Hillary Becomes a Republican

Fri, May 23, 2008 at 7:29:47 pm PDT

Hillary Clinton is finding out what it’s like to be a Republican tonight, as MSNBC and CNN and the Associated Press go for her jugular vein; she mentioned the assassination of Robert Kennedy as an example of how things can change in an election’s late innings, and the left wing media are almost universally accusing her of insinuating that Barack Obama will be assassinated.

Welcome to the GOP, Hill!

UPDATE at 5/23/08 7:57:48 pm:

Keith Obermann’s rant: “You actually used THOSE WORDS in this America, Senator?! You cannot SAY THIS!!!”

I just had horrible thoughts of McCain/Clinton as the Republican ticket.

Hillary is about as Republic as John McCain.

Sensitive mummies and dumbass Brits:

The decision, which has prompted wholesale derision, came after Manchester Museum said it had received ‘feedback’ from the public saying it was ‘insensitive to display unwrapped mummies’.

Having ordered the cover up, managers claim they are following Government policy and are carrying out a public consultation.

Last night the museum, whose Egyptian department has a worldwide reputation, was accused of being ridiculous and told it risked becoming a ‘laughing stock’.

Ayatollah Pant Suit is doing the heavy lifting for Sleepy John in '08.
Plus you know the media would be dissecting Sleepy's medical records with a fine tooth comb if you didn't have the flap over the "assassination" comments by Hillary.

Fact is the Clintons are right. Obama is unelectable by the established voting criteria. Plus Clinton is crazy like a fox. The assassination comment ensures she can't be the VP on Obama's crash and burn ticket. The Clintons not only want the nomination they want to dominate the democratic party.

In their minds the United States and our allies and friends are the Evil Empire and it must be brought down.

But we're not the Evil Empire and war is not peace, freedom is not slavery, ignorance is not strength, and consensual sex is not rape.

But to accept reality as being real would not allow them to pretend that they are some manner of superior person. Especially when they are so mentally inverted.

I think some folks feel a need to achieve, but since they are not the creative or productive kind of person they must then resort to destruction in the place of positive achievement. Thus the need to denigrate their victims, those persons, groups, or nations who are actually good.

Democrats are political bedfellows of convenience they only care who can win it all for them. All will be forgiven in 2012. That is why you still have undecided super delegates at this point, they can read the state results that show Obama loses, given his poor showing. Remember he only won

Let them keep fighting. The wounds will leave the Democratic Party in shreds.
Afterwards, we can end up with two new parties; a conservative Republican party, and a new center/left party. The remains of the Democrats will be the loony left.
Of course, this could mean that McCain and Lieberman end up in the new party. Even Hillary. The loony party gets left with Kucinich (sp?) and Obmama-Marx. Maybe Ron Paul moves over and joins them, and we have some fun times watching their debates (How many ufos have visited Earth in the past year? Mr Kucinich?)

But the nightmare ticket of McCain/Clinton would guarantee an Obama victory.

Hillary was talking about months into the campaign. She said that generally it was not until June that any candidate dropped out.
She mentioned that Bill Clinton clinched the nomination in June, by winning California in June.
She paused, and said that she clearly remembers that the month was June, because that was the month that Robert Kennedy was assassinated.

There is no way that the media are able to cut this courageous woman any slack. They assume the worst possible motives. She was stating facts, not cursing her rival.

Incidentally, the story about Hillary's trip to Bosnia has strangely omitted these important details, involving what the cameras did not show during her flight into Bosnia.
[Link: www.nytimes.com...]

Straight Shooting From Tuzla, by Lissa Muscatine and Melanne Verveer
"Reports are now being embellished (to borrow a term du jour) to suggest that Bosnia was not really a danger zone. Her visiting American troops on a peacekeeping mission in a hostile environment is now being treated as if it were a trip to the beach. During a week of nonstop coverage, few journalists went beyong the irresistible video footage to ask what else happened on this trip and how Mrs. Clinton might have erred in the details about he landing in Tuzla. So here are some facts that provide context:

We flew in a C-17 cargo plane from Germany to Bosnia precisely because it was capable of steep descents and ascents into and out of areas of conflict. We were issued flak jackets on the plane before landing in Tuzla and were told the tarmac ceremony might be canceled or curtailed due to sniper fire from the surrounding hillsides. The first lady and Chelsea Clinton wer moved to the armored cockpit for the landing. Armored vehicles were placed around the tarmac, and Apache helicopters hovered overhead.

