Another Antisemitic Hatefest at UC Irvine

Mon, Apr 28, 2008 at 10:21:34 am PDT

Coming soon to the University of California Irvine, where an official investigation claimed there was no antisemitism among the school’s Islamic student groups: MSU ‘Anti-Israel’ Week; May 7 - May 15.

Click the picture below to see the full poster, featuring a photoshopped image of the Israeli security barrier covered in blood, and a list of scheduled speakers; an all-star cast of ranting freaks, Islamists, leftist useful idiots, and failed academics like the odious Norman Finkelstein.

One should notice however that this so-called "brutal occupation" started "60 years ago". (ie: at the creation of Israel, not the "occupation" of Yesha. (west bank and Gaza).

re: #26 Occasional Reader

Well, Holocaust and Genocide don't mean the same for them as for Jews. For us Jews, it didn't happen or not that many Jews died or we caused it. For Muslims, genocide means when they do it- like in Darfur or when they actually have higher birth rates and more people alive -mostly it means, they can't get the really good flat screen TVs or as much welfare flour as they want.

How did the refugee population come about?

Short version it's not Israel's fault, it belongs squarely on the Arabs heads.

'48 Israel is being established Britain is pulling out. The surrounding Arab states promised the annihilation of Israel. Is tells the Arabs living in the Israel mandate terrorizes to stay. The Arab states tell them to evacuate they'll be home in a few days.

The Arabs lose. Now they have all these INVITED refugees on their hands. What do they do, assimilate? Say opps bad advice, we'll welcome you into our country? Nope. The Arabs FORCED them into the "refugee camps."

Now due to the Arab miscalculations of '67 and '72, the camps (now towns) are with in the spoils of war territory.

For a bunch of college professors this bunch is factually challenged.

re: #71 Quella

I thought this part of their bio (from your link) had to be repeated:

Baltzer’s presentation focuses on the daily indignities and hardships suffered by ordinary Palestinians at the hands of the Israeli military. She has several anecdotes about scenes she witnessed at Israeli checkpoints. Palestinians inhumanely forced to suffer such humiliation as waiting in lines, showing ID cards, and even being searched by soldiers. All of this to get to their jobs within the state of Israel. As inconvenient as all of this may be, Baltzer fails to comprehend that this is necessary to prevent the deaths of innocent Israeli civilians. And while Baltzer may complain that this tantamount to collective punishment for the indiscretions of a few, the sad fact remains that such steps must sometimes be taken.

Baltzer fails to mention that these checkpoints did not exist at all prior to the outset of the Palestinian intifada. Neither does she acknowledge that there was no Israeli military occupation of the West Bank prior to the violence, and nearly all of this territory was under the direct control of the Palestinian Authority. Like so many other speakers, Baltzer presents a sad picture of suffering Palestinians, many of whom have genuine grievances, without any sort of context or background information on why the situation is currently the way it is....

*bold mine.

Its concentrating on the plight of an individual in jail, and the indignity of their loss of civil rights without explaining that they are in jail because they raped, tortured, and murdered 1000s of people, were given numerous opporunities of parol, but murdered again.

re: #11 PeaceBeUponHim

Since the 40's the population of the "Palestinians" has quadrupled. Israel must have contracted out their holocaust to FEMA.

That's the supremely ironic paradox with the 'argument' made by this 'conference'.

On the one hand, the Jooos! are trying to kill all the peace-loving, candy-sharing 'Palestinians' in a second holocaust... but are so inept at it that not only are the 'Palestinians' quadrupling their population since the 40's, the Paleos have better child and infant mortality rates than Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt or Iran.

On the other hand, though, the Jooos! are so cleverly evil that they have managed to manipulate total control of the Western nations' economies & foreign policies, all as a part of their master plan to rule the world.

Fifth graders would see the irony. I guess then we know where the attendees of this 'conference' fall on that intelligence scale.

The Muslims at this event are dark-age barbarians with a lot of oil money. The far more numerous dhimmis are whores looking for a piece of the action.

There is only one way to solve this:

Prohibit all oil imports from outside the western hemisphere and lift all restrictions on domestic production.
To keep the ticks from sucking the rest of the world dry, and to neutralize the fungibility factor, evacuate American and allied citizens from the Muslim oil states, mine the Straits of Hormuz, sink tick-owned tankers at their moorings, embargo all trade with the tick regimes (including food and medicine), expel all tick students except legitimate refugees, and freeze tick assets in this country.
Let the chips fall where they will. It is coming to this anyway.

If we can't survive on 60% of the oil, we don't deserve to survive.

