To bad there hasn't been a real debate yet rather than a lot of press conferences where the 'candidates' spouted a few one liners and the sos boilerplate rhetoric.

Besides, someone might offend him by asking a question he couldn't answer without damning himself. Like why he's voted against the 2nd every chance he could.

re: #23 savage_nation

I wonder hows he's gonna wiggle out of debating McCain if he wins the Democrat nomination....

It'll be easy then. McCain is easily made into a mean oppressor by the MSM, with no fears (like they have of pissing off the Clintons)

. . . so it could get up and just randomly say non-connected words, then wait for the msm to do the rest.

Besides... some of the msm comes down against Obama, which is hurting him. If he becomes the nominee for the Dems, only FOX will dare to speak ill of him.

Since most people don't watch the debates for any substance, but to see what 'juicy' things happen (then get the proper spin on the 'issues' from CBS the next night), there's no problems with ACTUAL performance against McCain.

(Cynical? Yeah, probably... )

Lizards,

I posted this a couple of days ago. If you have not read Obama's "Dreams From My Father", I urge you to do so. The book reveals Obama for what he is at the core. A Communist. Here's a snippet:

"In 1983, I decided to become a community organizer. There wasn't much detail to the idea; I didn't know anyone making a living that way. When classmates in college asked me just what it was that a community organizer did, I couldn't answer them. Instead, I'd pronounce on the need for change. Change in the White House, where Reagan and his minions were carrying on with their dirty deeds. Change in the Congress, compliant and corrupt. Change in the mood of the country, manic and self-absorbed. Change won't come from the top, I would say. Change will come from a mobilized grass roots. That's what I'll do, I'll organize black folks. At the grass roots, for change."

Lizards, 1983 was the beginning of one the longest economic booms in our history. More people were lifted out of poverty in the 1980's than ever before, worldwide. 1983 was when we started to finally destroy communism. If Obama had succeeded in change in 1983, there would still be a Soviet Union. What the f-*** is he talking about? And guess what kind of change he is referring to now. Yep, you guessed it. Communism, worldwide communism. Don't believe me? Read his books. He tells you.

Hopefully, neither one will take a "Wide Stance" while in the stall.

This just keeps getting better. After the 'Reporting for Duty' John Effin Kerry flamed out in 04, largely because he failed to adequately address the truth and facts over his service and post-war activities, we now have Barry whinging about being swiftboated, completely unable to factually address his questionable connections and revelations of being an extreme leftist - he decides to even bail on a debate moderated by SeeBS.

I think most Democrats are now seeing that red warning light flashing consistently out of the corner of their eye warning about 08. They've gone too far to dump Barry, his baggage, and African American support. Hillary offers only a little less baggage and similar levels of polarization in the Party. At best, perhaps the party can grasp to holding Congress.....but given the performances of Reid and Pelosi there is the risk of another Congressional backlash.

Bitter? Just watch the left after election day this November.

The sad understory of all of this is that poor wittle Katie won't get the face time that she DESERVES! Why does Barack Obama hate women?

/ new Clinton campaign tactic....teehee

** I have to note that I love that the spell check embedded within Firefox 3 Beta 8 does not recognize either "Barack" or "Obama." Hilarious.

My God, Michelle is actually worse. They may have been to school, but neither one seems to have gotten educated

And yet, between the two of them, they earn half a million dollars a year (not counting book royalties).

In an evil, racist America, where it's impossible for "people of color" like them to get ahead.

I'm seriously confused...

Yes, know thy enemy. He also has quite the case of self hatred, especially in regard to his white blood.Dangerous and pliant, a disturbing combination.

His Campaign Manager, David Axlerod has history of far left politics. He is smart.
The calculus may be that the damage BHO could do to himself in debate would be worse than the fall out from this.
They are going with, they are winning & don't need the debate.
No matter what, Barry is a wuss.

Of course he bailed, it would mean possibly having to answer a relevant question or two.

It's so much easier to give cotton candy "change" and "hope" speeches.

It really is kind of gas watching all these various 'polls' competing for the bandwagon effect of the Hillary R Clinton Vs. Whatshis-face (no middle name) Obama nominations.

We're talking the dream-ticket...it's just a matter of who drives and who rides....

"May be?"

That's absolutely the reason for it. Someone over there's finally realized that their candidate's free pass from the MSM has apparently been revoked, and they can't risk letting him speak on TV when they can't control what he says.

Honestly, I think that McCain can actually win. Well actually, he is the default candidate, so it is probably more accurate to say the Barry or Hillary can lose.

One can only hope they piss each other off to the point of no return. If they tag-team McCain they will win the white house.

However, there were also growing concerns about what another debate would do to party unity.

Hillary will have to put him on the ballot as VP (IMO.)
He won't have to ask her. And I don't think she'd accept anyway.
She's tired of playing second fiddle.
Actually, I think she was tired of that by 1992.
