Spurlock's CAIR-Free Movie

Sat, Apr 26, 2008 at 11:52:43 am PDT

It’s amazing what leftist filmmakers can get away with: Morgan Spurlock: CAIR Free.

CAIR is fine with this:

A lot of people will love this film and really lap it up because it will reinforce and bolster their pre-existing hatred for Jews and America. It's a despicable piece of garbage and propaganda for the Michael Moore/Chomsky brigade who can only see what they believe. To sit in a cinema with such a braindead gormless audience is worse than painful as the preaching is done to the converted. But the worse thing is that this film will brainwash and convert more youth....you know, the ones wearing trendy keffiyehs.....into hatred of Israel and their own culture. This guy Spurlock is a criminal....treasonous and seditious....and someone should put him back in the paddock. Debbie Schlussel has a great review of this poison over at her site.

20 Mr. E. Train  Sat, Apr 26, 2008 12:07:45pm

Personally I hope he finds old Osama. Track the one to find and kill the other. Of course Osama is likely to shoot Spurlock, but tis a fine thing to give your life for you country.

Some of Morgan Spurlock's other work:
(wiki)

"He also created I Bet You Will for MTV. I Bet You Will began as a popular Internet webcast of five-minute episodes featuring ordinary people doing disgusting, unusual, or embarrassing stunts in exchange for money. Examples include eating a full jar of mayo ($235USD), eating a "worm burrito" ($265USD), and taking shots of corn oil, Pepto-Bismol, lemon juice, hot sauce, cold chicken broth, and cod liver oil ($450USD for all nine shots). The webcast was a success, with over a million hits in the first five days. The show was later bought and aired by MTV"

I thought Osama was running for President of USA?

Wait...

32 Sharmuta  Sat, Apr 26, 2008 12:22:26pm

More on the movie:

Since Spurlock wants to face danger head-on, he undergoes training to work in a hostile environment and obtains clearance from his pregnant wife to travel everywhere except in Iraq.

He goes to Egypt, Morocco, the Palestinian territories and Israel, where he is attacked by a group of ultra-Orthodox Jews. He visits bin Laden's homeland, Saudi Arabia, and asks shoppers in a luxurious mall if they know where he is.

Spurlock accompanies U.S. forces fighting the Taliban in Afghanistan and talks with locals who say they just want an end to war. In the end, he goes to Pakistan, where he is stopped in his tracks by growing violence in the tribal regions.

Spurlock said he hopes audiences will see that people in the Middle East and Muslims share many of the same values as Westerners, a desire for democracy and better lives for their children.

"We do kind of live in our own world and don't look beyond our own borders," said Spurlock. "I think the greatest thing that could happen is that we embrace the idea of a world community a little bit more."

Dhimmi has a new name, and it's Morgan Spurlock.

Also, Morgan Spurlock and Micheal Moore make movies for stupid people to crow about how smart they are....

Actually, I think it was Soso Whaley, who went on a McDonald's-only diet for a month and lost weight. The difference being she tried everything on the menu and exercised for an hour three times a week, rather than choosing only the fattiest, highest-calorie items and be a couch potato. In other words, showing that Spurlock was intentionally misleading the viewer. And, naturally, spawning a whole new, and potentially huge income stream for tort lawyers.

Or, most probably, I was conflating the two of them.

Speaking of food, Venezuela's supplies are getting scarcer.

"Food shortages do, however, remain a key problem for Venezuelan consumers. According to a survey carried out by the newspaper El Nuevo Herald, 73% of respondents admitted having difficulties finding sugar, 52% had problems finding beef, and more than 45% were unable to find powdered milk and chicken."

Ya know, funny things happen when you're socialists... Of course its not their fault. When I lived in Chile, a place that is an absolute bread basket with the riches of the oceans at the feet, they told me of food rationing under Allende. They would divide towns and cities into seven parts and each house in each part would get a chicken once a week. As children they would get up at 3 and 4 in the morning to stand in line for hours to get a litre of cooking oil.

Socialism never works, and it only harms. When will these damn fools learn?

They won't - because it is never about meeting the needs of "the people", but satisfying the desire for "revenge" against those they percieve as having "wronged" them... basically anyone has as one dollar more than they do.

Obama has freely admitted as much when he argued for increasing capital gains taxes. He claimed it was about "fairness" rather than increasing revenues to the Treasury to pay for his lofty spending proposals.

Not true=--McDonalds franchises overseas sell local favorites, like BEER! So you can have your American burger & eat it too, with foreign local accent...

Do they put beets on the Mickey D's burgers in Australia? My sister had one that way at a Hungry Jack's (aka Burger King).

Surprise surprise,

Obama supporter (and ex-Clintonista, also-ran) Bill Richardson's going to see terrorist Hugo Chavez! (FOX news reported) Ostensibly about releasing American hostages. Why does a terrorist prefer to discuss these things with democrats & Obama supporters?

Hugo's just one more terrorist supporter of Obama's campaign!
(Was it the Clintons who spoke with FARC terrorists, or was that Obama's people putting out feelers to anti-Colombian terrorists recently caught flat footed in neighboring leftist Ecuador?)

Well, I hope that Spurlock finds him. But I think that I can guess the end of the film already: he probably concludes that there's no such person as OBL - that he's a puppet a la Balok. Only he's being controlled by the evil American hegemony. Or something.

