Belien Smears Dissident Frogman

Tue, Apr 22, 2008 at 8:40:00 am PDT

Vlaams Belang shill Paul Belien at The Brussels Journal (or his “desk”) indulges in a blatantly dishonest headline to smear Dissident Frogman and his article on Brigitte Bardot: Moral Equivalence: My Rifle as Ready to Shoot Brigitte as Shoot Islamists.

Belien has written and said similarly vicious and dishonest things about me, of course. He probably felt compelled to attack Frogman for two reasons: 1) because Bardot is affiliated with the fascist French National Front and Jean-Marie Le Pen, and so is the Vlaams Belang, and 2) because Frogman wrote the following sentence as a footnote to his piece, referring to the conflict over bloggers who support fascist groups like the Vlaams Belang:

And yes, before you ask I was/am behind Charles Johnson on this one.

Frogman responds to Belien:

But honestly, all I really feel like saying at the moment is: “Thanks to the Desk at the Brussels Journal for reminding me yet again why I’ve consistently kept both Right-wing and Left-wing fascists at bay in my life and on my blog all these years.”

Wish everybody, particularly in Europe, could say the same.

Ah, Paul Belien and his desk The Brussels Journal. The gift that keeps on giving, damnit!

And we are surprised about this....Why?

Some one should let Obama know that there are bitter white people in Europe who need him alot more than we do.

Hey, maybe that will work. Some one needs to convince waffle man that he can save Europe. Then maybe he will leave us alone.

7 coquimbojoe  Tue, Apr 22, 2008 8:44:53am

I was just reading his very good article posted yesterday. It is a great overview, and one that sheds tons of light, rather than the regular Bridgette Bardot is being persecuted for speech....

Belien's just pissed over the fallout from the split last year.

As has been stated before, we are pro-freedom, and will not align nor debase ourselves to align with fascists of any stripe, even if they are anti-jihad as the Vlaams Belang claims to be.

Mr. Belien, I know you are reading, therefore, please kindly fuck off.

Frogman is at the ready with his rifle if need be if any one flavor of Fascist gains power and starts to act out its fantasies.

Pretty simple reading.

A rare opportunity where the mad mullahs are actually funny:

"Sarko l'Americain" is another common insult, although the French may soon have to think up a fresh one if the Americans elect a president who delivers speeches like the one Barack Obama gave on race, while this country has its first modern leader not to have graduated from the country's upper-crust schools, a head of state who, on a recent visit to the Vatican, arrived late, with an exceptionally crude French stand-up comic named Jean-Marie Bigard in tow. The coup de grace: The hyperactive Sarkozy reportedly text-messaged somebody or other while with the Pope. "We are all ashamed," [a French fiction writer] said, about the president's lack of interest in culture and his general bucks-and-babes style. "I mean, taking Bigard to the Pope. Even as a writer I couldn't have invented that." (Truth be told, he sounded more grateful than angry.)

Of course, when the Pope speaks to the UN about human rights, the Palestinian representative is chewing gum, and the icons of French culture don´t even notice.

Hey, I'm nothing if I don't at least attempt to be polite. :-)

It is ironically polite...Ha!

There would be no need for split if Mr. Belien would have separated himself from racist ideology, fascist ideology...and kept it simple, a non racially based movement fighting an evil ideology (Islamofascism) that tries to bend humankind to a specific worldview that is anathema to the Western Civilization as we know it.

Mr. Spencer wrote a fine piece on that subject quite recently.

"Moral Equivalence"- that is such bullsh*t, paul.

It's bullsh*t, because the tactic of calling "moral equivalence" is used when comparing the moral to the immoral and equating the two as though both were equally valid. Problem is- euro-fascism isn't moral, nor is islamo-fascism. To try to claim Frogman is using moral equivalence in this case is to suppose one of the two forms of fascism is superior to the other, when both are actually equally repugnant. What Frogman did was point out the actual moral equivalence going on here in people equating Bardot to Oriana Fallaci- and you have the unmitigated gall to smear him for that. You should be ashamed of yourself, but I know you won't be.