Palestine supporters in the US often make two claims:

a. There were originally 800,000 Palestinians in 1948, but now the "Right of Return" belongs to ALL their descendents, which now number six million.

b. The Israelis are committing genocide against the Palestinians.

Waiiiitttt, just a minute. 800,000 > 6,000,000 = genocide?

That's one hell of a genocide -- octupling your victims' population!

In MY day, (Nixonian hruph here) when students disliked something on campus, they protested it and made people aware of it. Why aren't conservative students protesting outside these events? If they are, why aren't more protesting each time? There really needs to be a student-run conservative movement that is just as loud and effective as the left-student movement. Many of the left student groups are funded by SEIU and other Marxist groups (yes, I pay an "agency fee" to SEIU for nothing, but that's the law in CA).

161 Render  Mon, Apr 28, 2008 11:31:24am

All gasoline into the Gaza Strip come from Israel via the Nahal Oz fuel depot.

Once that fuel enters the Gaza Strip it becomes the property of Hamas.

Hamas tightly controls the distribution of that fuel. Favoring it's allies and starving its rivals within the Strip. Hamas also releases some of that fuel through it's own black market operations, at up to ten times the normal cost. Gas in the Gaza Strip is normally around the same price per gallon as it is in Israel. This gives Hamas an advantage over its rivals and an additional source of funding, by stealing from those "poor homeless refugees" of the Strip.

On April 9th four gunmen, two from Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) and two from Hamas affiliates, attacked the Nahal Oz fuel depot with mortar fire and light machine guns. A PIJ statement claimed the attackers intended to kidnap some "Jews" as trade for Palestinians held prisoner by the Israelis.

(yes, their statement said "Jews", not Israelis).

The Nahal Oz fuel depot remained closed for a week after the attack. The day it reopened Palestinian gunmen opened fire on the delivery trucks.

These attacks serve only to create artificial fuel shortages that Hamas can profit from, and no other reason.

REALITIES,
R

This has always been a difficulty with conservatives, no? We tend to have jobs.
When we're at school, we tend to study subjects like chemistry or business, instead of peace studies or sociology. Leftists looooooove activism & we don't.
Plus they have hundreds of funding organizations. Our non-profits fund scholarships and speakers, but not activism. It's been that way for a long time and probably won't change.
And when non-leftists do have a protest, the media ignores or downplays it.

It's why they always show pictures of wailing women in burkhas, or cute little Moslem girls in hijabs, with every news story out of the Middle East. Anna's just a prettier, three-dimensional version of Flat Fatima; or, putting it another way, she's a less wealthy, less royal version of Jordanian Princess Noor, another poison twinkie whom the L.A. Times periodically parades past us as some sort of prophetess on Middle-Eastern affairs. "Ooooooh, pretty Princess Noor. . . ")

(And, speaking of PR. . . what better way to make a big impression with horny, hormonal college boys, than a pretty shill?)

I worked with a liberal lesbian who wanted to be a "Professional Activist."

It boiled down to this: She wanted to be paid to bitch and moan about everything she thinks is unfair.

Problem is, such a job exists on the left.

I remember when she was complaining about how it is a social injustice that insurance companies aren't required by law to cover same sex couples the same as married couples.

I finally shut her up. I told her that, rather than spending the time and money on complaining, to MAKE an insurance company that ONLY caters to the homosexual community.

Use Capitalism to your advantage... that's why it works.

On the wikipedia page for "Palestinian", the Paleobots who created the page reckon there's over 10 million "Palestinians."

Most GOOD activism boils down to "there is a problem that we need to fix!"

The problem is generally quickly identified and fixed.

Most Activism, however, boils down to "I want more free stuff!"

Those problems seem to never go away as, like most viruses, they grow as they are fed.

221 WrathofG-d  Mon, Apr 28, 2008 12:14:56pm

I must get off the computer for a bit, but I won't to weigh in on the "why they do it" conversation.

I, for one, do not in any way doubt their commitment to "the cause". I do not believe it is for money, or for "a cute Arab boyfriend". The individuals who participate in these Hatefests do so out of a true commitment to what they consider an injustice. If you asked them, they would honestly explain to you their true desire to see a middle east peace, and "justice" to the Phakestinian people.

Their intentions are no less honest than ours. The problem (for the most part) is with their facts, and their conclusions.

