Gary Ackerman "D" from NY blames the US administration for trying to ruin the 6 party talks with North Korea by releasing information about Israel's strike on the nascent nuclear facility. Other Democrats are bitching that they did not find out more sooner. I wish these guys would get their stories straight!

We are already in perilous times, and we are heading toward a fateful decision -- will the 21st century's bloodletting reach unholy new highs, or will the free and good folks of the world simply step aside and let evil reign? We have passed the point at which talk, education, and diplomacy can make a difference... slavery, repression, and threats of violence carry the day in most of the world.

NG published an embarrassing recantation. However, it seems that their open honesty may have been shortlived."

Or an unfortunate instance of false but accurate, which NG was possessing of enough integrity to own up to. As Killgore Trout's spin-off link earlier relates, recent DNA testing of basic proteins from dinosaur fossils substantially, though not entirely, supports the idea for modern avians being evolutionary descendants of the dinosauria.

I have been on-board with all that you have mentioned. I should have said that I think, very soon, action will replace words and we as a nation will let the cards fall where they may. Up till now we have sat back and watched Israel deliver the punch and suffer the consequences of her actions. I sense that the time of us taking a pro-active and definitive action in the ME is fast approaching (ie: Iran). Iraq was a faint. I sense something along the lines of of a "knock-out punch" is in the works. I remember GWB stating that he would not leave the Iranian problem for the next administration. I think, hope, that this adminstration will take the necessary action to prove to the world why we are the world's only super power.

Just a gut feeling on my part.

Think about it, just for a minute. According to evolutionists, dinosaurs are supposed to have died off 60 MILLION years ago!

How can anything that is protein based, like DNA, still be around today if they are really that old? I mean, if you put a blood sample on the shelf, and check it a week, or a month later, how much is left? How about after a year, 10 years? Get the point.

So are dinosaurs really all that old?

From the same site.

And whilst the author does a good job of ignoring the points raised by the "evolutionist" whilst also managing to ignore the fact that the original article is just as, if not more so, guilty of the levelled crimes, the points raised by Dr Weiland are credible. In addition, whilst the discovery of even slightly intact biological material from a fossil is astonishingly rare, the possibility has previously been theorised, if not quite in such a manner.

Leaving all that aside however, the remaining quantities of enduring evidence for the dating of fossils and geological strata being accurate will also need to be disproved for the literal account of Genesis (meaning the 6000 years claim) to gain validity. Evolution could be disproved rather simply, though it hasn't been yet. Geological dating being debunked would require a bit more effort.

Let me add more clarification to my post @#60. I'm speaking about this administration, who understands the threat this country faces, is about to un-leash the "dogs of war". Nothing garners respect more than the exercise of power. We have muzzeled those dogs for too long. In WWII, those dogs ended what would have been a very costly end to the war. Truman understood that. GWB has a similar understanding. It takes nerve to un-leash those dogs. Truman had it and I suspect GWB "has" it. This country needs to let the rest of the world acknowledge what we already know. We are the world's only super-power and there is a reason for it.

Biblical scholar, House Speaker Pelosi caught making up her own scripture and using it over an extended period of time at several different events.

Biblical Scholars Challenge Pelosi's 'Scripture' Quote
By Pete Winn
CNSNews.com Senior Staff Writer
April 23, 2008

(CNSNews.com) - House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) is fond of quoting a particular passage of Scripture. The quote, however, does not appear in the Bible and is "fictional," according to biblical scholars.

In her April 22 Earth Day news release, Pelosi said, "The Bible tells us in the Old Testament, 'To minister to the needs of God's creation is an act of worship. To ignore those needs is to dishonor the God who made us.' On this Earth Day, and every day, let us pledge to our children, and our children's children, that they will have clean air to breathe, clean water to drink, and the opportunity to experience the wonders of nature."

No, I fervently pray you are right!

But I think they are going in the opposite direction. The confirmation of the ban of the word "jihad" from the State Department can only be seen as a surrender. They cannot find a way to winnow the jihadists from the rest of the Muslims, so they decided to throw in the towel. I think they are going to downscale the war and take a legalistic/diplomacy approach... essentially try to cajole Muslims away from the inconvenient half of their beliefs, and double up on the "religion of peace" bullcrap they feed to the rest of us. They're never gonna admit the true extent of the threat, because they are deathly afraid of the actions that admission would demand.

