Clarification: Michelle Obama's Terrorist Fundraiser 'Friend'

Fri, Apr 25, 2008 at 5:01:50 pm PDT

There have been some questions about a statement I made in my earlier post about the page at the official Obama web site belonging to Hatem El-Hady (a former head of the Hamas-connected Kindhearts Islamic charity), with Michelle Obama listed as his friend. Remember the page that vanished down the memory hole this afternoon?

Some people have suggested that I was incorrect when I said:

Note: when someone is listed as a “friend,” it means they specifically chose it. In other words, Michelle Obama’s name isn’t there because El-Hady put it there — it’s there because she chose to be listed as his friend.

This is the way most social networking systems implement a “friends” feature, and it’s the most logical way to do it. So I was pretty confident it was right.

But just to be 100% sure, I registered an account at my.barackobama.com to see how the system worked. And imagine my surprise to discover that I wasn’t wrong. Heh.

At the Obama site, you invite people to be your “friend” by entering their address into a form. The person who receives the invitation then chooses to accept or reject the invitation. If they accept, they’re listed on your page.

This means that Michelle Obama agreed to have her name listed on Hatem El-Hady’s now-vanished web page, unless she has a secretary who makes decisions like that for her—which I doubt.

And please note: this also implies that Michelle Obama knew Hatem El-Hady.

For something like this, it strains credibility that a low-level secretary would handle something like this. It would imply a level of incompetence that would disqualify one from being anywhere near the oval office

They will say it's a staffer. When the questionnaire detailing Barack's extreme views on guns and other issues came out, he said a staffer filled it out even with his handwriting on it.

And the press bought it. Why wouldn't they buy that a staffer was in charge of the networking site?

How many hate monger friends do Barrack and Michelle have to have before the MSM gets a clue and calls them on it? The list literally grows every week.

And with friends like Mr. Wright, who keeps his mouth running full time on TV, Obama has got to be wondering how many more will begin to make a fool of him.

Oh, and the notion that Michelle Obama has a doppleganger on the Obama campaign website is a stretch.

I can trace my christian heritage to the pastor of one the early Protestant Churches in Kent England. I am the first male in several generations not a minister. My heritage, and where I currently attend politics is off the table.

A person in correct spiritual state will make political decisions according to God's will.

Politics need not be preached from the pulpit. We do pray for ALL of leaders, that they be guided, we don't even pray for a specific conclusion, other than God's will.

Christians 'should wear veil'

OUTSPOKEN Muslim cleric Taj Din al-Hilali says the Bible "mandates" the wearing of the veil by Christian women.

Writing in a new book, Sheik Hilali, who lost his job as mufti of Australia after comparing scantily clad women to uncovered meat, argues that the Bible and the Koran make similar demands of a woman's modesty.

Ah, a good opt-in model. Right.

This would be the same bunch that apparently had Obama's pages redirect to Hillary's website?

Some supporters who tried to visit the community blogs section of Obama's site started noticing late last week they were being redirected to Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton's official campaign site.

Security researchers said a hacker exploited a so-called "cross-site scripting" vulnerability in Obama's website to engineer the ruse.

Netcraft Ltd. said the hacker injected code into certain pages in the section - code that was then executed when subsequent visitors tried to view the community blogs section. The vulnerability has since been fixed.

While the hack appears to have been a prank, researchers said the breach underscored that candidates risk exposing their supporters to computer viruses and identity theft if they don't secure their websites. For instance, a similar mechanism could be employed to redirect campaign site users to a site that steals personal information from visitors.

Hatem is the anglicized version of the Arabic word for seal, signet ring, stamp- (Khhtim).

149 Mr Spiffy  Fri, Apr 25, 2008 6:00:24pm

At the Obama site, you invite people to be your “friend,” by entering their address into a form.

Mr Spiffy rises from his wing-backed over-stuffed chair, "I say, Home slice. Were you able to deduce all of that from the way Mrs. O**** walked up the stairs to you rooms?"

"Not at all my good Spiffy. They articulate their desires every day"
He looked at Spiffy and said,"One needn't be a Sherlock Holmes to figure that out"

I suppose anything's possible. But, the bHo site has had previous problems with members who caused some embarrassment. They would have to be very foolish to simply accept everyone. If I went over there and authored a page titled "Stalin was my best friend" do you suppose M.O. would click to accept me as her friend? And, I'd have to know her email address.

There ya go - that's "church" the way it was meant.

I was befuddled a number of years ago when I came back to the US for a Christmas break (as a missionary in Thailand) and the ladies' group was proposing picketing at the local theater for showing the Harry Potter movie. After listening to their claims of how evil it is, I innocently asked, "How about going down to Nashville and taking blankets and cups of hot soup to the folks who are living under the bridge?" I got no response other than how evil magic is.

