Hamas TV: Bush is Dracula, a Vampire

Tue, May 20, 2008 at 2:19:56 pm PDT

My favorite part of this deranged little hate spew by Hamas “Minister of Culture (!)” and Jimmy Carter negotiating partner Atallah Abu Al-Subh is when he flips over a sheet of paper like a Western newscaster. Is he actually reading something that he wrote in advance?

Probably.

From Hamas’ Al Aqsa TV, May 18, 2008. (Courtesy of MEMRI TV.)

Click picture to play video. Requires Windows Media Player; Mac users should install Flip4Mac.

Atallah Abu Al-Subh: American support of Israel is total. It gets to the point where the Israeli demands turn into resolutions adopted by the Security Council, under the complete auspices of America. Thank you, America! In every alley, house and neighborhood, and [whenever they commit] a holocaust, the Israelis should erect a statue of little Bush, who gave them everything. This is not viewed as deplorable by the mistress of criminality, America, or by the master of killing, destruction, crime, violence, tyranny, and injustice – little Bush. I can see the blood of the children of Afghanistan between his fangs. Their blood drips onto his lips and chest. He is Dracula, a vampire. I can see the holocausts in which the Iraqi people is burned, the land that is being torn to shreds, the oil that is being plundered, and the four million Iraqis scattered throughout the land, or exiled in their own country. The forces of little Bush deny them their lives every morning. They destroy civilization and humanity, until the day comes when he can bring Israel the good tidings: In Baghdad, there is a nation that loves peace with the Israelis.

He tells us that the situation in Damascus and Iran will inevitably change, and that the peoples and regimes there will transform into neo-Americans, who protect every Israeli smile, and welcome every bullet used to kill their Arab brothers. This is what is going on. These are the “good tidings” Bush brings us. Afghanistan is being destroyed, Iraq is being destroyed - Qana, the Al-’Amariya shelter... All the hatred and all the fire that consumes people from within are matches lit by Bush. Bush will be the worst human being – if I may go so far as to call him a human – throughout history. The deeds committed by Nero pale in comparison with Bush’s deeds. The crimes of warlords like Mussolini, Hitler, and Franco cannot be compared to one quarter of Bush’s shoelace – let alone to his full height.

Bush thirsts for blood day and night. He derives pleasure from killing. He has surpassed all types of crimes and all sadistic traits. That’s Bush for you. With all his audacity and insolence, Bush tears the Arab land to shreds. He makes decisions and has the audacity to call for the killing of life, and the killing of any person fighting for his right to live. That’s Bush for you.

(Disturbing)
Impaling is perhaps the most horrible form of torture ever devised. Some people lived over a week like that before infection, hunger and thirst killed them. Doctors were sometimes (mis-)used to ensure that nothing important was injured so that death would be slow. I'm not sure what Vlad did, but that's how the Ottoman Turks impaled.

Didn't Vlad kick Muslim ass?

Yes, Vlad "the Impaler" kicked some major Muslim ass.

Vlad's nickname says it all. He impaled thousands of them on pikes and set them upright for miles down the roads leading to his castle/fortress.

And thus, the legend of "Dracula" was born.

re: #93 David IV of Georgia

The Romanians did it fairly recently, and I saw a picture from Africa in the last 20 years.

It's enough to weaken your faith in humanity. About the only thing I haven't seen used recently is crucifixion, for which we can all be grateful. It gives impalement a run for its money for lingering, agonizing and humiliating.

re: #95 Dad O' Blondes

Actually, that legend got born because, after a battle in which he was terribly wounded, Vlad Scorcinae was seen crawling from wounded to wounded and drinking their blood.

Vlad was...determined. He was probably nuts, too. He didn't just impale Turks, but pretty much anybody who annoyed him.

100 eon  Tue, May 20, 2008 3:01:52pm

re: #79 calcajun

probably a horribly slow and agonizing death. The only solace wold be for shock to set in quickly.

Vlad used tall stakes, with blunt, rounded tips, greased with pig fat.

Nothing quick or easy about it.

He was a genuinely twisted b*****d, but considering the Rules of War practiced by his enemies, he was probably less extreme than he seems to us today.

As for the whole "vampire" mythos, that was created by Abraham (Bram) Stoker, pretty much out of whole cloth. Then and now, Vlad Tepes (The Impaler) is a national hero in Romania- the general whose counter-offensive vs. the Turks along the Danube into Bulgaria in 1461 threw them back out of Moldavia for the first time in a generation. When he fell, it was due to the treachery of his own kinsmen who sold him out to the Turks. The "vampire" part of the mythos that Stoker embellished was based on German tales about Vlad- they didn't like him much more than the Turks did.