Will we take care of the growing problem in the ME? I think not, the people of the once great U.S. of A. have grown soft and listened to the leftists for so long that they cannot stomach the thought of winning the upcoming battles.

The average american, most of which are moderates of one party or the other, or outright leftists, only want to talk the issues away as the great British appeaser did prior to World War II.

They have sissified boys and have convinced an ever growing portion of the population that only the government can provide for their well being.

There is a small hard core of men, and women, who will fight very well when the time comes. Most of the rest have been convinced by the left that we as a nation have no right to secure our future. The left demonized our efforts in every war since WWII. Look at the results in Korea, Vietnam and what they are trying very hard to do with Afghanistan and Iraq.

We have to convince the people of this country that it is worth saving, that there is more than self gratification that is important, that patriotism is not a negative.

Remember how Ronald Reagan made us proud of our country, we need to groom leaders who think the same way. We need to bring back the idea that morales are not something that can be thrown aside without cost.

Thanks for letting me vent.

Remember how Ronald Reagan made us proud of our country, we need to groom leaders who think the same way. We need to bring back the idea that morales are not something that can be thrown aside without cost.

Thanks for letting me vent.

I think not!

I suspect that there are more of us that think the way you do than you realize. The problem we face is that we don't get the MSM attention we deserve. You have chosen the right venue to vent.

If 156,000 Allied Troops on D-Day is called an invasion, what do you call 30,000,000 Illegals? Someone needs to ask McCain to explain that to the guys fighting and dieing over in the Middle East.

Well, I have my own grocery bag this week to support green. Even though I know that my Chinese doppleganger is smoking 10 extra packs of cigarettes this week and throwing his KFC wrappings into the Yangtze river. He views it as his right being the center of the world and all. And he never feels the waste in the ocean. His 5 day a pack habit deadens his social green consciousness quite a bit. He is uncooperative.

So I was thinking what would make a green impression on him. Besides marketing St Patrick's day green beers in Beijing.

Since he works for the goverment and it is somewhat concious of it's Olympiam issues. I have asked him to consider.

1. Closing all but essential government offices on Wednesday. No one will really notice and the same amount of work will get done. The upcoming online services can 24x7 a lot of govt services. The savings would be huge.

2. Charge Chinese government workers when they print a piece of paper. Government paper will cease to be perceived as free. The smart worked will stop printing completely unless they can use someone elses account. Massive tree savings there. Bigger that anything.

3. Free public mass transit and a doubled gas tax. If the Chinese every really want to be green they will recognize the folly of the independent car. Simple supply and demand.

4. Each city gets its own nuclear power plant.

Biblical scholar, House Speaker Pelosi caught making up her own scripture and using it over an extended period of time at several different events.

Biblical Scholars Challenge Pelosi's 'Scripture' Quote
By Pete Winn

Nancy Pelosi was one of the few people on the receiving line that gave
Pope Benedict the formal respect due to him (genuflect, kiss ring) but
this is another example that, to liberals, faith is one of those things
that the slackjawed yokels cling to and that they must pander to in
order to get back into the White House.

Remember Hillary Clinton a few years ago saying that the Nativity
should remind us all of how it's the government that should take the
lead in helping homeless families? Except Mary and Joseph weren't
homeless. They had a home, they were just forced by the government
to go to a different city for a census count, the kind of policy big
government liberals should just really understand-- our misguided
policies will create a crisis that we can then increase government to
address!

Very interesting proposals. 1) if they're not essential then get rid
of them permanently! There is no need to have unessential
government offices since the government just spends but does not
produce; 2) they are already paying for paper, are you suggesting
a _personal_ tariff on printing? Since when have people had to pay
out of their pocket to do their own job?; and 3) social engineering
never works. If anyone anywhere really wants to be serious they
will recognize the folly of having the government impose policies for
our own benefit.

No Country For Old Men is the best portrayal of Islamic Terrorism ever.
I have been posting my analysis of it on Rottentomatoes. A lot of the useful idiots are obviously up in arms that any Hollywood movie could have a negative Islamic Terrorism focus, even if done metaphorically. The useful idiots expect the media to gush over Islamism.
