‘Whitey’ Tape Fake? Say It Ain’t So!

At Reason Online, David Weigel begins to figure out that Larry Johnson (the source of the scurrilous and apparently false “Michelle Obama whitey tape” rumor) has zero credibility—something I’ve known for several years, which is why I didn’t write a single word about his claim (despite many emails, some of which probably came from Johnson himself): Reason Magazine - Hit & Run - Everything’s Gonna Be All White.
On Monday I blogged about the rumors of a video that shows Michelle Obama making hateful comments about “whitey.” I’m now convinced that Larry Johnson, the blogger who’s done the most to make the rumors public, is spreading misinformation.
