-Retweet'So, 4000 Rubes Are Dead'

Sun, Apr 27, 2008 at 2:48:22 pm PDT

The person who wrote this will undoubtedly thrive on the attention, but if you’d like a glimpse at the dark dead end of leftist thought, here it is: F*CK THE TROOPS.

So, 4000 rubes are dead. Cry me the Tigris. Another 30,000 have been seriously wounded. Boo f*cking hoo. They got what they asked for—and cool robotic limbs, too.

It gets worse.

UPDATE at 4/27/08 4:55:26 pm:

Beware! Just received from a reader:

Your “4000 rubes guy” is also distributing security compromising viruses. I just clicked on his donation link to see where it led, and Kaspersky on my computer sounded and set off a warning and blocked the HTML warning that it contained “Trojan-Spy.HTML.fraud.gen”.

Nature of the virus is on this site: Viruslist.com - Trojan-Spy.HTML.Fraud.gen.

Because that's what individuals with a firm grasp of reality spend their time doing. As opposed to those frivolous, wasteful things like improving their skills and education, finding a mate, contributing time to a homeless shelter, helping to build homes for the poor, or the hundreds of other ways to be a benefit to society.

81 ARCountryBoy  Sun, Apr 27, 2008 3:15:28pm

I think the heavy narcotics this guy admits to doing in 2003 have permanently fried his brain's logic board. He has the men and women who serve this country to thank for protecting his ability to spew unmitigated bitching about them ad nauseam. Let his vile rhetoric be presented in other countries and see how well his venom is tolerated. His death warrant would have already been signed, sealed, delivered and executed upon in many parts of the world.

This very well may be his views on the troops - I have no reason to doubt that it is such. However, this is also an attempt to garner attention. He's probably hoping for a guest spot on Olberman or some other pundit's show of that ilk.

I laugh at the posters and reviewers who think this is an Anti-Darwin movie. It isnt... its a movie about the fact that the elitist establishment doesnt WANT a valid discussion on how life was created, and uses their secular humanistic beleifs to 'expel' those with a differing opinion.

Remember the 'scientist' Al Gore? "The discussion of man-made global warming is over."

Science is NOT about beleif, and any and all scientists who bring their beleifs and bias into the equation, not the scientific methods are frauds and should be banned themselves.

I regret and despise the Roman Church in the Middle Ages for burning at the stake the Italian Scientist Bruno, and for putting through the inquisition Galileo... but now we have gone in higher education to the opposite extremes.

Isnt it interesting... ALL the great scientists before the 18th century were believers in a creator, but the ones at the time of Darwin going forward not only didnt beleive in a creator, but HATED anything to do with one.

How can you HATE something you dont beleive in? Wouldnt you prefer to DISPROVE something through science and logic, versus slander those that DESIRE to look at a scientific method from ALL aspects?

Is it about fact, truth, of beleif? THAT is what Ben Stein was showing us in this movie.

While the arguments might be specious, the fact that the discussion of this subject has been virtually banned form most every institution of higher learning in the U.S. should give the viewer cause for concern.

Ben Stein may be the 'Right' side to Michael Moore's 'Left'. Both have taken to the screen to get their point across to the nation. Neither has given us an unbiased view of a subject, but they are thought provoking.

No academy award winner, but it's worth a view for anyone with an open mind.

I was unfamiliar with Julius Streicher, so I checked Wiki and found this gem:

Julius Streicher was found guilty of crimes against humanity at the Nuremberg War Crimes Trial and sentenced to death on October 1, 1946. He had the lowest IQ of those Nazis on trial (106). [2]
Streicher was not a member of the military and was not part of planning the Holocaust, the invasion of Poland, or the Soviet invasion. Yet his role in inciting the extermination of Jews was significant enough, in the prosecutors' judgment, to include him in the indictment.
The hanging of Julius Streicher did not proceed as planned. The consensus among eyewitnesses is that he died by slow strangulation rather than by the quick death from spinal severing typical with the type of hanging used at Nuremberg. It is believed that the executioner intervened under the gallows to finish the execution of Streicher, who was still groaning and swinging on the rope moments after the release of the trap-door.

