Gibson vs. Offensive McCain Questioner

Fri, May 2, 2008 at 5:58:38 pm PDT

A classic bit of radio, as John Gibson confronts the moron from Huffington Post who asked John McCain that nasty question at a town hall meeting. Gets funnier and funnier. This is why we call them moonbats.

I listened to this interview - he seemed incoherent to me. The whole framing of the question was bizarre, having listened was to him on the air, I can see how he was involved in a relationship where his wife was verbally abusive to him. Gibson threw out a few jabs and this guy retreated to his corner, hoping the bad man would stop.

Pretty pathetic, bizarre character.

McCain just paused for a couple seconds and said the good people at this meeting don't have any respect for that kind of language, so he was going to move to the next question. Perfect answer. You could hear people in the audience gasping in disgust at the jerk when he asked the question.

Weird subtext to this story...

He took the blue collar and like totally went the wrong way with it. So he is taking my mojo and like using it for satanic forces and I just don’t like it when people are working for Satan instead of God. I don’t like that.

BARR: I was going to go back to big fat unfunny right wing show Rush Limbaugh and ah...

JOHNNY ARGENT: That’s your cute nickname for him. I like that.

BARR: He serves Satan. Um oh my God now I lost my I forgot what I was gonna say. It was something about his subject matter today was, oh, Bill Clinton and they did all the whole thing of making fun of Bill Clinton and saying how he's America’s first black President. And like there rubbing now they’re rubbing that in everybody’s face, ‘America’s first black President’ Bill Clinton like they’re using that to take Bill Clinton down. Um but the fact is a lot of people did think that way an you know a lot of people really did love Bill Clinton and still do. It’s like it’s kind of ah it’s embarrassing.

McCain's Birth Abroad Stirs Legal Debate
His Eligibility for Presidency Is Questioned
By Michael Dobbs
Washington Post Staff Writer
Friday, May 2, 2008; Page A06

Sen. John McCain, the presumptive GOP nominee, was born on a U.S. military base in the Panama Canal Zone, which was then under U.S. jurisdiction.

The Senate has unanimously declared John McCain a natural-born citizen, eligible to be president of the United States.

That is the good news for the presumptive Republican nominee, who was born nearly 72 years ago in a military hospital in the Panama Canal Zone, then under U.S. jurisdiction. The bad news is that the nonbinding Senate resolution passed Wednesday night is simply an opinion that has little bearing on an arcane constitutional debate that has preoccupied legal scholars for many weeks.

74 alegrias  Fri, May 2, 2008 6:25:41pm

Today Arianna Huffington called McCain names, but in 2000, Arianna DEFENDED John McCain in front of thousands of her crazed leftist audience members at Arianna & George Soros' alternative "Convention" in Philadelphia in August 2000--McCain left the Republican Convention to go across town to the Soros/Huffington convention, undermining his own party again to pander to leftists.

Further leftists bashing their former favorite McCain: today's WashPost re-raising the question about whether McCain CAN run for president because he was born to a military family honorably serving the USA in Panama in 1936!

75 wolfie  Fri, May 2, 2008 6:26:19pm

Taxes for you but no for me Franken....

We've covered the tax and legal compliance problems of Minnesota Democratic Senatorial candidate Al Franken over the past few weeks. First came the revelation of his failure to pay workers' compensation insurance in New York. Then came the revelation of his failure to file corporate tax returns in California. This week it was revealed that Franken owes $70,000 in back taxes in 17 states.

The numbers involved in the last incident are striking. Observers naturally want to know if Franken's tax problems result from an oversight or something more serious, and whether they are confined to the period acknowledged so far (2003-2006). Franken has refused to release his tax returns and filed for an extension on his 2007 return.

No one who is a real, true minister or pastor identifies themselves as a "licensed" one. "Ordained", if asked about their level of authority. But not "licensed".

Yeah, some minister. First asking McCain about the c*** comment, then calling John Gibson a dick. His spirituality is certainly one to strive after.

January 27, 2004 -- EXETER, N.H. Wise-cracking funnyman (debatable) Al Franken yesterday body-slammed a demonstrator to the ground after the man tried to shout down Gov. Howard Dean.

