New Candidate for Weakest Hit Piece Ever

Wed, Apr 23, 2008 at 6:39:29 pm PDT

Here’s a telling comparison.

Since the Media Matters Eric Boehlert hit piece on “warbloggers” was posted this morning at 9:51 am Pacific, we’ve received exactly 36 hits from people who clicked one of the two links in Boehlert’s article. (One of them was probably from Keith Olbermann.)

36.

But since Glenn Reynolds linked to our post about Boehlert’s hit piece, at about 5:45 pm Pacific (less than an hour ago), we’ve gotten more than 900 hits from people who clicked his link.

The Instapundit number is going up faster than I can keep track of it. It’s already gone over 1,000 since I started writing this post.

The Media Matters number is staying at ... 36.

George Soros isn’t getting a good return on his Media Matters investment.

I'd be curious to see how many from Media Matters are also looking at Malkin or any of the milblogger sites. But yes, it suggests that Soros should stick to manipulating currencies instead of manipulating the internet.

The buried inference in the assertion that "warbloggers" take anything the Pentagon says as "gospel", is the fact that the Soros-crowd assume that the exact opposite of what comes out of the Pentagon is the truth: that every man/woman in the military, defense department, etc., are engaged in an airtight conspiracy to subvert the truth to further the interests of Big Oil/ Haliburton.

Two people can keep a secret if one of them is dead. Millions can keep a secret if they're protecting Haliburton.

those 36 clicks may have come from people who doubted the MM conclusions and wanted to read more directly from LGF. Perhaps there were thousands of others who read the MM hit piece and bought the analysis hook, line, and sinker and didn't feel any need to click the link to see for themselves.

Same with LGF, Ace, Malkin, and Hot Air. You get linked by one of them, and hundreds of hits come rolling in.

Media Matters? Not so much - which speaks to the incuriousness of their reader(s).

Apparently not from what Charles said. FWIW Charles seems to do a fine job of policing the commentary, something that the lefty sites fail to do.
Some times I wish he would leave the final straw in an edited form so people could understand why "given" is a has been. A small sample collection might help to ward off intruders, but also might educate them enough as to where the fine line is, and the last thing any blog needs is an invasion of educated losers. Of course, most of the idiots from DailyKOS would step over the line in a matter of hours or at most days.

If we all will now stipulate to Clinton's point that there is a certain amount of racism and bigotry in the Democrat party and in Pennsylvania and in America, here's two questions the Super Delegates and every voter better ask themselves to judge who is best to lead "on day one":

1. How much of Clinton's 10 point "victory" can be attributed to just those bigoted voters?
2. Does any candidate deserve the Democratic nomination, in particular, and the White House if his/her margin of "victory" came from just the bigoted voters?

Got that. DNC bloggers saying Hillary owes her success to bigots.

Here's an excellent article I found at CRC:

Just three years ago the Democratic Party was in disarray. Despite record high-dollar donations from affluent supporters, Democrats had failed to reclaim the White House and Congress. Shell-shocked by their defeat, George Soros and other wealthy liberals formed a loose-knit group to consider how to fund a political comeback. Their answer: Create a permanent political infrastructure of nonprofits, think tanks, media outlets, leadership schools, and activist groups—a kind of “vast left-wing conspiracy” to compete with the conservative movement. The group they created –called the Democracy Alliance (DA)— is meant to be a financial clearinghouse. The Alliance got off to a rocky start, but to date it’s brokered more than $100 million in grants to liberal nonprofits. The goal is not merely to elect Democrats this November, but to permanently realign U.S. politics.

OK...   Which one of you is mobying over at DKoz as Galadriel?

Like Spike Lee said: Black people can't be racist. Whites invented that sh!t. Because of that, Whites can't be the victims of racism. Not trusting Clinton means you recognize her as being the vile racist liar she is. Not trusting Obama is code for racism.

Wright is right. His comments were not controversial to anyone with an education... [Rev. Wright] is one of the great truth-tellers of our time. Obama should be praised for bringing the brilliance of Wright to a wider audience.

Obama lost because of the stupidity and racism of rural Pennsylvania voters.

Got that. DNC bloggers saying Hillary owes her success to bigots.

She owes it to Rush.

I agree, JeremyR. While I totally respect LGF as Charles backyard, there are times when I wish he would allow the abrasive types to hang around. They can be informative and do serve a useful purpose as punching bags.

If we are to do battle elsewhere, we need a place to practice.

"Right, you lot. This 'ere is a troll. Trolls is nasty, deceivin' types. 'Eres how you smell 'em out..."

re: #109 Mich-again

Oh its funny over at the Run DNC blog. They call it "Kicking Ass - The Democratic Party Blog" Which is kind of funny, They are not actually kicking ass, no, they are the ass who is kicking... but they are kicking each other in the teeth. HA!

Got that. DNC bloggers saying Hillary owes her success to bigots.

Lefty slings the term "bigot" around like cowpies. To lefty, you're a bigot if you fart in a crowded elevator.

Spike Lee is a racist moron. Over rated idiot. The Emperor without clothes. About as artistic as Snoopy Dog.

Just left the *dipshit Republican candidate for Congress* thread to go to bed, but had to stop here after reading Charles' intro:

Since the Media Matters Eric Boehlert hit piece on “warbloggers” was posted this morning at 9:51 am Pacific, we’ve received exactly 36 hits from people who clicked one of the two links in Boehlert’s article. (One of them was probably from Keith Olbermann.)

36.

But since Glenn Reynolds linked to our post about Boehlert’s hit piece, at about 5:45 pm Pacific (less than an hour ago), we’ve gotten more than 900 hits from people who clicked his link.

ROFLMAO! Just so you know.....

Goodnight all, and PLEASE.... be kind to one another!