In a recent e-mail message to a British blogger, Ejup Ganic, who was the acting president of Bosnia during Mrs. Clinton's visit, wrote: "I remember that visit quite well. Although the NATO troops were in Tuzla, we still believed that some positions on the hills were occupied by radical Serbs, so I was worried about the overall safety." The planned welcoming ceremony was shortened, he said, but it still lasted a bit longer than expected because a nongovernment group brought along a little girl to sing to the first lady.

Later, Mrs. Clinton flew from Tuzla to two military outposts by helicpter, escorted by Apache gunships.

Can you imagine the situation with a President Barack Hussein Obama, and the first lady, Michelle Obama, doing this? I cannot.

Barack Obama's co-president, Michelle Obama, will be very different.

It is totally obvious that the meida love Obama and think that Hillary is a bizzach, and of course that the loss of the media protection makes them like republicans. That said, her RFK comparison was stupid and cold-blooded, and proof that she is a total a-hole and that they only care about themselves. Her spin that it was cuz she was thinking about Teddy is an example of a narcisistic disorder where she can never do wrong and her wrong deeds are only altruism misunderstood by her lessers.

Keith Obermann’s rant: “You actually used THOSE WORDS in this America, Senator?! You cannot SAY THIS!”

You cannot make a simple historically correct statement and say that Robert Kennedy was assassinated in that month of June. You cannot.

But if you are the media's darling Obama you can say that John McCain wants America to be at war in Iraq for a hundred years. And you can say this dirty libel twice. Because if Obamessiah says it, it's ok.

But if Hillary states a simple historical fact, all hell breaks loose.
Now Obama and his supporters will resume his efforts to shove her out of the race, just as he shoved all of his Dem rivals out of the race when he first got into politics. No, not exactly like that. He sent his lawyers to study the nominating petitions sheets of all of his rivals, and they disqualified enough sheets so that ALL of the candidates except Barack Obama were disqualified, and he ran unopposed.

For the US Senate, somebody must have leaked to the press the sex scandals involving BOTH the Democrat and Republican rivals, so their campaigns imploded and he was left with out a serious rival.

For the general election, the Obamites are trying to get John McCain disqualified from being President on the grounds that he was born in the Canal Zone. Of course, since his father was in the service, and that's where his father was stationed.

But you can always count on Obama to try to get all of his rivals eliminated before the race actually ends, and in some cases, before it even begins.

157 offendi  Fri, May 23, 2008 8:19:23pm

The Clinton campaign is actually doing the smart thing for the position they are in after incompetently running the early part of her campaign, if their goal is to maintain control of the party and position her for 2012.

The best analogy is boxing. Hillary hanging in there and challenging Obama all the way through is the equivalent of body punching Obama to the point he may get tired enough to drops his hands and get KO'ed. He is an inexperienced candidate with questionable political stamina not built for hand to hand combat or trench warfare. They may have some goods on him or expect him to commit some major blunder in the remaining time.

Hillary will be remembered as a tough competitor ( ruthless counts among democrats) and she can tell them she told them so when 2008 becomes a disaster. It's a win-win.

Exactly. Spot on. In some ways, the Billaries are even more evil that Hussein and /his lovely wife.

When you look into their history when he was the Gov. of AR? Shrill's thesis? The AR mafia? Shrill and the Rose Law Firm? Bubba's infamous last nanosecond pardons?

And Ron Brown and Vince Foster? They are a real danger to anyone who dares go against them, and I would not like to see Hussein, his Evil wife or his kids be at the wrong end of a gun. I hope that they strengthen his Secret Service protection.

I was an adult, and married when JFK was assassinated, and then Bobby Kennedy.

Shrill was, IMHO, sending a warning. She (?) damned well knew exactly what she was saying, but thought that it would go by unnoticed, especially on a holiday weekend. That was really stupid.

Because she knew he was a political riser, and that she was a political loser. She has no ability to connect (at least to a TV audience) like Bill does -- she hitched her wagon, baked her cookies, and stood by her man for just the opportunity she is now squandering...

Nothing can be decided before the convention. Obama's camp cannot control the floor, because their majority of committed delegates cannot ensure his nomination. In a normal convention one candidate has the candidacy wrapped up through committed delegates and controls the floor. Verbal declaratons toward one candidate or another by superdelegates is irrelevant until after the first ballot, if that results in a nomination.