The same number as the number of women that Bill Clinton had to molest, assault and sc---." It will never happen. Because once they admit that number 10 is over the line - they'd essentially be admitting that they were wrong the whole time. The narcissism of the press means they can't bring themselves to do it.

Michelle Obama's complete absence of warmth and lack of self-deprecating humor are also big red flags for a toxic personality.

I read a book a number of years ago written by Colonel Donner, who was right there on the front lines of the beginning of the religious right back in the late 1970's. But he broke from them when they became so totally focussed on abortion and not enough of what he saw was the real calling of the American church - showing compassion and helping the poorest of the poor so that they could eventually help themselves.

Al Gore gets no respect:

Since the Civil War only four Democrats -- Jimmy Carter, Lyndon Johnson, Franklin Roosevelt and Samuel Tilden -- have won a majority of the popular vote. (Tilden in 1876, lost the Electoral College vote and never became president.)
It has been 32 years since a Democrat won a majority of the popular vote. The last to do so was Carter, who won a whopping 50.1 percent of the votes in 1976. He defeated Republican incumbent Gerald Ford, the man who pardoned Richard Nixon and carried the burden of Watergate and the Vietnam War into the election. [Link: www.charlotte.com...]

When somebody takes Rush's comments like the "phony soldiers" comment and twists it from being about the likes of Jesse whatshisname and/or Scott Beuchamp to being about any soldier who criticizes the war -- That's taking things out of context.

When somebody finds example after example of hate speech and black separatist speech in the sermons of the Pastor of a church to which a leading candidate for president belonged. Statements that are not repudiated by said Pastor and can in no way be found to be about anything other than hating whitey and hating Amerikkka, that's not taking something out of context -- that's presenting the position statements and worldview of said Pastor.

This is the same thing I said about the fact that anybody can create an account and consequently a blog at my.barackobama.com, and how it does nobody any good to make baseless claims such as, "Oh, if it's on Obama's site, he must condone it!" when in fact LFG itself has been trashed numerous times undeservedly by left-wing blogs for the same kind of radical commentary here, despite the fact that it had nothing to do with Charles. I found it plainly hypocritical (despite whatever claims you want to make about the differences in the expediency of moderation at the respective sites) for us to then condemn a political opponent for what someone writes on their website without their knowledge. For that I got flamed innumerable times and think I was at least -20 in post ratings.

But yet again, I think it's clear that some sort of bizzarre political blood lust has taken hold and has been guiding the discourse here over the past few months. And I'm sad to see LGF joining into the guilt-by-association 'gotcha' game the left is so good at. Perhaps it would be best to actually focus on real issues from now on, rather than who does what on whose website, lest we shoot ourselves in the foot again.

If all we as Republicans (assuming you are one) can do to confront the Democrats on the fundamental issues this country faces is to find befriended user pages on their websites and yell "Lookie!", the Republicans will not and probably should not win in November.

I'd much prefer a Republican party of solutions and ideas rather than this type of nonsense. That's why McCain is at least smart enough to debate Obama on the issues and not on what his Pastor said in a sermon.

If you are going to play the guilt-by-association game, you're going to have to run the same kind of pieces on McCain's associations with people like John Hagee, who I'm sure you are well familiar with.

So many problems, so little time. First: it is NOT guilt by association when one questions Obama's association with "Pastor" Wright. This is because, by Obama's and Wright's own admissions, Obama has been a member of Wright's congregation for nigh 20 years now. And these aren't just isolated quotes that are disturbing - it is Wright's entire philosophy (though some call it theology). Wright's very beliefs, is "interpretation" of Christianity is racist and classist. He makes comments about "declaring war on the health care system that leaves poor people behind" and on a failed education system. It is an inherently political philosophy that masquerades as a theology - and this is the church Obama chose to attend for 20 years.

Not only that, but the first speech write gave that so inspired Obama, according to Obama's own memoirs (he has TWO already?) was inherently racist, as the sermon blamed whites for all of the poverty and need in the world ("a white man's greed that creates a world in need," or words to that effect).

There are two options here: either Obama believes this stuff, or he staid in the church to get street cred. Either way, I think it is very telling. Add that up with Obama's consistent, and radical, leftist positions and voting record, and I think he is incredibly frightening. If a racist (or racially cynical), marxist is someone you'd rather have in the White House than McCain because there are some things wrong with McCain's positions (I don't think the potential judicial nominees is one of them. Making unwarranted compromises as a Senator is one thing, choosing the candidates is another), or some of them, is inane, to say the least.

Hillary, we know, is a proven liar and sketchy, at best. Obama, to be honest, actually frightens me more. He doesn't even have the good sense to try to *act* centrist. Great speaker my arse. He doesn't even know how to play the game. Why the hell would you want THAT guy instead of McCain? Except out of a "I'm not getting exactly what I want, so I'm taking my ball and going home" mentality.

the sinner,

Charles

If you are going to play the guilt-by-association game, you're going to have to run the same kind of pieces on McCain's associations with people ....

