HIll's victory isn't stopping the msm from spinning it to obama's favor:

Puerto Rico moves Obama closer to nomination

Hillary Rodham Clinton won most of the delegates in Puerto Rico's primary Sunday, but Barack Obama crept closer to clinching the Democratic nomination for president.

They will stop at nothing to toss her under their bus.

No, you're missing the point. The voters don't matter anymore, it's the super delegates that do. Once this tape hits, and I bet it's out there, nobody in the democrat party hierarchy will want anything to do with him. And, his drones will not vote for whitey in the fall, count on that.

Why use a tool like this now? Wait until right before the convention, when Hill has more popular votes than Obamessiah, has won more battleground states than he has, and they're still arguing about what to do with MI and FL. Hill gets the nomination faster than Wright can say "U S of KKK A"

No, you're missing the point. The voters don't matter anymore, it's the super delegates that do. Once this tape hits, and I bet it's out there, nobody in the democrat party hierarchy will want anything to do with him. And, his drones will not vote for whitey in the fall, count on that.

I think the Democratic party (including all the delegates, super and otherwise) is vested in the 'black man as president' narrative and if/when a tape like this appears, they will overlook it- especially if it's wifey who he can throw under the bus if needed. I don't think any of the delegates are thinking logically at all, and the MSM will simply explain it away, or hide it, like they've explained away or hidden every other gaffe Urkel has made.

Either way, you're essentially correct- Hillary supporters will not move to Urkel and vice versa, and their party-and election chances- will be compromised, if not ruined.

151 EE  Sun, Jun 1, 2008 5:32:34pm

Senator Hillary Clinton has won the popular vote in the Democratic contests. Today she added about another hundred thousand to her lead over Obama.

If you count only those contests in which there was a secret ballot (and omit the caucuses circuses that had no secret ballot and had intimidation, bullying and peer pressure, that means counting only primary elections not the circuses, then Hillary has won the popular vote by far.

In the general election of 2000, the Democrats said that the election was stolen from them because Al Gore had won the popular vote.

If the superdelegates now steal the election from Hillary, this will be a stain on the Democratic Party that will be obvious to everyone, and that will be spoken of in the general election.

Hillary: you should not turn tail now, if you intend to do justice to your millions of supporters in America. I voted for you in the Dem primary in my state, and so did millions of other Americans. Go to the Convention, and put it to the Superdelegates that you have won the popular vote, and that more Democratic voters want you to be the Democratic nominee than want any other candidate.

If the Superdelegates still insist on stealing the election from you, then you will have done your duty, and the crime is theirs. You cannot do more than that, and you owe it to your supporters to not do less.

171 Arbalest  Sun, Jun 1, 2008 5:42:28pm

What worries me is that the tape might be:

1. Too grainy: Is it really Michelle?

2. Barely audible, at least in certain important sections

3. Too old: If it dates from '98, then it's probably straight; before '94, toss it out the door.

4. Too casual:
a. She's part of a relaxed conversation of some sort, with no one of importance; someone throws out an internal racial epithet and others use it too, and the conversation just grows. No one thinks anything of it at the time.

b. She's part of some sort of discussion of political-socio-racial-stuff. There's little meaning, only analysis.

5. Other.

In any case, the ability of BHO to spin his way clear of this is easy. Given that he's said that he split from TUCC, the Faithful might just believe the spin, no questions asked, next issue.

Whereas:

1. There aren't enough 'pledged' delegates left in the final two
primaries to put BO over the top.
2. At least 10 superdelegates have switched allegiances from
Clinton after offering their first "commitment"
3. Since some superdelegates have already changed sides, they
can and will do so again if they believe it is politically expedient
  to do so.
4. Since a superdelegate "commitment" appears to mean nothing,
and thus only their vote from the convention floor (basement,
  ceiling, wherever) actually means anything,

Does it not follow that:

BO shall remain at least 20 votes short of victory until said vote
  is taken at the convention,

And given that, why on Earth should Clinton quit this thing now?

They have half delegates as well in Michigan and Florida.

Actually, the Republican party also penalized those states for moving up their primaries. The Michigan and Florida delegates to the Republican convention also only get half votes, although those votes may be restored by floor vote at the convention.

More important, since the nomination was decided early and by a substantial margin, there was no reason to fight this penalty.

There is no such thing as a "lie-detector", thus polygraphs are inadmissible in court. In any event, the guy is named Sinclair and is apparently supported by whitehouse.com. Don't forget that the porn industry (in the form of Larry Flint) supported WJC. I guess that they support HRC as well.

This will be a very entertaining election.

Whitehouse.com? That used to be a porn site until it decided to try to be some sort of political blog. Pure publicity stunt to generate traffic, imo.

At the time I was in grad school, practically the only black men you met in grad, law business or med school were mixed, adopted, African or Caribbean or Gay. Heterosexual black American men (I always wondered then if being gay allowed black men from the inner city to not be pressured into acting out the stupid rituals that land so many in jail) were near non-existent though there were always many black American women not in the above.

Often, the wife was a black American woman whose racial politics was big enough for both, meaning the black man could reclaim authenticity by being married to a Power Princes type like Lady Michelle.

Hillary Clinton has crushed Barack Obama in another primary, 68% to 32%.

She won by her usual percentage among Hispanics. But this time, she won voters from a place that isn't part of the United States and doesn't have any electoral votes.

Puerto Ricans have the unique status that they're neither in nor out. They're just thinking it over. There's no time limit. They can opt at some point in the future for statehood, or for independence, or they can just let it ride. In the meantime, they can move to the U.S., and hold U.S. citizenship, but for purposes of the Olympics they're their own nation.