I have a friend in Britain who, not long after 9-11 voiced that as a conjecture. He's since wised up.

7-7 was a wakeup call for him.

Liberals hate people who bring you food, fuel and medicine and love people who want to murder you. They are anti-human.

Why stop there? The true triumph of the Left was the French Revolution. That was the real birth of the entire idea. The Left still gets giddy over it. Read what they post in their letters, editorials, comment sections. It is all about rounding up the ruling class and walking them to the gallows.

Indeed.
Even better example: Great Britain under Nulabour ...
And who is now employed by JP Morgan? The 'socialist' Tony Bliar.

But will people ever larn?

Only a little off topic, today I saw a bumper sticker on a liberal's car that really summed it up:

"Bring about word peace through good intentions"

It even sounded like a sarcastic joke but all the other bumper stickers were typical lib drool-think as well. That just about sums up the liberal's plan for the world. If we're nice, everything will be wonderful.

Un-be-effin-leavable.

To me, that bumper sticker reads: "Bring about world peace by going to hell".

Its exactly the same thing.

Whenever I point out to "progressives" that Saddam was the pre-eminent Islamic terrorist in human history it sends them into histrionics. "No he wasn't! He didn't even live in a cave!"

Oh, I don't have any problem with the bumpersticker. Of course, I think that sometimes "good intentions" means things like "I intend to accurately target this bunker-buster..." or "I intend to shoot this jihadi while missing the hostage he's holding."

That's liberals for ya. The solution(s) to world problems all wrapped up neatly in a bumper sticker on a car. Of course, they think that if only WESTERN civilized peoples were 'nice', that barbarians wouldn't want to kill people, especially innocent men, women and children.

Liberals tend to be incredibly naive in their world view.

I think the chopper on the left side of the poster is a Hind gunship. Soviet-era cum Russian...

I had no idea when Democrats said our troops weren't getting the stuff they needed that meant flying Russian attack choppers.

Someone correct me. That can't be a Hind, can it?

Yup, it's a Hind. I imagine the Afghan Air Force if there is such a thing, may have a few.

The Poles are flying Hinds on Coalition missions in Iraq. There are some videos of US troops riding in Polish Hinds on YouTube but I don't have the link handy.

Looks like a Blackhawk on the right side but it's hard to tell with all the camel dust.

re: #183 Colonel Panik

This from a globalsecurity.org report:

Most aircraft still remaining by 2001 were destroyed by coalition forces in Operation Enduring Freedom. Currently, what is left of the Afghan air force is a few dozen pilots, most of whom had not flown since 1996, occupying a part of Bagram Air Base near Kabul. While the United States has said that it intended to rebuild the air force and various other states have made offers to donate equipment, no material aid had arrived by 2005. At that time essentially all air operations in Afghanistan were conducted by US and other allied aircraft.

The AAF was in a very poor state as of late 2004. They lack airworthy combat planes and possess only a few attack helicopters. Airlift capabilities are very modest, with maybe 10 utility and attack helicopters and a few light transport planes at their disposal. Maintenance technicians were being trained, but no pilots. The AAF relies on the vast pool of pilots who were trained during the communist period. More than 450 enlisted with the AAF, but the majority of this serviceman have logged very few flying hours since 1990.

So I guess I have to eat crow, there MIGHT be one or two Hind gunships still being operated by the Afghans...

Still, it looks stupid...wonder who did the graphics.

Or that green stuff. Not a pretty sight. There's a wonderful website that tracks global terrorism events. Ask your friends (like I do) which one of these countries we're in killing innocent men, women and children on purpose for a religious kill thrill.

Spurlock is a runt , a homunculus, a little man. He is also an active and willing collaborator with the enemy. A kumbaya nitwit. He does not deserve the freedom given to him in America to make such pestilential drivel. He does not deserve the air he breathes. Sadly, this film will go down a treat over here in Europe....I wince at the thought of how it will shape young minds...the MTV suckers who love this guy, think he's cool and on the ball. 191 Kulhwch  Sat, Apr 26, 2008 3:57:26pm

What makes you think its gonna end? Michael Moore is still hanging around and his movies are probably as if not more egregious.

It's the only possible good result of a democrat winning the election. Just like the media never mentioned homelessness during the Clinton administration, once a dem is in the oval office it's all rainbows and puppies, and Spurlock and Moore will retreat into obscurity.

And Margaret Cho and Janeane Garofalo might start being funny again.

/still not worth voting for a dem.

It was only when NY Slimes printed his "manifesto" that his BROTHER recognized his rambling style and clued in the authorities did they finally track him down! So we are supposed to find osama in a mountainous region where nobody will talk? I don't think so! Hey, so we got Hussein and sons in Iraq and what do the libs do? They just blow that accomplishment off! No Kudos anymore if ever (just what took ya so long?) So lets stop dancing to their tune- they are NUTZ!

203 blangwort  Sun, Apr 27, 2008 6:40:06am

Y'know, he has a right to make such movies. He has the right to be as obnoxious as he feels like being.

However, we have the right to ignore it. Don't bother seeing it. The one thing that will put a stop to this BS is when he can't recoup his production costs because nobody will bother watching this tripe on the screen. We've seen this before. It works.