If we handled propagandists this way nowadays, this creep would have to watch his back. So would Pinch Sulzberger, for that matter.

I became interested in politics...as in paying attention to what they do and who they are...towards the last years of the Clinton administration. I enjoy it for the spectator value as well as understanding the ebb and flow of opposing policies. As a result, I've slowly gotten inured to such drivel as this very sad, lonely person is spouting.

That being said, as a veteran of both the Air Force and the Army and being the father of a soldier, all I can say is kiss my ass, Mr. Murphy. I suppose that's childish...and it is...but nothing else will suffice. He's either looking for attention or he really believes what he wrote. Either way, all he deserves is my contempt as well as the contempt of those who are grown up and understand life's realities.

Before you get going on this, please go immediately down to the Karzai thread where Cognito suggests that moving to the Left as a positive thing for Afghanistan.
Now Cognito's concept is evidently, Afghanistan is so backwards in governance that moving LEFT would be an improvement.
But, LEFT means socialism and communism, and our troops are working with representative goverance, individual freedoms and individual property ownership. So, moving LEFT would be in oppostition to what we are all trying to achieve there, especially since LEFT has arerady been done big time to Afghanistan thanks to the communist Soviet invasion.
Now Cognito shows up on this thread all buddy-buddy and cheerful to soothingly suggest that this ugly ranter isn't typical of the LEFT.

I'd like to believe that Cognito is NOT a State Department Foreign Service elitist Leftie hack, but ... hard to shake the impression.

..."On the advice of then-art director Josh Brown, editorial duties were turned over to Al Uthman. Uthman's fired Brown shortly afterward. Uthman continues as Editor, and has served in that role longer than any of his predecessors.

Uthman who is of Middle Eastern descent, is a vocal critic of America's foreign affairs policies in the Middle East. Following the reprinting of the controversial Danish Mohammed cartoon in a "Special Blasphemy Issue" of the Beast, he received a death threat in the form of an anonymous phone call to his elderly mother . In that particular issue, many other major religions were mocked which resulted in one business pulling an advertising at the urging of a Christian customer.[citation needed] The anti-semitic "Shylock Fox" cartoon (which featured the sleuth solving a financial mystery and fingering the guilty culprit by deducing, "Answer: Because he's a Jew!") appearing in the issue apparently caused little reaction.[citation needed]

The Beast rose to national prominence in 2005 after actor Tom Cruise threatened to sue the paper in response to the 2004 Most Loathsome People list and the story was picked up by national entertainment news programs. Seeing an opportunity for free advertising and believing that Cruise had no case, The Beast actively encouraged the lawsuit. [1] Cruise did not follow up on his threat, and a lawsuit was never filed. The controversy died down after several months.

In 2007, The Beast began national distribution. While offices are still centralized in Buffalo, it is available at select retail outlets throughout the country and through subscription."

That was until the past week or so.

My son is in the Australian Army and he is currently on deployment in Iraq. I can not go into his duties in great depth, but shall we say that he and his fellow army buddies are on a glorified guard duty looking after the Australian Embassy. They don't go out looking for 'action', though it is a different story in Afghanistan, there the Aussie troops chase the baddies over the hills and into the valleys..

Also see...Daily Kos: 'I Don't Support the Troops..oops, There, I Said It'

There's definitely a progression there.
2006- the Joel Stein article
2007- the Kos Kiddie diary
2008- this Beast guy's diatribe, which is by far the most vile.

This is just despicable, talking about McCain: Again, what is heroic about involving one’s self in a foolish war, being a shitty pilot or getting tortured? Yeah, it must have sucked, but getting your ass kicked every day for five years doesn’t make you a hero—it makes you a Bad News Bear.

