Django would be proud.

Good stuff.

I have the hardest time remembering what "crepuscular" means. I hope I've had to look it up for the last time...

5 mikeinmd  Sun, May 11, 2008 5:17:22pm

Very Impressive.

6 DesertSage  Sun, May 11, 2008 5:17:51pm

I hope this guy is no relation to Rahm Emmanuel.

7 snowcrash  Sun, May 11, 2008 5:19:22pm

Fun. His enthusiasm is contagious and he's easy on the eyes.

8 MacGregor  Sun, May 11, 2008 5:20:08pm

Within the definition are the terms matutinal (or "matinal") and vespertine, denoting active in the morning (dawn) and evening (dusk).

Thus the graphic of the mosquito.

12 WhiteRasta  Sun, May 11, 2008 5:22:32pm

Amazing, what you can do with wood and strings!

Sweet.

13 littleoldlady  Sun, May 11, 2008 5:22:36pm

That was fun! :-)

/so is this.

Whoo-hoo! Make me get up and dance! Thanks for that!

16 Freddybear  Sun, May 11, 2008 5:29:46pm

My oh my, he's just having too much fun.

17 tchad  Sun, May 11, 2008 5:30:01pm

"Guitar punisher" is right. TE uses his guitars for percussion, and they show it. Some of his guitars look like he picked them out of a dumpster. Not quite what you would expect from one of the top guitarists in the world.
I would love to see him perform live.

18 Izzy Dunne  Sun, May 11, 2008 5:30:37pm

Yet another guy who has more fingers than I do.

It's not fair...

19 mike(in)savage  Sun, May 11, 2008 5:38:34pm

Aussie, Aussie, Aussie!

Oi, Oi, Oi!

/all I've got.

20 mamashawna  Sun, May 11, 2008 5:38:58pm

WOW! that was great! If I could play HALF that good, I would be satisfied! Best mom day gift for me so far, except for The Outback later, and of course the winning lotto ticket my hubby bought!

21 USBeast  Sun, May 11, 2008 5:39:56pm

Help me oh Geeks. Everytime I click on a YouTube vid I get the following message: "We're sorry, this video is no longer available." This happens no matter what browser I use. I can get Live Leak and others but not YouTube.

Any clues?

22 Noam Sayin'  Sun, May 11, 2008 5:41:01pm

Now, that was pretty f*ckin' cool...

Is this at home or at work? If at work, your employer may have a firewall blocking YouTube.

This monday's gonna be good - We hooked a big client last week and I have a lot to finish before I get started. I'm looking at a very busy summer. =)

The music viddie made me think it was Saturday night all over again- Thanks Charles!

You Tube is under several serious lawsuits by the RIAA and others attempting to inflate the value of the intellectual content of their music. I haven't seen any good music since 1993 from RIAA. The RIAA are musically bankrupt and legally empowered by the US congress to intellectual royalties in far excess of their actual worth. This really blows chunks!

My problem is with all YouTube vids, musical or not.

re: #31 USBeast

Do you get the error on "the best video ever"?

It may be a prob on your end.

33 toddrundgren  Sun, May 11, 2008 6:06:39pm

If any of you ever get to see Tommy live, you won't believe your eyes.

Not only is he a technically amazing, but he's sooooo musical. Lastly, he's just fun to watch. The guy is funny, and absolutely loves what he does- his enthusiasm envelopes the room he works in.

34 SemperHunden  Sun, May 11, 2008 6:07:55pm

I didn't know Steve Buscemi played the guitar!

Good performance though.

I'm sure it is. That's why I hollered for Geek support. When I'm actually at YouTube and click on a vid I get the little icon going around in an endless circle but no vid. As I said I, I have no problem with LiveLeak or others.

36 MacGregor  Sun, May 11, 2008 6:12:46pm

Recent Windows Update? Particularly for a network card? That would lead to a loading problem, not an error.

Have you cleaned out caches and scanned for adware?

37 MacGregor  Sun, May 11, 2008 6:13:45pm

And installed the latest flash?

38 LeonidasOfSparta  Sun, May 11, 2008 6:17:48pm

re: #34 SemperHunden

LMAO SemperHunden, no kidding! He looks much like Steve at first glance.

Charles, wow. He's so worthy. Thank you for putting that video on here-- I'll be seeking and buying. Besides s**t-hot talent, humour, and looks.

I was reading about that thing called a wah-wah ring (?) but I don't know enough about it except that it takes the place of the pedal-- does it work with acoustic guitars? anyone know?

Good luck with it USBeast - I gotzta go make dinner for a very special mom! Thanks again for the video Charles.

Do you have any download accelerators? I've heard that they cause all kinds of problems with YouTube.

If not, perhaps you have a firewall that is blocking it.

Other than those possibilities, I don't know what else it could be.

I had to dump "Better YouTube" [a firefox add-on] because it suddenly refused to play YouTube videos! I would get the spinning dots, and they kept spinning and spinning...

If you have any video add-ons, try disabling them and reboot... it might fix the problem.

43 reno911  Sun, May 11, 2008 6:51:59pm

That was weird.

Just heard Paul Anka singing Black Hole Sun on itunes.

BINGO! And it was the Google download accelerator! Ye Olde Beastie is in full tilt boogie mode now.

Thanks, Zach.

45 USBeast  Sun, May 11, 2008 6:59:08pm

It's likely not intentional. Just chalk it up as a bug.

Possible corrections to the above: "that this was...", "the 'this' was..." or Beastie remembers PIMF.

56 least  Sun, May 11, 2008 9:21:03pm

Yet another guitar that sounds better than mine.
Where can I buy one like his. :)

57 REDSTATE  Mon, May 12, 2008 3:52:50am

I have to admit - for the first little bit, I was thinking "basic rock & roll progression. He's OK, but no big deal".

By the end of it, I was amazed. I expected him to douse that left hand in a bucket of ice water and imagined an immense cloud of steam rising from it.

Really nice choice - thanks for the post!

59 harrylook  Mon, May 12, 2008 7:05:53am

Kaddafi's been playing this "negotiator" extortion racket to finance terrorism for decades now. He's doing it in spades in Darfur as even the corrupt UN acknowledges;

True To His Terrorist Ways

...according to a January 30, 2006, U.N. Security Council report, the Libyan government continues to send weapons to Darfur in violation of the arms embargo. Libyan fighters have joined the militias. In July 2005, one faction "received 35 Land Cruiser vehicles from someone in one of the Libyan security services." As in the Philippines, so too in Sudan. Diplomatic spin might change, but Qadhafi's behavior does not.

Video footage of Kaddafi acting as honest broker.

Still very cool on Monday morn.
