Daily Kos on Jenna Bush Wedding

Mon, May 12, 2008 at 2:42:34 pm PDT

You are not going to believe this Daily Kos diary. Daily Kos: Bush Wedding Photos!

One of the sickest Daily Kos articles yet, and that’s saying something.

Why would they care? No class.

Is there nothing below Markos and his gaggle of goosestepping goons?

3 Ward Cleaver  Mon, May 12, 2008 2:44:15pm

The Kos Kidz would get married, but first states would have to make it legal to marry your right hand.

4 gop_patriot  Mon, May 12, 2008 2:44:22pm

I'm afraid to look.

5 eschew_obfuscation  Mon, May 12, 2008 2:44:51pm

And they wonder why some of us think liberals have no morals!

I'll go look later.

I did. I think I hate (yes, I said hate) Markos more because of his sheer and utter lack of taste.

When Chelsea C. gets hitched, shall we pull together a Rwanda photo montage? Hmm? Of course not. It would be dumb, and tasteless.

Most of the comments are pretty critical of the thread, so I'll at least credit them that. But that's all I'll credit them.

Absolutely. You jolly well know this is going down the memory hole once word get too widespread. The Daily Kos is about as Orwellian as it gets.

19 mean Gene  Mon, May 12, 2008 2:48:12pm

Only about 2/3rds of the comments seem to support the idea behind this juxtaposition of images.
Maybe kos is losing his touch?
OK, I only scanned a few of them, too.

20 BGOH  Mon, May 12, 2008 2:48:25pm

Wow. Just wow.

And I thought that my Kos "shock of the day" was going to remain my discovery earlier that the lunatic KosKids have invented the word "climaticide" as a more effete way of mentioning global warming and how evil and depraved mankind is at the same time.

"Climaticide"?

Well, there's always "Kosicide".

Kosicide (n): 1. To have a political campaign killed by the support of Markos Mosulitas. ex. Ned Lamont. 2. To kill any campaign with your support.

35 ModerateWolverine  Mon, May 12, 2008 2:52:38pm

The Republicans were incorrect in their treatment of Chelsey, but two wrong do not make a right.

The child did not volunteer to be POTUS, nor ask for any of the nonsense that goes along with it.

Why cannot people seperate the politics from the person, and the disagreements from the digs?

New zombietime report just uploaded moments ago:

Nakba-60 Palestinian Festival in San Francisco

Plenty of outrage-inducing photos this time around!

I'll also be adding a couple of short videos in an hour or two.

The Palestinian community of the Bay Area "celebrated" Israel's 60th anniversary on May 10 by holding the "Nakba-60" festival, which mourned the creation of Israel as a "catastrophe" and called for the creation of a unified Palestinian state where Israel now stands -- in other words, demanding an end to Israel's existence. About 600 people attended the event in San Francisco's Civic Center Park.
42 Kragar (Proud to be Kafir)  Mon, May 12, 2008 2:54:47pm

43 Mich-again  Mon, May 12, 2008 2:55:20pm

If those pictures were of shot-up terrorists, the KosKids would call it a violation of the Geneva Convention. But hey, if its anti-Bush propaganda, anything goes.

44 maddogg  Mon, May 12, 2008 2:55:25pm

This is good. With every diary posted on Kos like this, they force the sane portion of the country to distance themselves from the rabid loons at Kos, and themselves further into irrelevancy.

I feel my IQ drop when I click on a Daily Kos link. So I don't. Having said that...I'm sure the article was a perfect example of what class is (GWB) and what class isn't (DK), (and that's putting it lightly). I really abhor the Left if for no other reason, their rudeness.

President Bush and his family are a serious class act, all the way around. Bush's new son-in-law is a lucky man, indeed. I wish the new couple all the best.

65 dmh0667  Mon, May 12, 2008 3:02:19pm

They are actually in the majority, the ones calling this tasteless.

Maybe those are the DKosKids turning 30 this year, or maybe getting a non-academia job, or moving out of their parents' home, or...

Or maybe they've gotten the idea that it's better to be an adult?

66 offendi  Mon, May 12, 2008 3:04:04pm

While most people understand that Kos is totally irrelevant to election results, the poor, addled, whoring-for-votes democrats must bend over backwards to avoid offending this tool. Their bad, and he is their problem, no one elses.

67 Dahveed  Mon, May 12, 2008 3:04:17pm

I hope Jenna has a long and happy marriage.

The Daily Kos is absolutely disgusting. At some point I would like to think that this will make its way into the MSM so those in the middle know who they are siding with politically. Certainly, the right can act inappropriately. But the level of vitriol on the left is unmatched. This goes beyond the passions of politics. The person that posted the diary (and those that support it) needs to seek some serious professional help. The actions do not reflect normal, decent behavior. But, I guess that is expecting too much from Daily Kos.