I believe that the cutie capo is responding emotionally instead of intellectually..and is not paying attention to context. She is emotionally concentrating on the present condition of the Phakestinians (one that is not enjoyable, necessarily) but not the cause of this condition. It my estimation, she was a leftist to begin with, and went to Yesha to see "the truth" and was eagerly tricked into seeing the propaganda tour of the ISM. (the organization she choose to show her "the truth") She knew it was "bad" for the Phakestinians, and the ISM made sure she saw what she expected to see, and that the situation was out of context. Although I do not believe it is as bad as the propagandists make it out to be (they do have amusement parks, shopping malls, cars, food, clothing, jobs, pools, and highrise buildings in the disputed territories) I do not fool myself into thinking that they would/should enjoy the checkpoints, and other anti-terrorism measures taken by the IDF, and that their living conditions are exceptional.

As for Norman, he too believes firmly in his cause. It is just that he is a self hating, ego driven, holier-than-thou (see how he "rises above" his Judaism) half-intellect that gets a boost from his position as The "brave", "couragous", Jewish-Anti-Jew. Out of the bunch, Norman (and the Corries maybe) are the only ones that I would say might be motivated by fame, and fortune.

The Islamists also firmly believe in thier cause. That would be the cause if Islamism and the caliphate. They will "get their reward" in the afterlife. (or so they think).

I've always found it interesting that of ALL the 'refuges' on this planet, the palis are the only ones who command a U.N. department all their own.

I also have always found it interesting that while there are in fact pali 'refuge' camps located in Lebanon, Syria, Egypt and Jordan those countries NEVER assimilated these people. NEVER. Not since 1948 when these countries were responsible for starting the war and CREATING these refugees by refusing to accept the U.N. partition plan and then attacking the newly created nation of Israel.

As a side note: Israel did in fact assimilate refugees after the war.

In the meantime, the west via the U.N. continues to pay for these so called refugees who are in reality nothing more then pawns in a VERY heartless game that has been played by the arab countries since their defeat.

If the palis could ever get their heads out of their collective asses they'd finally see that their #1 enemy is NOT Israel, is NOT the Jews but their own fellow Arabs who have played them for dupes this entire time.

They are no less than the pont of the Islamci spear aimed at the ehart of the Jewish State.

As Islam is currently configured, to accept a Jewish State in Israel is to call the validty of the Koran into question, for the Koran DEMANDS that the world be conquered for Allah, and not little bits of it, even very tiny bits, be given up to nonbelievers.

In other words, it is not an Israeli-Palestinian issue, but an Israeli-Islamic issue.

And of course the University, and its HISTORY dept, will let this go forward even though it is a historiograhic farce.

Well, history is a matter of perspective these days.... fact are secondary.

Kind of akin to the "There is no actual reality, perception is reality"

No, it isn't. What is... is.

Their use of the terms "holocaust" and "never again", both coined and used to describe the tragedy of 6 million exterminated Jews at the hands of the Nazi's should not come as a surprise. Matthias Küntzel continues to provide excellent insight into this phenomenon, and the connection between Islamists and the National Socialist Nazi's.

O/T - but not

I am writing you from Israel after having an emergency meeting with former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, whom I have known since he was 26 years old. I was horrified to learn that when President Bush comes to Israel for its 60th Anniversary in May, he has made the decision to mobilize Arab nations to come for a summit on the 17th & 18th of May.

The purpose of this summit is to move forward with the Annapolis Road Map, the plan that will force Israel to give up a large percentage of Judea and Samaria, which they call occupied territories, and divide the Holy City of Jerusalem.

It is extremely humiliating to think this would be America’s way of honoring Israel’s 60th year of prophetic rebirth. Even more outrageous, I saw the document confirming that the plan is to have this finalized by November 12, 2008.

I am asking you to vote and let President Bush know that you oppose him organizing a summit to divide Jerusalem on Israel’s 60th Anniversary. He needs to hear from you loudly and clearly immediately.

Send this to all of your friends and ask them to do the same. God’s words say that I will bless them that bless thee, and curse them that curse thee.

Your Ambassador to Jerusalem,

Mike Evans

I feel a little guilty asking this question because Anna Baltzer is a pretty red herring. She diverts our attention from the real problem. The antisemites have a conference at UC Irvine and no one does anything.

What's the story on Anna Baltzer? Ever site I find describes her as Jewish including her own. Not even the cop-out born Jewish or has Jewish parents.

Has anyone asked in what way is she Jewish? Does she keep Kosher or any of the mitzvot (religious commandments)? Attend synagogue or even functions at a synagogue? Take lessons? Speak Hebrew or Yiddish or Ladino or is learning? Knit kippot? Avoid bread on Pessach - Passover? Associate even some of the time with any organization solely for Jews (I don't mean an artificial collection of people just like her for whom Judaism is only a label allowing them more effectively to attack Israel)? Visit the Jewish museum or ancient synagogues when on a trip? Buy the local Jewish newspaper in the city she lives?