He may have been pretty unbalanced by our standards (in fact, by any standards)- but at the time, the Muslim armies were terrified of him.

/In case you haven't guessed, I have an old and cherished copy of McNally and Florescu's book. And their book on Frankenstein as well.

re: #97 Dianna

The Romanians did it fairly recently, and I saw a picture from Africa in the last 20 years.

It's enough to weaken your faith in humanity. About the only thing I haven't seen used recently is crucifixion, for which we can all be grateful. It gives impalement a run for its money for lingering, agonizing and humiliating.

Think again. Christians in some parts of Africa have been recently crucified.

re: #100 eon

Stoker dressed it up, but Vlad came by his rep by his own efforts. And, of course, Vlad's blood drinking after a battle got twisted up with the Countess Bathory's exploits.

re: #97 Dianna

I've heard, all hearsay, that in parts of the Soviet/Eastern Block prisons crucifixion was sometimes done to mock Christianity. The reliable sources I've seen don't confirm this, however. There are plenty of methods just as brutal that take less work.

re: #101 astronmr20

I read something to that effect, but I have not yet seen a picture, or found an account I consider reliable.

Not that I'm looking. My ability to remain calm in the face of this stuff has rather faded in the last decade.

Yes, I think we've seen the same sources. Like you, I have not seen anything I consider reliable.

The president tried in a way
To help give these people their say
Just like way back when
They blew it again
And threw all the goodwill away

It's way past the time to be sad
They ruined what goodness they had
They just couldn't see
It's nice just to be
To be nice and to stop being bad

No argument there. By McNally & Florescu's account, Tepes may have killed as many as 100,000 people (report of the Papal Nuncio, bishop of Erlau, in 1475). Including 40,000 of all ages, genders, and nationalities in a single "incident" at Buda in 1464. According to them, his entire principality had a total population of about half a million when he came to power- by the time he was deposed, one-fifth of the population was dead at his hands.

Considering all of the above, for the people of the region to still count him as a hero, I can only assume that what he did to their enemies was even worse.

Or the joy the Palis took when ripping apart a couple of Israelis who ended up in terroristan. They displayed their bloody hands. I wouldn't put it past them to have drunk some of the blood. Or lapped it up like the animals they are.

That does tend to give one pause, doesn't it?

Oh yes. I strongly suspect that the locals back then operated on the principle of "The lesser of two evils" when it came to whose rule they preferred to be under.

Apparently, to avoid getting impaled by Vlad, it was a matter of not getting him p***ed off at you. As for the Turks, their mindset was more or less "If you are not of us, your choice is simple- submission, or the sword." With a corollary of "But we reserve the privilege of putting you to the sword at our whim- because we are the Faithful, and you are not."

There are no more Vlads- fortunately.

The other mindset, however, is still all too current in that part of the world.

Hamas Video: We will drink the blood of the Jews

My message to the loathed Jews is that there is no god but Allah, we will chase you everywhere! We are a nation that drinks blood, and we know that there is no blood better than the blood of Jews. We will not leave you alone until we have quenched our thirst with your blood, and our children's thirst with your blood.

Projection, again, I guess. Nice.

American support of Israel is total. It gets to the point where the Israeli demands turn into resolutions adopted by the Security Council, under the complete auspices of America.

If this were true, this dipshit would be scattered into many little pieces, and Israel would have at least the land from the Mediterranean to the Jordan.

Didn't Vlad kick Muslim ass?

Ya know, the first thing I suspected was that he was making a reference to Vlad, given the Muslims' no doubt different interpretation of events, what with the impalings and all.
But no. He's talking about MOVIE vampires (I'm sure he has never read Dracula). It seems that American pop-culture references (again, not the Irish book) are the best this moron can come up with to describe what he thinks is evil. I suppose it's better than simply bashing the Jews again--oh, wait. Never mind.

I guess the part about Jews being the sons of apes and pigs is a bit of projection, too.

The guy hates Americans and the West. He is broadcasting on a western invetnion called television. He is wearing a western suit. He is wearing glasses, another western invention.

If only they didn't try and blow everything and anybody up, and didn't have any oil, these arab guys in suits would be useful for casual entertainment purposes.

Yes, Vlad "the Impaler" kicked some major Muslim ass.

Vlad's nickname says it all. He impaled thousands of them on pikes and set them upright for miles down the roads leading to his castle/fortress.

And thus, the legend of "Dracula" was born.

.

his purpose was to turn back the invading horde of savages and it worked.

145 Catttt  Tue, May 20, 2008 4:32:05pm

Why do Islamists completely miss the sexual subtext in Dracula, a novel full of biting, sucking, and impaling with large stakes? Almost no one else misses it (although they do argue about it).