Such as Charles Riegle, Dennis DeConcini, Alan Cranston & John Glenn?

But intellectual Republicans can rest assured that, as POTUS, McCain will continue to effect solutions based upon ideas such as what brought about McCain-Feingold and McCain-Kennedy, to name but two.

Then, there's his full embrace of al-Gore's 'global warming' hoax.

John McCain, the Left's best choice for 'conservative' leadership. Maybe he'll tap Bernie Sanders to be his running mate.

Or, Jean-Pierre.

248 RadicalRon  Sat, Apr 26, 2008 3:56:18am

To conclude my thought (a bit of transient dyslexia with preview/post buttons ;-), McCain leaves much to be desired. But for the post-Modern Bolshevik Revolution, we could write-off this cycle and do a bit of rebuilding.

But, unless there's a massive trainwreck, McCain will be sworn in next year. He'll be better than the Contessa, but by how much?

This means that Michelle Obama agreed to have her name listed on Hatem El-Hady’s now-vanished web page, unless she has a secretary who makes decisions like that for her—which I doubt.
And please note: this also implies that Michelle Obama knew Hatem El-Hady

Can we modify that to "knows" and "approves" of Hatem El Hady?

People can make mistakes with friends and aquaintances whom they shared company with, but if after a while they find out they are something else and disassociate themselves, and don't look back, we say, okay, live and learn.
But what's going on with the Obamas and their radical buddies is different. Obama's responses about Ayers were a dodge - "I was eight years old ..." Yeah, no one argues with THAT, but that wasn't the correct answer to "Why are you associating yourself with him NOW, when he is still an unrepentent anarchist radical not sidelined - sitting in his barca-lounger clacking his dentures and blah-blabbing all day for any random drop-in visitor - but active on boards and organizations that don't like one bit the USA of A in its free-market republic governance state of being? Obama's a lawyer by training, his reply was not spontaneous, his parsing was very deliberate - he didn't answer the question - he replied with a non sequitur question. He didn't lie, but only because he didn't answer the question put to him.
Michelle Obama is campaigning so that she can become First Lady. She should have been appalled her name showed up on as a "friend" of Hatem. Yank it and scream bloody murder, whatever necessary to broadcast she wants nothing to do with him. But that's not what happened. A silent vanishing act instead.
But evidently, she's got a problem, obviously SOME people would LOVE to have the Obama's associated with the likes of Hatem, so for SOME people that's a big plus. For the rest, it's a collossal negative, and a warning of extreme danger ahead. Guess they are very used to posting all sorts of stuff in plain view, because few outside the Black Liberation Theology and NOI heard about it or thought it was relevent. It is now. They are moving to make the jump to national power levers. It's very very relevent now.
Any decent secretary has the bosses' best interests at heart and if Michelle's name showed up on a site a hypothetical secretary or assistant knew would be detrimental, thus would advise it never be put on it, or get it hauled off ASAP, whatever. But if Obama's staff prefectly reflects her, then ... well. Given the base bile and bigotry the Obamas soothingly to deliver in polished, perfect and highly educated accents, then any employee of decency and fair-mindedness would leave soon after finding out what kind of people they really are. Therefore, they all approve, but are a bit slow to realize they have moved beyond their echo-chamber. They'll fix that soon enough.

1) I've read LGF since 2003 but never registered because of sheer lack of time. Yet, I have read and continue to read it most every day and have commented positively on numerous topics here. On most topics posted here, I agree fully.

2) That being said, I find it funny (and telling) how anytime someone expresses a point-of-view even slightly different from the masses here, they are attacked personally and dismissed as a "nitpicking troll" or someone who is "shilling for Obama." And of course, the mandatory "grow up" comment must also be served.

3) I do not support Obama. I've been a conservative and registered Republican since age 18. But apparently you've decided that because I don't find anything worthwhile in attacking someone for who posts what on their website, I must be a closet Obama-loving CAIR-supporting liberal shill. It's like rabid McCarthyistic idiocy all over again.

4) To Charles: I never once said I "despised" McCain, so I think you're clearly misconstruing my words. This was pre-Super Tuesday and I stated that I'd be voting for Romney. I said McCain was a "misrepresentation" of the Republican party and that I was "not sure" whether I'd support him as the Republican nominee. That's much different than saying I "despised" him.

A President McCain would destroy the Republican party. I will vote for Romney. If McCain is the nominee, I still am not sure whether I'd support him. I think it'd be better to have a Democratic president that can cause the Republicans to unite (ex. the Republican Revolution of '94) than a misrepresentation of the party in a leader like John McCain, who would basically ruin it.