KT, I'm still confused why the law protects those who don't respect the law. If you designate as an anarchist, why can't there be an option to actually opt out from the law. Either make yourself fair prey for anyone whose been having a bad day, or shut up.

Yeah, I know it can't be done for so many reasons, but I still fondly imagine the day I can introduce these people to the reality of anarchy.

They can spend all this time posturing because they know that it won't affect them. It's really childish--they can throw temper tantrums all they want while the adults tend to the things that actually matter.

That's because the very people he holds in such contempt are protecting his sorry ungrateful butt right now...

They're angry people. I'm not sure where it comes from, exactly. Boredom and and a sense of entitlement, maybe? It seems to me that you only see those sorts of displays in the most- and least-developed countries, where people are either full of ennui or genuine rage.

I actually have a picture of bass player Twiggy Ramirez proving he has a penis (e.g., not actually female). He has one, and it's not tiny. I won't link that pic. You're welcome.

I also found a pic of the editor, Allan Uthman (Arabic descent - not that that means anything). He's fat and has lots of hair. I can't tell if he's short from the tiny pic I found. Maybe he's camera shy.

This crap is very difficult to read and talk about, but I'm glad Charles and other conservative bloggers point out these anti-American leftist dhimmis who tacitly support the Islamic terrorists.

This is becoming more and more common on left wing blogs, and even main stream newspapers.
If this kind of Hero-hating tripew isn't the prevalent beilief of many on the left, it's damn close to it, because the lefties that don't go this far portray the Troops as "victims" or "patsy's" who are just "following orders".

They also amplify and distort anything negative that they can, such as suicides, crimes, mental illness, etc., all that is lower than the national average, but the left would have you believe it's far above the national average.

So yeah, I understand why no one wants to read these cowardly rants of intense evil, approved by Stan, but it's very important to get the word out and to demonstrate that this behavior and these viewpoints aren't isolated ravings of rare lunacy.

Why do you think the MSM refuses to show many of the signs at all these moonbat protests?
Why is it that it's almost unheard of for left wing bloggers or newspapers or mainstream news to report this kind of behavior themselves and loudly condemn it?
They MIGHT condemn it after we point it out, IF confronted, but they won't put it on their blogs with comments allowed because they know what many of those comments would be.

Clearly, the majority of the left doesn't support the Military and a significant number actually hate the Troops.
But what can we expect from those who despise the Constitution and Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness?

Thanks Charles for posting this garbage and further destroying the "I support the Troops" meme of the left!

My view is that having seen so much of this for the past 5 years, and given that there is nothing novel, insightful, meaningful, or worthwhile in what was written, it may be that the whole point of the piece was performance.

There is a lot of that going around.

315 uptight  Mon, Apr 28, 2008 3:11:22am

Is this ACTUALLY a virus? The link defines Trojan-Spy.HTML.Fraud.gen as being an emailed phishing scam.

You know the kind - you get an email supposedly from a bank. The email is in html and it sends you to a fake version of the bank's website. If you are dumb enough to log in, your details get sent to a cybercafe in Shanghai.

That doesn't seem to be the case with this. Firstly, it's a webpage rather than an email. Secondly, the page you get sent to is owned by paypal.

Strangely the "make a donation" button is actually a form rather than a normal hyperlink. Clicking on it is like clicking on a button marked "submit". The form sends a string of encrypted information - a key which tells paypal which account you want to donate to and launches its https page

Perhaps the unconventionality of this sets off the virus alarm, but it seems kosher.

re: #299 Sharmuta

Heavy narcotics... That explains that- he's brain damaged.

I suspect the damage is sitting in a more central part of the body. If you do what this individual failed to do, which is taking a close look at the wounded, you will discover what it is that he is lacking. This writer seems to be entirely unaware that not 30.000 veterans received robotic limbs, less than one third of that number had such a need, for reasons obviously invisible to his crippled imagination.

I see another aspect of this. There is a significantly large group with an interest that Presidential candidate John McCain has the best available information on pain killers. Which is, uh, not the case yet.