As far as I'm concerned if Chelsea wants to be left alone and stay out of the fray of politics, thats fine and I would completely understand. But if she's on the road campaigning for her mom at political rallies thats a different story. But seeing as W of G didn't explain that swing and miss at moral equivalence, I'm not sure what the hell the intent was with that post.

It's good to see the some of the koslings aren't that far gone. As for the others....these kind of posts always make me feel somewhat better, since I'm not engulfed in hate like some of the left.

Also...I don't read Kos so maybe someone can address this better than I can. Do these people think they're intellectual? And is this kind of 'photo diary' supposed to pass as 'art'? Or is it just some sort of lame, narcissistic way to get any sort of attention? It's kind of hard for me to tell.

Was that "Republicans", per se?

Or just tacky, mean people?

I used to hate seeing any mention of Chelsea when Clinton was in office, same as I hated any story on Amy Carter (remember the reading at the table stories?). But none of these was "Republican" as far as I can recall, although I felt terrible for Chelsea during the Lewinsky "scandal" fallout. And that could probably be laid completely at the feet of a "Republican" effort. So if an indirect hit counts...

However, none of the attacks on Bush's daughters have been anything more or less than BDS on the part of the "media" and "entertainers". Disgusting.

And I won't even look at the filth on Dkos...the descriptions are enough.

However, I assume that there were party politics taking place, and much of it was a politica order. Furthermore, IIRC much of it came from Conservative/Republican talk show hosts...so....

Now, of course, this does not mean that every Republican or Conservative bought into it or was a jerk.

The overall point was that neither side should do this sort of thing.

Richest comment of the thread:

This family breaks the law at every turn and they get away with it; Jenna's "special day" does not absolve any of these crimes.

Has the FBI ever given the daughter of Mafia Crime Boss and break on her "special day?" No, they take photos and write down license plates and listen in on conversations, etc.

Why would this Crime Family be given a break?

It's time you and these other apologists get a grip!

Bush is getting away with it again, just like his Nazi forebearers.

When bombs that Bush authorized kills an Iraqi family on their wedding day; bombs dropped during an illegal way, why would Jenna's "special day" be out of bounds to make a comparison?

It's not the sins of the father; it's the sins of the whole goddamn family!

Time to get a grip.

The last sentence was written without any sense of irony, I'm sure.

I can agree that it's always in poor taste to hammer a child/young person/spouse with any deranged hatred one may harbor for the parent/parent/other spouse.

As I stated clearly, the attention (good or bad, it's usually bad) heaped on Amy Carter and Chelsea Clinton made me ill. I have four daughters; none of them is responsible for my actions.

The attacks on the Bush twins have been carried out in a new age of media baseness and bias that shows no restraint, and have been that much more prolonged, strident, and hateful.

I made the mistake of clicking on the link to that disgusting site. In my entire life, I've never witnessed a greater lack of geo-political knowledge. Just what is our educational system teaching our youth today? I've heard the term "kostards" tossed around here and I must say this link is evidence of it.

To put my post into perspective, I've followed geo-politics since the Kennedy assassination. I was a freshman in high school. I lived thru "duck & cover", the "missles of October" and Kruschev banging his shoe on the podium at the UN while stating "We will bury you". For the idiots that inhabit that site to ignore the threats this country has faced during my lifetime and think that they have just gone away is stupidity at it's finest. The threats don't go away, they just assume a different personna. If the Koskiddies paid attention in school, they just might have gotten a clue that there are legitimate threats to this country out there that are constantly morphing into another identity.

For DKos to select the leader of this country as the world's greatest threat to world peace is ignorance at it's pinnacle. When I was young, my parents would tell me that they envied me for the things I would see during my lifetime. I have not passed that on to my children for I do not envy them I'm sorry to say.

I read something earlier (quite possibly on this very website, can't recall) which basically breaks the population down into three groups. Sheep, sheepdogs, and wolves. The vast majority of the population are sheep, those without the propensity to kill, are the targets of the wolves and require the protection of the sheepdogs. Sheepdogs are a segment of the population that possess the propensity to kill, but will not harm the sheep. They prowl the perimeter looking for any sign of the wolf, and seek to engage the wolf in combat. The wolf also possess the propensity to kill, but seeks to kill the innocent, the sheep, those that cannot or will not defend themselves, and they avoid the sheepdog in direct combat. 95% of the population are sheep. It's not a bad thing, its just that most of the people of the earth are weak and/or timid and just want to live out their lives in peace. Soldiers, policemen, etc are the sheepdogs. They live to protect, and if they harm a sheep, they are cast out of the sheepdog ranks, or should be. Wolves are obvious. They live to intimidate, kill, harm the innocent, and are just assholes. The sheep are wary of both wolves and sheepdogs. The wolves for obvious reasons, but the sheepdog, because he is always prowling around the herd, looking off into the distance, has fangs and is just scarier than the average sheep. Plus, and this is big, the sheepdog reminds the sheep that the wolves are out there. And the thought of the existence of the wolf is enough to give the average sheep a stroke. They are easily frightened and driven to tears. How many times has a scribbler at DU or Kos stated that they burst into tears for no apparent reason (usually something having to do with a speech given by Obama-ssiah, or because of something Bush said. They are really fragile and emotional and hate being reminded of the wolf. When the wolf is at the door, they demand protection and praise the sheepdog (Remember 9/12/01).