According to the Wikipedia page, the first one may have been in '69. They also twist a little to justify the date as being significant for other reasons than Lenin. Some are somewhat believable, like John Muir (mistakenly thought to be Apr.22 instead of actually Apr.21) and Eddie Albert (actually Apr.22). I guess they were big Green Acres fans.

I fell into automatic Bardot support until I read the Frogman's post the other night. That was a service rendered.

I was referring to the whole blog fight, not just the single post at DF. I should have been more clear on that. But yes, I have learned that Europe is dealing with a lot more nutjobs, and more deeply entrenched nutjobs, than we seem to have over here. I wonder if our style of freedom of speech makes it too easy for our nutjobs to expose themselves before they really become entrenched? I'm sure that is one of many safeguards of our young republic.

Actually, I think it's their parliamentary form of government that allows small, fringe parties to gain a stronger foothold in the public debate by winning a few seats.

It also makes a difference in that European nation states were created specifically as Ethnic enclaves, where as the US was an ethnically mixed enclave of classical liberalism.

I just wish people would stop referring to "Right wing Fascist" There is no such thin. All fascist are left wing. The ultra extreme of the right is anarchist.

I completely agree in that I am always tooting the "nationalism/racism does not equal right-wing" horn. Leftist try to play that game, and we fall right in with it. What is right-wing about the KKK? They seek to limit the personal liberty of people, and would use the power of the group to do it. That is left-wing.

But I would disagree with you on the conclusion on anarchists. If one thinks of the right-left scale as measuring governmental power, yes anarchism would ultra-right. But in reality, the right-left scale is measuring personal liberty. With anarchy, there is no personal liberty; it devolves to thug-rule, jungle law.

Governments are necessary to protect personal rights, like life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That is their only just purpose. For the rest, they should butt the heck out.

My humble opinion.

re: #141 Charles Simmonds

Ahem.

Embarrassing is not knowing the name of the person you're attempting to insult.

The former NBA player Charles (Chuck) Taylor that invented the second coolest sneakers on the planet is not the head lizard of LGF.

The former NFL player (Washington Redskins) and very cool guy named Charles (Charley) Taylor is not the head lizard of LGF.

The former leader of Liberia, warlord, war crimes suspect, and all around very uncool guy named Charles (shithead) Taylor is not the head lizard of LGF either.

Our fearless leaders name is Charles JOHNSON. Don't forget it.

===

It seems clear beyond measure that most of the readers of LGF know more about Flanders than most Europeans.

We know beyond any shadow of a doubt that Paul Belien and his Brussels Journal/desk are nothing but a propaganda mouthpiece for the Flemish white racist neo-nazi political party Vlamms Blok/Blang.

Dear Simmonds,

Truly remarkable: I see in this thread heightened concern -- showing the greatest possible sensitivity to danger -- about fascists in .... EUROPE, displayed alongside apparent simultaneous insouciance and obliviousness toward the naked fascism that is being played out right here in Texas with the 400-plus FLDS children that have been snatched from their parents and who are going to be farmed out to ... God knows where...."for their own good." That is pure evil.

Note to skeptical lizards: Not all fascists wear jackboots and speak in sinister European accents -- fascists can ALSO wear cowboy boots and speak with a broad Texas drawl.

He's not giving nukes to Ghadaffi. You can't enrich uranium from the French reactors.

If you want to use nukes to power the giant steam engines for your electricity use, then the right way to go is not to corner the totalitarian markets as if there was no tomorrow, but to permanently solve the problem of the storage of the nuclear waste.

When Ronald Reagan said "a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we'll ever see on this Earth" he might have been wrong. Nuclear waste is. I am not convinced that the half-life of the IAEA will come anyhow close to that of nuclear waste.

PS: Do you really expect Saif al-Islam al-Gaddafi would give up his pet tigers for Tiger helicopters?