Look at the pols versus McCain, neither has suffered. The continued fighting keeps both of them on the front page every day. McCain might be there once or twice per week.

Not a clue! It is beyond comprehension, and if G-d forbid, either of them won? It will not just impact on us, but our kids, grandkids, and possibly even our great grandkids...an unmitigated disaster in the making, and the rest of the world will feel our pain.

The Dem candidate would be getting all of the above the fold coverage anyway.

This way, the coverage they get is at least a little negative.

Why in the world do you think Puerto Ricans would "love" Clinton for pardoning those creeps?
What little support the FALN had was mostly in mainland radical enclaves that worship the likes of Fidel Castro. In fact, those pardons were more pro-Castro than pro-PRican.
The overwhelming majority of Puerto Ricans are either for keeping Commonwealth status or for statehood. Of the small minority that favor independence, very few would favor violent revolution, much less terrorism, to get it.

Puerto Rico.
Don't ever remember an election when people talked about GUAM, much less Puerto Rico. What does Puerto Rico matter in November? Unless they finally voted YEA for statehood.
As for the Mich and FL votes - wasn't this the Clinton's insurance policy? Knocking out contenders in two big states via a staged argument betwen the state Dems and the DNC? With an expectation (small gamble) of being able to argue the votes back in if things weren't going Hillary's way?
What a compromise - half a vote. Worse than a NO. Either they're valid or they are not. All or nothing, but nooooo 50%? Huh? It's unjustifiable. Rush did call this right on the money a while ago - that the Dem women would be livid.

Her time for grenades is running short.
As to rumors about Obama's sexuality, that sort of stuff is just pure slime.
Short of physical proof, nobody is going to touch that, and any attempt is likely to backfire.

At this point, I'm not sure which Dem candidate would make the weaker opponent for McCain, but I do agree with the conventional wisdom that the longer the fight drags on, the worse the hurt feelings are going to be, and the harder it will be for the eventual nominee to re-unify the party.

The biggest irony here is that policy-wise Obama and Clinton's platforms are nearly identical. If you're voting based on policy, (not personality or most likely simple identity politics), you might as well just flip a coin between those two.

That is true, with the clear implication being that the so-called "Democratic" party doesn't trust actual Democracy when it comes to picking its own nominee.

The problem with the superdelegates, of course, is that ultimately they are going to be looking after their own interests, rather than those of the party or country. In other words, there is no guarantee whatever that the superdelegate supervision will add a layer of "sanity" to the process.

Now that it's too late to help her, Hillary should have adopted the
song,
"Let the Sun Shine In,
Face it with a grin,
winners never quit,
and quitters never win."

It has been attributed to many people who are quite quoteworthy.

Is Puerto Rico a State now? I didn't know they had a vote.

Hope, Change, Chaos

Have you seen Obama speak off the cuff, without a teleprompter? The man can't form a comprehensible thought or express it verbally. A great speaker?, not hardly.

281 Jaydee  Mon, Jun 2, 2008 5:40:32am

Hillary, go get em gal!

re: #27 tedzilla99

I have seen this referenced in a few places - the IED that will derail the HopeChange express: video of Michelle Obama preaching against 'whitey' at Trinity

And, Hillary has won all the large electoral college states, and has a large popular vote lead as well. Operation Chaos has done very well!

Mid flight the noquartersusa site has mysteriously gone down.
Someone suggested it has been hacked......ermmmmmmmmmm!

Interesting, and I suppose I do hope the tape exists. Frankly, even though most totally bogus and pointless polls show Clinton faring better against McCain than Obama... I'd still rather not take the risk.

From what I can tell, an Obama presidency would have the Obama faithful taking up the role of PC brownshirts, browbeating everyone who dares question their president. He himself would be presenting an informationless message of "Look, we're hoping and changing things! Now, I can't tell you what things, that's too petty. I can't tell you whose hopes, that would be unfair. But rest assured someone's hopes are coming true, and change is happening." Ultimately, a whole bunch of people who remind me of the kids in my college who would regularly solve all of the world's problems between bong hits, would have unfettered access to the halls of power in this nation.

On a last note, isn't it odd that in a year when everyone, but everyone, is feeling at least uneasy about the economy if not downright screaming-meemy terrified, we have three candidates who seem to be the fluffiest of the bunch on matters of money?

285 justiceforall  Mon, Jun 2, 2008 8:57:01am

"Go, Hillary, go!"

Didn't know Charles was such a Hillary fan.

286 Albigensian  Mon, Jun 2, 2008 9:18:07am

More than a few MSM dailies do not seem to consider the Puerto Rico primary election worthy of coverage. Try (for example) to find any article at all reporting the results in the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel ([Link: www.jsonline.com)....]

It's not just buried- it's just not there at all. As though it had never happened, right down the oubliette.

And, truly, no matter how many delegates Obama has, the fact that he could lose by over 2:1 is newsworthy as it indicates that he may prove to be a very weak candidate.

287 czekmark  Mon, Jun 2, 2008 9:19:35am

I love it, a couple of vicious curs (Hill and Obama) fighting over a bone (the USA). May they rip each other apart which by the way is the only way that our nation can be saved.

re: #286 Albigensian

Might have something to do with the fact that many Americans are bored as hell with the primaries.

289 BingoBunny  Mon, Jun 2, 2008 11:13:27am

Hey, don't let anybody fool you! If you can remember the 60's, you weren't there.

I just heard that angry Democrat Harriet from NYC on YouTube via Dennis Prager's podcast. Great Stuff!