Thus, equal time will be given to Clinton in Denver, because there aren't enough committed delegates available to control the floor.

It's gonna be a mucky-muck, and that's exactly as it should be.

Thus, equal time will be given to Clinton in Denver, because there aren't enough committed delegates available to control the floor.

Yet.

I think there will be a big push for the super delegates to pledge for Obama before the convention just to avoid the mess that will ensue if they don't. Howie Dean will be bizzy the next few weeks. And at the risk of sounding crass, I wouldn't doubt that Ted Kennedy will be making some calls too.

Headline: "MSM Throws Hillary Under The Bus"

From reading the description of the whole situation, it sounded like a harmless remark taken completely out of context. I'm still shocked to see the media turn on Clinton and treat her like they treat everybody else ("everybody else" being "non-Democrats").

It's one thing to know intellectually that they always eat their own, but it's another thing entirely to watch it happen, and for the victim to be a Clinton. It's like watching a Michael Bay stunt in slow-motion. I guess this is what it felt like for the Soviets whenever the previous leader was purged.

How Crypto-Marxism Won the Cold War

By James Lewis

Today, for the first time in American history we have two --- count 'em, two --- hard-core Leftists running for the Democrat Party nomination. The Left hasn't had this kind of chance for power since Truman defeated Henry Wallace in 1948. Hillary and Obama are Marx twins who only differ in race and gender.

All the media tell us is how great it is to have a woman and a black man running for president. What those two really believe, where they learned their quasi-religion, where they derive their support, who else they want to raise to power, and what they will do if they get there --- all that doesn't even get discussed. All over the world, Leftist hearts are leaping at Hillarybama. What exciting progress!

Wait a minute. Marxism lost the Cold War, right? The Soviet Empire came down, Eastern Europe was liberated, China is now semi-capitalist, and post-socialist countries like India are thriving like never before. More of the world is prospering, because economic and political freedoms have spread since the USSR crumbled. Even Russia has a low, flat tax to encourage free markets. Indigenous talents and enterprise are finally being liberated, and the results are wonderful for hundreds of millions of people.

Liberals are upset today because free-market economies are growing too fast, and are therefore polluting an unsullied Mamma Earth. Tens of millions of ordinary people in China and India are doing too well. The elites seem to yearn for the good old days --- the famines in India, the massacres in Russia and China --- and that wonderful sense of being in charge of human progress.

And yet ... in spite of years and years Leftist catastrophes, our organs of propaganda are still tilting drunkenly to the Left. Crypto-Marxism, a barely disguised revival of the old farce, is flourishing in our chattering classes. The prestige that Marxism lost in the real world soon came back in fantasy. Oh, if people only loved one another! Oh, if people only cared! Oh, if we only had real solidarity with the wretched of the earth! That's the feel-good story. But the real yearning is for power: Oh, if only people like us were in charge of everything.

Wow ... there is a perverse side of me that wants to show up in Denver just to see what happens. I just may!

Personally, I think it would be better to watch on TV.

I don't know how the Denver Cops will behave.

There are few things quite as dangerous as frightened cops surrounded by lunatic teenagers throwing rocks, bottles and who knows what at them.

On the first day of the WTO riots, I was riding the ferry into Seattle. The boat was full of people dressed up in paper-mache turtle costumes and a bunch of old union labor organizers. They all thought they were going to a harmless carnival in the streets with puppet protesters and parades.

Then the Eugene Anarchist tore the city a new one. It was ugly.

Makes no difference. The superdelegates only count on the ballot, not the committed totals. Obama is far away from nomination without them. He probably wins, but he cannot control the floor. Only with an assured majority of committed delegates - those chosen by primary or caucus - can he do so.

It will be fun.

Yeah, during Fleet Week (usually around the 4th of July) the US Navy and some of our allies send a few ships into port in NYC. When the aircraft carrier Intrepid was berthed at the pier on W. 47ht street, Marines or Rangers would do helicopter rappelling and stuff and you could tour the ships that came in for Fleet Week!

For example, Sen. Joseph Lieberman says ANWR exploration "would cause irreversible damage to one of God's most awesome creations." This is irresponsible absurdity. Not only would the damage, in fact, be reversible; this area simply cannot hold a candle to God's most awesome creations. The Post (and the New York Times) had it right in the 1980s, when they supported exploration-with far more intrusive technology than today's-in this truly remote, bleak, and nigh-upon-inaccessible redoubt on the top of the world.
