapping of dozens of foreigners in Lebanon in the 1980s. Limited information is known about him. He used the alias of Hajj . Mughniyah is included in the European Union's list of wanted terrorists and had a US$5 million bounty on the U.S. Most Wanted Terrorist list. Bio of Hezbollah Mugniyah

One can only hope that the Israeli government does not hamstring the military as it has been doing lately. They need to completely unleash their full power and retaliate without restraint in order to send a strong message to the enemy.

Peace has rarely been obtained through negotiation and appeasement but through overwhelming force and subsequent utter defeat of an enemy.

307 Dahveed  Sat, Apr 19, 2008 11:35:18am

Interestingly enough Carter is meeting with Bashar Assad who is now become an outcast amongst the Arab countries. AIPAC in the latest Near East Report says that at a recent Arab Summit meeting in Damascus Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Jordan sent low-level diplomats and Lebanon boycotted the meeting. (Unfortunately, according to the article, Olmert has been reaching out to Syria for peace talks.)

The point is that Jimmy Carter is paying attention to a government that has become an outcast. So only is he undercutting the US, he is taking the legs out from under our friends (such as they are). This guy has been party to so much instability in that region.

Group cohesion among lizards is good, especially if our aim is no surrender, we win, jihadists lose. I'm primitive in this.

I wouldn't have it any other way. Lizards rule!

Rudy gets a cracker....
Giuliani breaks rules by having Communion at papal mass

Twice-divorced former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani took Communion at a Mass celebrated by Pope Benedict on Saturday, breaching rules that bar those who remarry outside the Church from doing so.

As he left New York's St. Patrick's Cathedral with his third wife, Judith, the failed presidential candidate confirmed to Reuters that he took Communion from a priest.

Asked if he was uncomfortable with having broken the Church ban on the divorced and remarried taking Communion, Giuliani said, "No."

Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko said last week that he was negotiating a deal to allow Libya to grow wheat on nearly 250,000 acres of Ukrainian soil, the Wall Street Journal reported. In return, Ukraine would get a cut of future energy and construction deals in Libya.

So Jimmy steps off the plane in Atlanta, GA (provided his passport dosen't get yanked) and the FBI shows up to clap him in irons for violating the Logan Act. Jimmy's lawyers are going to try to keep him out of the joint so they'll say that Hamas isn't a "foreign government or any officer or agent thereof". This might piss off Hamas. "We are so a goverment!" Jimmy walks, unless someone rules that Hamas made itself a government by "winning" a civil war against the rest of the PA. Also, one could prove the "agent thereof" part by showing a link between Hamas and Iran, probably a money trail or those commando guys that keep training terrorists in Iraq. With that cleared up, should we put him in FCI Jesup (closer to home) or just jam him in a Supermax (he is a national security risk)?

Rudy Giuliani won't be a Carter consorting with Caliphaters!

341 Ayatollah Ghilmeini  Sat, Apr 19, 2008 12:35:36pm

The only question is whether the attack was in celebration of Carter's abject idiocy or as the usual pre-Jewish Holiday violence these a-holes feel religiously compelled to do.

I was particularly offended by Carter's complaint that so many Palestinians die for each Israeli killed. How is this a bad thing? Would Mr. Carter prefer more Israelis die so the same number are gone? Does he have any idea how many Hamasniks would die in a single brute force air-raid.

Does anyone think Carter suggested Hamas not import Iranian/Hezbollah cash and terror planners? Does anyone think Carter would have the courage to demand they quit the attacks or he would no longer speak on their behalf?

You know the answers to all these questions. The single greatest failure in modern history makes a fool and an ass of himself in one of the most ill-considered diplomatic farces ever. With the entire region on the verge of war (and we are very close to all out war at any moment), Carter did nothing to make the situation any better.

In the next war, ruin and destruction will come to fall all over the region. The next war will see cities bombed and civilians die in large numbers. You will see war crimes of gigantic magnitude and you will watch Carter never admit his own responsibility for the disaster by lending his name and, the legitimacy of his former office (he has none of his own) to avowed genocidal enemies of America and Israel.

