Thanks, Charles, but... the only track that's playing in it's entirety is the Keith Jarrett.

#5 Crepuscular Prick 4/26/08 1:45:21 pm 0

Music to enjoy while watching the deconstruction of Slick Willy.

#6 Shug 4/26/08 1:45:51 pm 0

Music so mellow, you lose track of time

#20 Charles 4/26/08 1:49:17 pm 0

Reload and the playlist is there.

Imeem is frustrating because you can't tell which songs will only play 30 second excerpts until you actually embed the playlist in your blog.

#21 Shug 4/26/08 1:49:34 pm 1

The Pope's presence at National Stadium was supposed to elevate the Nationals.

#35 Shug 4/26/08 1:56:12 pm 0

The Little time paradox reminds me of the 2003 World Series.

I was flying nonstop from Hong Kong to Newark, and I was watching game 6 the world series at the airport in Hong Kong.
The Giants were beating the angels like 5-0 in the6th inning or so and if they won , they were going to win the series.

I boarded my flight, and when I got to newark I asked the guy what was the final score in the baseball game.......and he says, they haven't started yet

Anaheim came back and won game 6, and they were just about to start game 7.

I lost an entire day.

Crazy

#36 Psaturn 4/26/08 1:56:27 pm 0

That's great news. I remember Durban I was days before September 11, 2001 and Condoleeza Rice and our country and our ally the democracy of Israel were disgracefully abused by those race/religion baiting haters with too much treasure & time on their bloody hands.

Did you see where Obama's going on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace-- because that's where the bitter po' folks are!

Did you see Obama wore a US Marine Corps t-shirt while playing basketball somewhere? Give me a break, Hawaiian Harvard elitist! How about wearing some Aloha floral shorts while surfing, that would be more authentic.

McCain wore his NAVY baseball cap because he IS or was Navy.

Phony elitist.

#51 Thanos 4/26/08 2:16:23 pm 1

You know Charles, Imeem is weird. I had the full version of three Chet Atkins songs playing full length at one time. Then one by one they cut down to 30 seconds as they played more. I think they have some kind of "play counter" that after x plays it cuts the song down to 30 seconds.

Mongo not know how dey do it.

#52 Sharmuta 4/26/08 2:16:59 pm 0

Thanks, Geepers.

Here's one from John Mayer- for all the Daughters out there.

Yes, they seem to have some kind of bandwidth-throttling system. I'm probably not going to post too many more of these, because it's too much hassle to find tracks that will play full-length.

Charles, I like Marc Ribot's work with Tom Waits. His "Cuban" stuff is fun, too.

Ploome! What's cookin'?

#70 rawmuse 4/26/08 2:32:42 pm 0

Tom Waits is to music what Dada was to Art. At once, he is repulsive, yet irresistible. It took me a long time to appreciate him. Whenever I feel like I need a dose of pure pathos, I put on some Tom, maybe "Hang on St. Christopher" or "Down in the Hole".

#71 ploome hineni 4/26/08 2:33:04 pm 0

need a margarita

#72 godfrey 4/26/08 2:34:12 pm 0

'Tis the estación. Me, I drinks the ice-cold gin.

#73 ariana 4/26/08 2:35:13 pm 0

nice, who is the sax player?

#74 Killgore Trout 4/26/08 2:36:04 pm 0

Love the Tom Waits.

#75 ploome hineni 4/26/08 2:36:13 pm 0

I drink vdka with margarita mix and

peppermint lieaves from my garden

all I now need, is a ice crusher that can make that snow texture from cubes

#76 ploome hineni 4/26/08 2:36:54 pm 0

what did you plant on the back acres?

#77 godfrey 4/26/08 2:38:15 pm 0

I kinda like Waits' sentimental songs: "You're Innocent When You Dream," "Johnsburg, Illinois," etc., all sung in the voice of a diseased wino. Really solid music skills, though.

#78 Charles 4/26/08 2:38:32 pm 1

"Frank settled down out in the valley, and he hung his wild years on a nail that he drove through his wife's forehead."

One of the greatest weird opening lines in contemporary music.

#79 godfrey 4/26/08 2:39:09 pm 0

re: #75 ploome hineni

An ice crusher like that would mean I'd be drunk all summer.

#80 Charles 4/26/08 2:39:18 pm 0

re: #73 ariana

nice, who is the sax player?

That's Jan Garbarek.

#81 Thanos 4/26/08 2:39:32 pm 0

I'm very pleased with myself today. I got the new shower enclosure done and it doesn't leak. I got the lawn mowed, the car washed, the shopping done, and I have the cedar planks soaking for the salmon this evening.

My puppy is starting to feel more chipper after her surgery (spay) and even wanted to play keep away with a stick earlier.

Do you?

Me, I need a tall glass of cool water; I hate vacuuming, dusting, washing dishes and otherwise cleaning house.

It gets worse, too: I still have to go to the store.

#85 rawmuse 4/26/08 2:42:34 pm 0

I'm off to a gig. Any chance I get to turn playing the bass in to $, I take it. No tux. Food. Money. Possible adoration from the public. Or scorn. We shall see.
Later, Lizards!

#86 Maximu§ 4/26/08 2:42:46 pm 0

re: #80 Charles

That's Jan Garbarek.

I think she born in Norway..

#87 godfrey 4/26/08 2:43:12 pm 0