Good money in that gig. Is he having to fight off the hospitals recruiting him yet? He will, oh yes he will, have to sooner or later.

Congratulations to him.

I figure next year, we will be getting hit by recruiters. But he's halfway there now. The ADN program has a lot more practical experience to go along with the degree than does the local major University with its BSN program.

And once he passes the NCLEX, he'll be a great nurse.

Thanks, guys!

Let's see, liberals are worried about McCain being a legal citizen but they are NOT worried about the many ILLEGALS we have sponging off the U.S. taxpayers. They oppose, and question, the legality of McCain running for president but support ILLEGALS breaking the laws of our nation while the taxpayers pay for the tab and call anyone who questions THEIR legality a racist or hate monger. The Liberal hypocrisy is never ending.

By the way,how can a president take the Oath of Office to uphold the Constitution and support the flow of illegal aliens into our country? It looks to me like we have been sold out by all three on this issue.

You know, I know people who are members of non-traditional religions, especially Pagan, who get a ULC ordination so that they can perform weddings and other such things one needs to be licensed clergy to do.

They still have to go through many years of training before they can call themselves priests and priestesses, and the ULC simply enables the legal formality of licensure.

Sounds like this guy got a ULC license, and probably as a joke. He seems not to take his religion very seriously if he plays these stupid games.

my very clever aunt did that to us when we were kids. we wouldn't eat our veggies but we loved pot roast. so, she would make pot roast with a massive amount of veggies and purree them into the gravy. and we love it! couldn't get enough of it. she and my uncle and pops laughed themselves silly over that for years! finally told me when i was near 30 and i told some of the others who all had kids by then. they thought it was pretty clever then too!

it really was the best gravy ever.

**Joke Break**
A redneck family from the hills was visiting the city and they were in a mall for the first time in their lives. The father and son were strolling around while the wife shopped. They were amazed by almost everything they saw, but especially by two shiny, silver walls that could move apart and then slide back together again.

The boy asked, "Paw, what's at?"

The father (never having seen an elevator) responded, "Son, I dunno. I ain't never seen anything like that in my entire life, I ain't got no idea'r what it is."

While the boy and his father were watching with amazement, a fat old lady in a wheel chair rolled up to the moving walls and pressed a button. The walls opened and the lady rolled between them into a small room.

The walls closed and the boy and his father watched the small circular number above the walls light up sequentially.

They continued to watch until it reached the last number and then the numbers began to light in the reverse order.

Then the walls opened up again and a gorgeous, voluptuous 24 year-old blonde woman stepped out.

The father, not taking his eyes off the young woman, said quietly to his son,

"Boy.................go gitcha momma..............."

It's possible he has a Baptist ministers license but isn't a pastor of the church. I was licensed through the Foursquare church but was a Music Director and not a pastor.

He said he was "licensed as a minister of the gospel" in 1980. If he's 45 now, then that would have probably put him as head of the youth group then.

I'm suspicious of his term "Licensed" at a First Baptist Church. That's probably a Southern Baptist affiliated church, and they don't commend anyone to the state licensing boards without them going through theological training, or at least they sure didn't back then. And they don't license anyone without ordaining them first. And they don't ordain teenagers.

Good one, here's mine:

A Republican limps into a tavern and takes a seat at the bar.

He's about to order his drink when he notices a fellow patron at a back booth. He ask the bartender, "Is that guy over there Jesus?".
The bartender states that, yes, He is indeed Jesus.

So the Republican orders a shot of whiskey for himself and one for Jesus.

An Independent, with a broken arm, walks in and sits at a table.

She also notices the patron in the back booth, and has it confirmed by her server that He is Jesus. She orders one martini for herself and one for Jesus.

A Democrat wearing a neck-brace strolls in and sits at a table by the door.

He orders a bottle of the most expensive liqueur they have. Upon seeing Jesus, he orders one for Jesus too. In the spirit of the moment, he also buys a round for everyone else.

When Jesus gets up to leave, He stops by the Independent and says, "I do not drink, but I thank you for your kindness".

