Daily Kos: A 'False Flag Attack' on Obama Will Set the Stage for Nuking Iran

Thu, May 29, 2008 at 4:42:46 pm PDT

Where can a moonbat go when its conspiracy theory is even too whacked out for the Huffington Post? (Yes, apparently, there are some things too whacked out for HuffPo.)

Daily Kos: What I couldn’t say on Huffpo.

McBush and company are counting the days before Obama will return to Iraq. Nothing will suit the neocon’s plans better than Obama giving them photo opportunities with the usual sales gang put forward by Psy Ops. My simple suggestion that this could be a trap, fell beyond the pale for the new moderators over at Huffpo, let’s see how it fares here.

Darth Cheney has made repeated promises to both the Saudi royals and the Israeli Likudists (in my minds ear) that America will destroy the energy capabilities of Iran, but to date, Darth has not been able to manufacture the impetus for it. My conspiracy theory is that a false flag attack on Obama, would inspire the shock and anger of the American people to give the green light for the mass bombing of Iran, perhaps including nukes.

This would presumably destroy any hopes of Iran’s having ‘the bomb’ as well as severely limit Iran’s ability to support Hamas and Hezbollah, thus aiding the Likudists. It would also give the Saudis greater control of the world’s oil market as well as diminishing their Shia competition in the Muslim community. Leave it to the fascists to try and kill one bird with one stone (and 1300 1 bombs).

So, in reading between the lines, and that aint too hard, this writer is concerned that the planned attacks by Hisbollocks and Hummus on Israel, will be severley stymied by an attack on Iran and this is a cause for concern?

19 shibumi  Thu, May 29, 2008 4:49:07pm

Some things are even too much for Kos readers. Here are some comments:

you couldn't put it on Huffpo?
where can we get a stupid filter like that here at kos?

Beyond the pale
I can see why Huffpo didn't want this

Drunken Posting is Usually a Bad Idea
When you sober up, please delete this.

and my personal favorite:

I, for one, ...wouldn't put it past them. All of the lies and corruption, the torture approved at the highest levels, how can anyone say that something of this sort is not at least within the realm of possibility? They planned the Iraq invasion and occupation from the moment they stepped foot in the White House, they've been actively planning to carpetbomb Iran for at least 2 years now, maybe more.

If all they had to do was tell a merc from Blackwater to dress like Osama and take a pot shot at Obama to get justification to start bombing Iran, you don't think Dick "I shot my friend in the face and made him apologize to ME" Cheney wouldn't try it? You think it's beyond the pale for even him? I don't and will always have this special quote ingrained in my brain:

"So?" - The Dick, when told that 70% of US ain't down with his war

Now, I hope to [insert your deity here] that nothing like that happens. But if it did, I would know it d@mn well wasn't the AQI, Sadr, or the Quds. They want us out, Obama wants to leave. Who benefits by staying, by expanding the war?

20 Cicero05  Thu, May 29, 2008 4:49:18pm

Not long ago that was a very popular theory among the Koskidz; Bush would refuse to leave office and declare himself Emperor. Kos himself had to step in and bad those diaries along with 9-11 conspiracies.

I have uber moonbat co-workers that, up to about a year ago, were absolutely certain that Bush was going to crown himself king. What's even stranger is that now, with either the Pantsuit or Urkel running for the Dems, they do not know who to vote for and are considering McCain.

It must be hard to be a liberal and live without logic.

How Smart is Obama? But the time has come to be more precise with our terms. Yes, Obama undeniably has a high level of cognitive ability. But it’s becoming increasingly apparent that he either has read few books or retained very little from the books he read. Either that or he’s spent his time reading books that don’t help him understand history and won’t help him carry out his tasks as president.

[snip]

Obama has made a habit of coming across like a man who doesn’t know what he’s talking about. That’s bothersome enough, but what’s more worrisome still is how comfortable he is with not knowing what he’s talking about, and how convinced he seems that his rhetorical flourishes will obscure his ignorance. That strategy may work on the campaign trail, but it certainly won’t help him govern.

I think about this guy I saw on the freeway once. He's got this beater of a car and the back is plastered with Lefty bumper stickers (the preferred medium for transmitting leftist deep thoughts). One says, "Some village in Texas is missing its idiot."

I'm no great fan of Bush, but I know he graduated from Harvard Business School, ran a successful business and was governor of Texas before he became president. Hardly a slacker.

And yet here's some pathetic loser who's probably on his way to a job where he takes the fries out of the oil when the buzzer goes off, and somewhere along the line he's convinced himself that his intellect is superior to Bush's.

Can't he see he's a walking punch line with a bumper sticker like that? Is it enough that all of his dipshit friends tell him its cool? The level of obliviousness that some of these people have about their position in the world is really frightening.