40,000 rockets sit in Hezbollah's arsenal waiting to crash down on Israel. 40,000 rockets all brought in violation of UNSC 1701. He met with men who have murdered many Americans and declares them a necessary partner for peace instead of obstacles to Peace that must be killed in the same way that Hitler's Germany could only be cured by the complete arrest and destruction of its leaders and offices. He met with people who have conspired to murder US soldiers, the very men and women who he, as a former commander in chief, has a moral obligation to defend to the death.

He meets with the people who danced at the news of Anwar Sadat's death and the WTC's destruction. There is no fixing such idiocy; one just hopes for the least amount of damage from it.

OT::::5:15 on east Coast...So...?

A CNN journalist heard about a very old Jewish man who had been going to the Western Wall to pray, twice a day, every day, for a long, long time.
So she went to check it out. She went to the Western Wall and there he was, walking slowly up to the holy site. She watched him pray, and after 45 minutes, when he turned to leave, using a cane and moving very slowly, she approached him for an interview :

'Pardon me, sir, I'm Rebecca Smith from CNN.  What's your name?

'Morris Fishbien,' he replied.
'Sir, how long have you been coming to the Western Wall to pray?'

'For about 60 years.'

 '60 years! That 's amazing!  What do you pray for?'

'I pray for peace between Christians, Jews and Muslims. I pray for all
the wars and all the hatred to stop. I pray for all our children to grow up
safely as responsible adults, and to love their fellow man.'

'How do you feel after doing this for 60 years?'

'Like I'm talking to a fuckin' wall.'

HAPPY PASSOVER TO ALL OF THE JEWISH FAITH.

I'm seeing some unusual indicators that something may soon be happening over in the Mid-East. I'm not sure fully what it all means but I think Syria and/or Hezbollah may be getting ready to do something big.

Theres been talk of this for a while. It would be Syria, hez and Hamas.

But as Debka is one of the main parties talking about this Iit lowers my belief that its gonig to happen (they said the same thing last year).

Oh yeah, the UN launders US taxpayer dollars and gives it to the "Palestinians" so they can buy food. But, but...

352 eaglewingz08  Sun, Apr 20, 2008 4:19:53am

First imagine if Israel launched an attack on the eve of one of the muslims most important holidays. Would the hue and cry from the world be off the Richter scale? You bet. But not a peep from the UN about this attack. Second, the lizards who minimize or mock the attack are missing the point. It was not meant to be successful in a strategic sense. It is meant to ambush and obtain Israel soldiers, two to five soldiers. Why, because fakistinians operate according to a foreign currency exchange mentality that unfortunately for good hearted reasons, but poisonous foreign policy reasons the Israelis have encouraged. Each Israeli prisoner is worth approximately four hundred fakistinian cold blooded terrorist prisoners. Thus, by capturing three to five, you could empty Israeli prisons of these fiends and build a new brigade to capture more Israelis plot more genocidal acts, etc. Third, the Logan Act does not bar dJimmah's intercourse with HAMASS because HAMASS isn't a GOVERNMENT. The PA may not even be considered a GOVERNMENT because it isn't associated with a legitimate recognized STATE/COUNTRY. However he did meet with the foreign head of a state, SYRIA, but the US State Department didn't warn him against meeting with Bashar Al Asswad, so no prosecution there is likely. Fourth, I am sure that conspiracy with terrorist organizations is some type of federal crime. I ask the criminal lawyer lizards on the board, isn't it true you could be convicted of such conspiracy even if you had good intentions in your heart, if your acts give aid and comfort to the terrorist organization's acts. Say a terrorist asks you for your car 'to pick up some bread for his momma'. Then outfits your car with bombs and takes it to a bakery to blow up some Jooooos or some other civilian business or temple or church. Couldn't that person be convicted even though he did not (supposedly) intend such result? So, if that is true, couldn't dJimmah be lending the same type of criminal support to these terror groups for which he should be criminally liable?

353 londonpride  Sun, Apr 20, 2008 4:47:39am

re: #306 Whatchamacallit

Is your source Debka? Because the above looks very much like what they have been saying - I have been watching Debka get it very very wrong from 2002 onwards and my confidence level in them is barely above zero.
