Is this the end of the innocence? Eagles Star Henley Pays Tribute To McCain.

U.S. presidential hopeful John McCain has picked up an odd endorsement as he prepares to battle either Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama - from Eagles star Don Henley.

While many celebrities are flocking to support the Democrats, Henley insists Republican Arizona senator McCain has impressed him.

The rocker tells Rolling Stone, “I have a lot of respect for John McCain. I’ve met with him on various issues and testified before the Senate Commerce Committee that he chaired.

”He was very fair. I like the fact that he doesn’t always go along with the extreme right wing of his party.”

 Frank says:

Mr Zappa, I am astounded at the courtesy and soft voiced nature of the comments of my friend, the Senator from Tennessee. I can only say that I find your statement to be boorish, incredibly and insensitively insulting to the people who were here previously, that you could manage to give the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States a bad name, if I felt you had the slightest understanding of it, which I do not. -- - Senator Slade Gorton