What I don't get is why the same people that think Bush is a war-loving nut-job with ultimate-Kinglike-powers also believe that he has to create these grandious plans and schemes to bomb somebody.

You don't get that? It's easy to explain.

On Sept. 11, 2001, those people got a harsh message from the real world: even though they are nice, politically-correct liberals, there are people out in that real world who hate them for being Americans -- who would not give them the chance to explain how they are the good kind of Americans, the peace-loving kind of Americans, the ones who feel really bad about America's history of imperialism and support for corrupt dictatorships, before slicing off their heads as they did Daniel Pearl's.

This harsh message cut their moorings from reality. No longer could they simply continue to live ordinary lives while resenting the fact that half their countrymen voted for a Republican President and Congress -- that wasn't enough to keep them safe.

So they looked for the only explanation they could wrap their minds around for their fear and uncertainty... and they came up with a multi-pronged strategy for orienting themselves in this chaotic new world:

1) They don't really hate us: the neo-cons did all of it to make us think there are people out there who hate us.

2) They don't really hate us: they hate Bush and his ilk, and if we hate Bush and his ilk too, and hard enough, those people out there will see we're good folks.

Seattle, I get a couple locals and PBS pretty good. If I tweaked my antenna I'd do a lot better.

One of the longstanding Bushitler conspiracy theories has to do with a plot by the military to block all negative enemy propaganda from reaching our ears while at the same time saturating the American public with patriotic exhortations to victory.

Indeed, places like Cambodia and Mozambique were clear, unquestionable success stories of countries that were infinitely better off after United Nations engagement than they were some 10 years ago. “But we may become the victim of our own success if peacekeeping is seen as the instrument that can be applied to any situation. 215 offendi  Thu, May 29, 2008 5:55:04pm

Actually the election or presumptive election of Obama will cause Israel to attack and destroy as much of the Iranian nuclear infrastructure as possible, and perhaps decapitate the Iranian leadership structure at the same time. Israel has always been more ruthless in protecting its national security interests than the United States due to the immediacy of the threat and geographic location.

Israel is united across the political spectrum ( except for the arab parties of course ) that Iran cannot be allowed to have nukes. The calculus is that Obama will be seen as a weak leader adverse to the use of military force, and will thereby be tested by regimes like Iran. The reasonable assumption will be that Obama will compromise to avoid the use of force and the possibility of severe escalation. Israel therefore cannot trust Obama or his resolve when it comes to Israeli national security.

The bombing of the Syrian Korean-built reactor and the peace overtures to Syria are more of a prelude to the bombing in terms of Israeli attempts to separate Syria and Iran and deter a larger scale military action in response to a bombing of Iran. Zippi Livni, Ehud Barak, and Bibi Netanyahu, all possible successors to the soon to be gone Olmert, will pull the trigger on this.

The ironic and somewhat amusing aspect of the Kos-ies concern is that we are probably closer to " the end of days" or more at risk of it with Obama as President than McCain, even if they wish to project him as a war-mongerer. McCain will deter conflicts, Obama encourage them through his inexperience and lack of judgement in world affairs. We are in for dark days with a President Obama.

'Likudists' (sic) or 'Likudiks' (sic), no, this idiot doesn't even know that it would be 'Likudnik'. Why would the Iranians target their best hope for appeasement and withdrawal of the US from the region. Ergo, why would anyone believe that if anything happened to the Obamanation it would come from Iran which basically supports the Obamanation's run for the Presidency? One would think that in a false flag operation, if any actually existed, the target of the false flag would be one whose interests would align with the consequences of the operation. Since none of the purported targets would align with the consequences, the operation would instantly be recognizable as such and hence could not be undertaken. The amount of tinfoil and acid this creepy poster would have had to consume to come up with this paranoid fantasy is too breathtaking to contemplate.
It also is so libelous to this nation and our armed forces and to the Administration to assert that it would engage in assasaination of its own Presidential candidates or political leadership. So far as I know the only far from plausible case of political assasaination occurred with Vince Foster during the Clinton years, and even that hypothetical case is far from settled in my mind.

I have a simpler theory that doesn't involve anyone taking a trip all the way over to Iraq and getting 'false flag' attacked and Darth Cheney doing anything at all.

Saudis and other oil tics bribe/support powerful and corrupt individuals in Western countries, including the UN and huge environmentalist/socialist groups, to keep nuclear plants from being built and potential oil resources from being tapped. So they can control the price of a crucial commodity and keep the $$ rolling in. And with those $$ they can spread their hate religion around the world so they can gain even more control - cornering the market on both the spiritual and the financial.

See? Anyone can come up with a conspiracy. It's fun!
