Some more Sunday music... Earth Wind and Fire

Devotion

Through devotion, blessed are the children
Praise the teacher, that brings true love to many
your devotion, opens all life`s treasures
and deliverance, from the fruits of evil.
So our mission, to bring a melody,
ringin` voices sing sweet harmony

For you here`s a song, to make your day brighter.
One that will last, you long thru troubled days.
Giving your heart the light to brighten.
All of the dark that falls in your way
You need devotion. bless the children
deliverance from the fruits of evil

In everyone`s life, there`s a need to be happy.
Let the sun shine, a smile your way.
Open your heart, feel a touch of devotion.
Maybe this song, will help uplift your day.

Make a better way
You need devotion

Besides, Charles was/is a professional musician for many years. You might not like his music, but that doesn't mean it sucks. I do consider him an expert.

I don't like everything he suggests or links to, but a lot of it is by artists I've never heard of, and if he (or anyone else) links to something that's good, that's great.

re: #105 godfrey

I'm on iPhone so the app no worky. Charles links Rush? I always thought Charles would go for neo-soul, not shred and the progs. Not that I mind. I'd like to see some Haydn someday, just for us tippler types.

No, he didn't. We've just been poking at each other.

re: #97 MandyManners

He'll turn into a tall blonde? Won't that diminish Ann Coulter?

Ever see Johnny Winter turn sideways?

No! Me neither. He's so thin that he disappears and all you see is a guitar hanging in mid air.

But the sound....who was it that said he played too many notes? I never thought so. Ah, those were the days. I feel sorry for kids today. Especially there's an entire generation who know nothing about music except rap and hip hop...unbelievable.

re: #106 Son of the Black Dog

Sorry, but I didn't think anyone would ever see my comment if it was posted on the Ben Stein thread. However, by the way the number of comments keeps jumping, it looks like they're still going strong.

It'll slow down after midnight.

re: #109 So?

Loved the Edgar Winter Group's "Frankenstein". I have heard it many, many times on Classic Rock stations paired with "Hocus Pocus" by Focus. They're totally different pieces of music, but fit together like Peanut Butter and Jelly.

Hey Charles, I'm still on Timeless2. I like guitar in it's many iterations. I also appreciate the dynamic shifting from left brain Stein thread to this right brained music appreciation.

Is there any other method to your madness in song selection? [O God My Heart is Ready]

I saw Rush on their Power Windows tour, but I must have been high as hell because I'd totally forgotten about it until I stumbled upon the ticket stub.

So you're one of these guys we used to laugh at- Pay a decent amount of dinero for a concert ticket, and we'd see them sitting there passed out before the concert even started!

Since you listen to such tasteful and timeless classics, I can understand where you get off insulting Charles' choice of music.

Please allow me to offer my humble apologies. I didn't understand we were in the presence of such a Rennaissance man.

/must I?

re: #107 Fat Bastard Vegetarian

I just don't get the joke...whaaaa?

I think Mandy asked if "Mr. Rush" had lost some weight. As you know he was a pretty thin guy. But nobody compares to Johnny Winter. He's the thinnest guitarist on the planet. Lucky if he measures 3 inches when he stands sideways. He always plays topless... to show off his tatoos.

Go Johnny Go Go Go....Johnny plays good.
