The Protocols of the Daily Kos

Thu, May 15, 2008 at 10:49:30 am PDT

Yes, it’s another ridiculously verbose anti-Israel diary at Daily Kos by “jon the antizionist jew:” Daily Kos: The Nakba at 60; Protest, Commemoration, and Solidarity.

And unlike the openly antisemitic diary we noted Tuesday, the commenters are almost all approving.

You won’t find a single diary or front page post at Daily Kos wishing Israel well on her 60th anniversary.

Not one.

And that vile antisemitic diary from Tuesday, by the way, has not been removed.

Why should they support the only functional democracy in the Middle East where people are free to worship (or not) as they see fit.

That's not their type of place.

Exactly. The Kinky Kos Kooks seem, to me at least, to be opposed to functional democracy right here at home.

Yet Obama out polls McCain with Jews 61%-32%.

When will they wake up to which party and political philosophy allows for Israels survival vs. the other one wanting to feed Israel to Syria and Iran?

Daily Kos: has been called one of the most influential progressive bloggers of our time.

The anti-Semitic drivel pumped out by the posters at DKos rivals that which is spouted off by Ahmadinejad and the anti-Semitic loons around the world, and yet these are the folks that Democrat candidates seek to get in the fold as their voters. They are pandered to, instead of being taught a stern and harsh lesson in what happens to those who are anti-Semites.

The lesson here is that the Democrats have problem with anti Semitism or racism or whatever other -ism you can think of when it's their own doing it. However, if someone else were to point it out, then they're racist, demagoguing, or engaging in behavior beyond the pale.

But the sad fact is that most people simply don't know and wont care about what goes on at that website. They're hooked on hope and change, and that's that.

It's always a relief to see signs of knowledge and reasoning among the comments at Daily Kos, and I was glad to see a few of them in this batch of comments. One or two of them actually knew that Palestine was largely empty after the Crusades, with populations of both Jews and Christians, and that the "Palestinians" were actually immigrants from what are now Syria, Lebanon, and other neighboring areas who came to enjoy the freedom and prosperity that came from the influx of European Jews in the 19th and early 20th centuries.

Some of them even admitted that the "Palestinians" mostly fled voluntarily at the urging of the leaders of the surrounding Muslim states--states which have since refused to take them in--and that the early Israeli leadership hoped to be able to include their Arab neighbors in the new country.

But there are still plenty of KosKids who thing those dirty, awful Jews (sic) should all just march into the sea. I half expected them to have "Sieg Heil!" in their sig. lines.

On the flip side I am actually impressed by the number of American Jews polled whosay they will be voting for McCain. considering the tool of a campaign he is running.

Barry's hysterical response to Bush's speech in Israel shows he has a glass jaw, in the form of oversensitivity to any implicit or direct criticism. He is not built to take it.

If McCain 527s, radio shows, and conservative blogs keep on hitting that jaw he is going to crumble, and Michelle will wig out. John Kerry will have looked 10x smoother in his failed campaign.

re: #8 karmic_inquisitor

That number is actually a little low for Jewish support of a Democratic candidate. It will get significantly lower as the campaign begins. There is a very strong movement of Jewish democrats will not only not vote for Obama but will vote for McCain. More significantly there are major Jewish donors who will withhold their donations to the Democratic party because of how upset they are with Obama and his band of anti-Israel foreign policy advisers.

This is a good site to find out just how significant this is: [Link: jewishdemocraticsupport.blogspot.com...]

re: #90 Gat New York

That number is actually a little low for Jewish support of a Democratic candidate. It will get significantly lower as the campaign begins. There is a very strong movement of Jewish democrats will not only not vote for Obama but will vote for McCain. More significantly there are major Jewish donors who will withhold their donations to the Democratic party because of how upset they are with Obama and his band of anti-Israel foreign policy advisers.

Good Link. Well, we know at least one Jew gets it. do the rest?

Who is being ethnically cleansed here?

Stop killing us.

I can't believe they actually publish this and then attempt to argue they aren't anti semites! Copied right off the Kos diary link...

"after centuries of persecution and expulsion on charge of treason by subversion of host nations, blood rituals in human sacrifice of Gentile children, corruption and ravishing of women, conspiracy to injure and murder esteemed officers & rulers and usurious & fraudulent deed in union with the spiritual descendants of the wicked Jews"

I beg to differ...

Most of the Jews in the Twin Cities absolutely find Obama to be, well, the bomb.
It doesn't bother today's leftest non secular Jews that the head of the Democratic presidential ticket cavorts with known Jew haters-not to mention the Zionist entity.

It is amazing how adept the Anti-Semites, and the Muslim haters of Israel have taken over the media and the message when it comes to Israel. What happened to all the sinister Jews running the media?
I'll clue you in: For the most part, American Jews apparently are to busy worrying about Abortion & Global warming than to worry about the demise of a country made up of their long forgotten kin. That is because the secular Jews in the US have it way to good to be worried...just like their German counterparts in pre WW2 in Germany. Just when they think they have totally assimilated-BOOM, a new rabid, enlarged group of Jew haters pop up.

Pundits always say that America is different-and that Jew hatred would never flourish like it has in Europe and Russia. I don't believe it. Just the right set of circumstances-like high gas prices and a slow economy truly exacerbate Anti Jewish and anti-Israel sentiment. Witness the Daily Kos, Obama, Buchannan and Ron Paul.

It's ugly stuff. : (

What do you differ with? Did you read the blog entry behind the link? Your entry goes on to prove my point. I meant that the guy/gal who wrote the Blog entry gets it, but many American Jews will still be voting Dem. That's been my consternation throughout the thread.

We're in violent agreement Peace.

re: #99 soccerdad

I disagree.

As Steve Herbits points out there will be a vast migration of Jews from the Democratic Party as well as MAJOR Jewish donors.

So you know, Steve had been Undersecretary of Defense during the Ford Administration and a close advisor to Rumsfeld in the beginning of the Bush administration. He and Rumsfeld had a falling out over the planning of the Iraq War. My guess is that Rumsfeld should have taken Steve's advice.

Steve is a very close associate of Edgar Bronfman and was #2 in the World Jewish Congress and influential in the UJA. When Steve says there is a wholesale movement of Jews away from Obama you can take it to the bank.

Steve, a lifelong Conservative Republican, announced suddenly that he was donating $10,000 to the Clinton campaign and became an advisor. So he is also familiar with the Jewish sentiment inside the Dem Party right now.

In my personal circle of friends I am one of the few conservative Jews and NONE of my liberal Jewish friends will vote for Obama.

I think you will see the same happen with voting blocs Democrats were counting on like Latinos and blue collar workers.

This reminds me of the McGovern campaign and will likely have the same results.

One only hopes! Jewish votes aside.....if it is BHO....it's a McCain LANDSLIDE! (not that that really excites me)

And unlike the openly antisemitic diary we noted Tuesday, the commenters are almost all approving.

[snip]

And that vile antisemitic diary from Tuesday, by the way, has not been removed.

True, the diary has not been removed, but the comment section will no longer open!