He touches her broken arm and the bone is healed.

To the Republican, Jesus also thanks and touches his leg.
The Republican's limp was cured at that moment.

But when Jesus walked toward the front door, the Democrat jumped up and yelled...

"DON'T TOUCH ME DAMN IT! I'M ON DISABILITY!"

Reminds of some shit head I insulted when my brother & I went on a 3 day weekend down the North Carolina.

We were in a bar I used to bounce while I was stationed down there.

Golfed all day, owners real happy to see me, pitchers of beer on the house.

This guy and his woman were next to us, fighting a little, paying them no attention. They both go out, come back in a few minutes later, my brother swears her eye is starting to develop a shiner.

Now I purposely start talking to both of them, tweaking the guy.

He said something about his old woman having an attitude, etc.

I told him to stand up I wanted to see his shirt, I stood up, put my hand over half the U in the word DUCKHEAD on his chest, and told him I liked that better for him.

He left.

Regarding the First Baptist, etc. usually churches in urban areas number themselves chronologically so that the first Southern Baptist church to build in Atlanta, for example, is called FIrst Baptist. Same with Presbyterians. In a big city like Philadephia, there is a Tenth Presbyterian.

In small towns, the Second Baptist is often the mostly-black baptist church. Only with Baptists, though.

re: #364 hermeneutics

Regarding the First Baptist, etc. usually churches in urban areas number themselves chronologically so that the first Southern Baptist church to build in Atlanta, for example, is called FIrst Baptist. Same with Presbyterians. In a big city like Philadephia, there is a Tenth Presbyterian.

In small towns, the Second Baptist is often the mostly-black baptist church. Only with Baptists, though.

Well, yeah, a Second Baptist fulla Presbyterians (or even Methodists) would be confusing.

There seems to be a tendency to divide adult classes by gender or station. Recently. Thus, they'll be a womens and a mens Bib Study. Children's classes are usually mixed.

I find the increasing number of single sex classes rather interesting, sociologically. Promise Keepers, for example. Not sure what to make of it.

To be honest, as a woman, I detest women's groups. So dull. Shallow. A total waste of time. But that's just me. Obviously most women find this meaningful.

Ole and Sven were fishing on the Minnesota opener when Sven pulled out a cigar. Finding he had no matches, he asked Ole for a light. "Ya, shure, I tink I haff a lighter," he replied. Then reaching into his tackle box, he pulled out a Bic lighter 10 inches long.

"Yiminy Cricket!" exclaimed Sven, taking the huge Bic Lighter in his hands. "Vere dit yew git dat monster?""Vell," replied Ole, "I got it from my Genie. "You haff a Genie?" Sven asked. "Ya, shure. It 's right here in my tackle box," says Ole. "Could I see him?"

Ole opens his tackle box & sure enough, out pops the Genie.
Addressing the genie, Sven says, "Hey dere! I'm a good friend of your master. Vill you grant me vun vish?"

"Yes, I will," says the Genie. So Sven asks the Genie for a million bucks.

The Genie disappears back into the tackle box leaving Sven sitting there, waiting for his million bucks.

Shortly, the sky darkens and is filled with the sound of a million
ducks....flying directly overhead.

Over the roar of the million ducks Sven yells at Ole.
"Yumpin' Yimminy, I asked for a million bucks, not a million ducks!"

Ole answers, "Ya, I forgot to tell yew dat da Genie is hart of

All of a sudden they heard a big splash, looked at each other, & the priest said to the pastor... "Do you think we should just put up a sign that says 'Bridge Out' instead?"

Naming trivia:

Fifth Third's unusual name is the result of the June 1, 1908 merger of two banks, The Fifth National Bank and The Third National Bank, to become The Fifth Third National Bank of Cincinnati. Because the merger took place during a period when prohibitionist ideas were gaining popularity, it was believed that "Fifth Third" was better than "Third Fifth," which could be construed as a reference to three "fifths" of alcohol. The name went through several changes over the years, until on March 24, 1969, the name was changed to Fifth Third Bank.