In short identify with the Jewish community, in anyway? What possible evidence would you have of her being Jewish other than a genetic connection. She may be Jewish by Halacha - religious law that she totally rejects.

I'll bet she hates her father or mother or both.

re: #252 deegee

Good question, and, just for you, I went to clusty.com, and tried doing a little investigating on her. I found this site, [Link: www.cjme.or...] she claims to be Jewish American, and, in fact, the daughter of Holocaust survivors! I notice, however, that she had a speaking engagement, not at a synagogue, but at Broadway Methodist Church, back on May 4, 2006. She certainly sticks "Jewish" into every little puff-piece blurb about herself! Haven't been able to find the names of her grandparents yet.

258 TalkinKamel  Mon, Apr 28, 2008 3:40:54pm

Far as I can tell, she hangs out in Kansas City.

259 TalkinKamel  Mon, Apr 28, 2008 3:43:04pm

Go to the site I link to, hit CJME/about us, which should be at the top. Scroll down to the middle of the (very propagandistic) article, hit the highlighted name, "Anna Baltzer". You'll go to a page about her Kansas City speaking engagement, with more links at the bottom of that.

every time I hear about Rachel Corrie I think about that poem/ song Richard Cory - where the guy goes home and puts "...a bullet in his head..."

she more or less did the same - dying to protect Palestinian weapons smugglers...and she got what she deserved, IMHO.

Remember when the German Jews in the 1930's declared war on the Deutsche people and started launching rockets at them on Kristalnacht?

When they demanded a separate state and the eventual destruction of Germany?

When they sent suicide bombers into Berlin markets, attacked German children in their schools and slaughtered them, then kidnapped German soldiers, tore them to shreds, and smeared their blood on their faces?

Of course you don't.

That was the "Palestinians".

Now trying to steal the Holocaust as well as Israel.

It's not about evidence, or history; it's about Jew-hate, and the wonderful, noble, uber-victim Palestinian people, and their oppressed olive trees.

Unless we can dump our adoration of the Palestinians, our society is in big trouble.

267 UncleSam  Mon, Apr 28, 2008 9:16:13pm

The lineup for this event would have included Joseph Goebbels, if they could have resurrected his burnt corpse.

268 Edward Halper  Mon, Apr 28, 2008 10:13:50pm

Anyone know where the money for this event is coming from?

Usually, campus organizations like MSU apply for funding from the mandatory fees students pay for activities.

Since this is not a conference in any ordinary sense because it allows for only a single view, using student activities fees to support it would be inappropriate.

Who's the cute one on the bottom row of pictures? Alas, it is so tragic when the beautiful get brainwashed.

Then again, I'm speaking in my ignorance of who she is. If she is speaking at UC Irvine, it can't be good.

#272 grafted

Grafted, if you'll look over some of the comments about her on this thread, and read the article Charles links to, you'll realize she's only cute on the outside.

No, it's not good that she's speaking at UC Irvine. What's tragic about this cute/beautiful young woman is that she's being used as a shill to help brainwash others into submitting to the Islamic cause. I mean, take a look at the other guys on that panel! It's obvious they wanted a pretty face to appeal to all those hormonally charged OC surfer boys and jocks!

276 kaymad  Tue, Apr 29, 2008 8:28:52am

I know I'm late to the party, but i just have to comment on this.

What a freaking insult. Are Palestinians on a 200 calorie a day diet (if they're lucky)? Do they look like walking skeletons? Are they dressed in rags in 20 degree weather? Do they live 20 to a room with no plumbing? Does Israel go in, grab children by the hair, hold them at arms length and shoot them in the head? Do they strip men, woman and children naked, make them march in groups to a killing pit, shoot them, than bury alive the unfortunate wounded who survived? Are Palestinians beaten to death with whips, fists and clubs? Are their beards cut off taking skin with it? Are they forced to leap frog over each other amongst other acts of humiliation before they're killed? Good God I could go on.

If this is a Palestinian "holocaust"; where are the death camps, cattle cars, extreme torture and death marches, all done with glee and joy? Where? Sick freaks.

re: #7 Shiplord Kirel

Indeed.

Never forget, the anti-semitism that the nazis espoused was a product of the university and of the intellectuals thereof.

If I remember correctly, there are several good articles in the Frontpagemag archives that deal with this issue very thoroughly.
