This'll probably improve her favorability with the Kos kids.

He asked her if she feels sorry for Obama that his campaign was "hijacked by a crazy guy," and she said, well, he did renounce him.

Yes, but do you feel sorry?

Guess she thinks that with the fall of Obama she'll be our new saviorette

8 freedomplow  Wed, Apr 30, 2008 5:07:11pm

Republicans (everywhere) should run on drilling and alternative energy.
Hammer the point that there must be drilling!

Yes, but do you feel sorry?

If you answer fast enough and make it seem like you've answered the question you can get away with not answering the question.

14 Catttt  Wed, Apr 30, 2008 5:07:59pm

She looks good in pink.

15 itellu3times  Wed, Apr 30, 2008 5:08:03pm

I give her credit for going on his show.

22 Nevergiveup  Wed, Apr 30, 2008 5:08:53pm

I know we always have threads like this during debates and interviews like this, but I have no interest in seeing her or listening to her. I doubt we are going to have any Perry Mason moments or that O'Reilly will as nasty to her as she deserves. So I am watching the Yankee game and will read what you all fine people say.

23 itellu3times  Wed, Apr 30, 2008 5:08:56pm

She's slouching in her chair, he should rap her knuckles.

24 EC Marm  Wed, Apr 30, 2008 5:09:03pm

I'm been somewhat uncertain lately. My best guess is that Obama is now the weaker candidate in the general election. So I'm out of the closet and back to Hillary hatin'.

I have found this election cycle immensely entertaining, unfortunately entertainment has nothing to do with running the country in the best interests of its citizens. Hillary is doing exactly what everyone thought she would do, hanging tough, and running her opponent into the mud, along side her self. McCain could be the worlds most luckiest Republican presidential candidate in history!

Sure she did;
Many of you are well enough off that the tax cuts may have helped you. We're saying that for America to get back on track, we're probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good.

Waaaaaaay too late, but here's my report on yesterday's Daniel Pipes/Victor Davis Hanson event at UC Berkeley last night:

Pipes and VDH at Berkeley: No news is good news

Nothing happened when Daniel Pipes and Victor Davis Hanson showed up to give a talk on the UC Berkeley campus yesterday.

Nothing at all. No protests, no interruptions, no shouting, no disruptive audience members, no threats, no cries of “Racist!“, no verbal attacks on Israel — nothing.

Which — considering what happened the last time Pipes spoke at UC, in 2004 — is just about the most remarkable news to come out of the Berkeley campus in a while.

I know, ProtestShooter's report was already linked, but hey -- better late than never! And I got video! (That's what took me so long.)

Gotta give her credit for timing at least.

I disagree with most everything she says, but choosing to go onto this show less than a week b4 the Indy primaries is a masterful stroke. She knew who to pander to and when. And, (again, though I disagree) she has a handle on items economic that B. Hussein Obama does not!

I really hate to say this, and I shall have to have a drink when done posting, but I'd rather have Hillary...Universal Healh Care I can contend with...Islamofacism is another matter entirely. It's insidious. Moreso than the health care issue. Look at how she flamed out when Billyboy was in office.

I am worried that her idea of raising taxes on the rich is going to hit on something for the guilty white liberals and "rest" of the folks. I know that as a stock page from their play book, libs are always trying to make everyone feel "Common" and play to classism. Most people who might swing liberal probably do not feel rich and therefore have no problem sticking it to the rich. The ideal of the self made man has all but been lost on liberals and more to the point, they have no interest in fostering such an ideal in America. I miss that from Regan. If she was really going to take a page from Regan, I wish it was that.

One of my Useless truisms fits here: "Liberals look to the left and right and ask what can those people do for me. Conservatives look at their own two hands and as what can THESE do for me."

"The initial investigation showed they were not identified as members of the press," she said.

Nineteen Palestinians died that day after militants killed three Israeli soldiers who were on a raid into Gaza. Doctors said 24-year old Shana was killed by metal darts sprayed from a tank shell. His final moments of footage show the shell being fired by a tank around 1.5 km (1 mile) away.

His colleague Wafa Abu Mizyed was wounded by a dart.

Hello Al-Reuters! Thanks for verifying your affiliation by painting the picture that 24 "militants" were killed with one tank round when, IIRC only Shana was killed. Also, thanks for leaving out the irrelevant fact that the 'militant' technical with "TV" on the hood was behind a hedgerow and unseen by the Israeli tank.

I think the "racist" was a malingering idiot who thought that' acting like a cracker would be the easiest way to get off the ship. I've (unfortunately) met gin-u-wine racists, and they don't phrase themselves that way.

I find the day-to-day life stuff fascinating. I'm DoD, but was never in the military. And the young sailors are probably representative. Still, they all pull together and do their jobs.

325 quickjustice  Wed, Apr 30, 2008 6:11:28pm

Dick Morris has a cottage industry going attacking the Clintons. It's a symbiotic relationship. Although I dislike the Clintons, I almost pity Hillary at this point. And a physician recently noted that Bill Clinton may have suffered serious brain damage from his bypass surgery, which would explain his recent "lies" about what he said the previous day. Because of brain damage, he literally may be unable to recall anything he said the previous day.

If we have a brain-damaged former president who is being permitted to make a fool out of himself by his wife's political campaign in the most public possible way, I'd say that her revenge upon him is very public and very complete. What a foul thought! ;-(

And the unspoken premise of the Hillary campaign-- that Bill will be the one really running the country if she's elected-- is based upon a further falsehood about his current medical condition.

re: #325 quickjustice

Perhaps you have a point. Bill lied like a rug before the bypass...he jus did it better.

Why do Liberals say that when one of their own (Carter) travels to a foreign country to talk to terrorists it is opening a dialog for peace but when one of their own (Obama) travels to the FOX studio to talk to someone there,it is legitimizing the enemy? The most galling thing about the "John Adams" miniseries is the inevitable comparison between the men who launched our Revolution and later became President (Adams defended the British soldiers in the Boston Massacre; helped draft the Declaration; and helped negotiated the peace treaty with Britain), and the scurvy lot now seeking the office.

Woe, how our Presidential politics has fallen!

re: #337 Elydo

I've heard of haggis. I AM Scottish, and living here. I've never heard that particular idea before. And the actual recipe, aside from the various secret spices the traditional makers keep to themselves, are the heart, lungs and liver of a sheep, minced with oatmeal, onions, suet and seasoning, mixed with stock and boiled in the animals stomach for several hours.

I'm a very fussy eater. Offal is generally out. Burns night is one of the few nights of the year I turn vegetarian...

Had some Haggis in Edinburgh.

I figured, "when in Rome". . .what the heck.

Tasted. . .well. . .like spicy oatmeal with meat. More of an unusual combination of things you'd usually eat than some kind of bizarre concoction.

Bill Clinton was a much better liar while he was President. The brain damage has made his lies, and him, laughable and pathetic. I'm less disposed to kick the old dog when he's down.

That doesn't mean I support his wife. I think it contemptible that she's trotting him around in that condition. It further exposes her raw ambition, and lack of compassion for him, useful as he's been to her ambitions and her career. She's forcing the old dog to jump through more hoops for her, worn out, has-been, and brain-damaged as he has become. That, in itself, says a lot about who she is.