Since we have had relative peace on our soil since 9/12/01, the sheep, at least the communist sheep, feel safe to lash out again at the sheepdog. Let another spectacular attack occur and the sheep will come screaming to the sheepdog. Crying, no doubt, with a thin trail of urine staining the wool. And of course the sheepdog will do his duty.

To be fair, it was the UN in Rwanda who ran away and allowed entire towns to be slaughtered. There were no Americans in that bunch and Clinton had nothing to do with it. He SHOULD have had something to do with it, but left it to the UN. Bill Clinton did have US troops in Somalia, supporting the UN. Although, the US troops did perform actions without UN approval.

Now Bosnia is a different story... there was NO UN AUTHORITY to go into BOSNIA. So next time someone speaks about what was done in Iraq, simply ask them, "What did Slobodon Milosovich do that Saddam Hussein didn't?"

re: #144 justiceforall

To be fair, Clinton did not start the bloodshed in Rwanda, while Bush, whether you support it or not, Bush did order the military action that is causing much of the death in Iraq.

Actually, the Iraq war SAVED lives in Iraq.

How? I'm glad you asked.

First, look up how many kids died of preventable diseases under the age of five between 1993 and 2003 due to unsanitary conditions, dirty water, and lack of medical supplies. You will find the number to be between 500,000 and 1 million, according to UNICEF. Of course, that's just kids under five, not the entire population. Who knows what the total number would be.

Now, we also know that no where near 500,000 have been killed due to the war, and those preventable diseases are gone because Iraq now has clean water and no shortage of medical supplies.

So, Bush saved lives, not caused them! Iraq is in much better shape now than it was in 2002, war included!

I always wished she'd replied, "Already have one, thanks for offering though!"

Or maybe she could have said "Is there any left after you all have been to the bar?"

But, back to the photos:

I am glad to see that her dress is prettier in those pictures than in others.

But, most importantly, KOS has turned off the ability to view the contents.
Gee, I wonder why? Get the screenshots, people, because the whole site is next!

re: #17 bosforus

Most of the comments are pretty critical of the thread, so I'll at least credit them that. But that's all I'll credit them.
You will know them by their fruits.

Well, NO credit to them, credit to the posters! I say Debits to them as they attack the critical posters saying go back to Free Republic! They have no class.

What's with the Words of Wisdom frequently quoted at the end of many comments (Mahler and Einstein being but two in that thread)
but entirely unrelated to the thread content ?

Daily Kos is baffling , as well as insane .

Strange photo montage at Kos --

Certainly explains part of the reason why the Bush's passed on a regal White House wedding.

There are some seriously deranged and twisted people over at the Kos site. They must, on a daily basis, sit and think about what would be the most sick and disgusting thing they can possibly post without being pornographic and then figure out a way to somehow link it to President Bush.

187 Cowardkerry  Tue, May 13, 2008 7:17:30am

They are irrelevant, linking to them only gets them attention. Ignore those R-tards

188 Yashmak  Tue, May 13, 2008 7:27:19am

I'm probably not the only one to notice this. .

Doesn't the groom look eerily like Prince Charles?

As to Kos, the term "Kos kids" is entirely appropriate. They routinely put up articles that read like they were written by someone with a 3rd grade mentality, but access to all the information of the internet. They can regurgitate information they find, but with little in the way of critical thought going on, and with all the cleverness of "I know you are, but what am I"

189 DoubleU  Tue, May 13, 2008 9:45:50am

It still amazes me how you people are shocked by anything the left does.

190 heartland_patriot  Tue, May 13, 2008 10:13:48am

Beyond disgusting! This is nothing short of barbaric in its own right. Sick.

re: #53 JCM

Since I can't post images we'll do the next best.

Image 1.

Image 2.

How's that for juxtaposition.

Brilliant.
I have to self-delete how I really feel about these scumbags.

192 RobCon  Tue, May 13, 2008 12:48:57pm

This montage is Kos-Sack porn.
