The Deification of the Democrats: Obama is a 'Lightworker'

Fri, Jun 6, 2008 at 10:28:11 am PDT

By now, most of the blogosphere knows that Mark Morford is one of the most venomous, hateful moonbats currently writing for a major US newspaper. But today he’s got a column you’re not going to believe, about the transcendent being we unenlightened ones know simply as “Barack Obama:” Is Obama an enlightened being? / Spiritual wise ones say: This sure ain’t no ordinary politician. You buying it?

To them I say, all right, you want to know what it is? The appeal, the pull, the ethereal and magical thing that seems to enthrall millions of people from all over the world, that keeps opening up and firing into new channels of the culture normally completely unaffected by politics?

No, it’s not merely his youthful vigor, or handsomeness, or even inspiring rhetoric. It is not fresh ideas or cool charisma or the fact that a black president will be historic and revolutionary in about a thousand different ways. It is something more. Even Bill Clinton, with all his effortless, winking charm, didn’t have what Obama has, which is a sort of powerful luminosity, a unique high-vibration integrity.

Dismiss it all you like, but I’ve heard from far too many enormously smart, wise, spiritually attuned people who’ve been intuitively blown away by Obama’s presence - not speeches, not policies, but sheer presence - to say it’s just a clever marketing ploy, a slick gambit carefully orchestrated by hotshot campaign organizers who, once Obama gets into office, will suddenly turn from perky optimists to vile soul-sucking lobbyist whores, with Obama as their suddenly evil, cackling overlord.

Here’s where it gets gooey. Many spiritually advanced people I know (not coweringly religious, mind you, but deeply spiritual) identify Obama as a Lightworker, that rare kind of attuned being who has the ability to lead us not merely to new foreign policies or health care plans or whatnot, but who can actually help usher in a new way of being on the planet, of relating and connecting and engaging with this bizarre earthly experiment. These kinds of people actually help us evolve. They are philosophers and peacemakers of a very high order, and they speak not just to reason or emotion, but to the soul.

The unusual thing is, true Lightworkers almost never appear on such a brutal, spiritually demeaning stage as national politics. This is why Obama is so rare. And this why he is so often compared to Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr., to those leaders in our culture whose stirring vibrations still resonate throughout our short history.

Are you rolling your eyes and scoffing? Fine by me.

Oh, good grief.

But there simply is no denying that extra kick. As one reader put it to me, in a way, it's not even about Obama, per se. There's a vast amount of positive energy swirling about that's been held back by the armies of BushCo darkness, and this energy has now found a conduit, a lightning rod, is now effortlessly self-organizing around Obama's candidacy. People and emotions and ideas of high and positive vibration are automatically draw to him. It's exactly like how Bush was a magnet for the low vibrational energies of fear and war and oppression and aggression, but, you know, completely reversed. And different. And far, far better.

Just Speechless......

This guy gets to VOTE!

A What The (BLEEP) Moment

At about 1542 hours CDT while making my last pizza delivery run of the afternoon on West Seventh Street in St. Paul, I saw a green Volvo station wagon in the eastbound lane with a photograph of John Kerry mounted in the rear window as though it were a sacred icon.

I'm beginning to think that the Democrats are no longer a political party, they are becoming a goddamned cult.

Art operates the same way the music industry does. It relies on the ignorance of customers, and the adage that one person's trash is another person's treasure.

My mother has complained in the past about putting hours of skilled work into her art project du jour (I think she was making stained glass lampshades at the time), going to a show to sell it, and then finding that the biggest show sellers were kitschy shit like painted wooden blocks and other "country"-looking crap.

114 lawhawk  Fri, Jun 6, 2008 10:42:31am

New policies?

This guy clearly hasn't been paying attention.

In the past week alone, Obama has rehashed the following:
1) Carter's failed policies for the Middle East and US strategic security initiatives by offering to cut and run from Eastern Europe to provide incentives for Iran to quit its nuclear program;

2) Obama has flip flopped in the grand stylings of John Kerry by first saying that Jerusalem should remain the united capital of Israel before then turning around and readopting the existing US policy on Jerusalem's status - that it is up to the parties to determine in final status talks;

3) Has, in the time since the media beclowned Obama with the nomination, reversed course on meeting with Iran without preconditions to adopting the current Bush Administration position.

How exactly is any of this new?

Wow, just wow. Amazing how a Chicago Machine HACK is suddenly the Messiah, a Lightworker, God on Earth. I'm sure Leni Riefenstahl would be very proud of the effort made to make Obama the Hack into Obama the Messiah.

If they keep it up Leni Riefenstahl would puke.

(Or I'd like to think that, anyway.)

I love the distinction between people that are "coweringly religious" and those that are "deeply spiritual"; sounds like code words to me.

Does this mean that Barack Obama has superpowers? It is possible that he really is one of the X-Men? Imagine Chris Matthew's tingle if Obama showed up in an X-Men suit...

or not.

Art operates the same way the music industry does. It relies on the ignorance of customers, and the adage that one person's trash is another person's treasure.

My mother has complained in the past about putting hours of skilled work into her art project du jour (I think she was making stained glass lampshades at the time), going to a show to sell it, and then finding that the biggest show sellers were kitschy shit like painted wooden blocks and other "country"-looking crap.

my daughter just graduated in art. She specializes in horse anatomy made out of wire. For her senior project she did the hind quarters of one side of a horse - about 30 wires drilled into plywood representing 1 group of muscles - so she had to accurately weave many of these bundles into each other - it was breathtaking and lifesize.

It is not fresh ideas or cool charisma or the fact that a black president will be historic and revolutionary in about a thousand different ways. It is something more. This kind of thing always scares me because it implies that there are some people who are "born" to rule by some sort of divine providence (i.e. they "help us evolve). It unfortunately leads to the idea that their children are also "born" to rule us and hence we fall into a monarchy. It is the antithesis of what America stands for, i.e. that the "little people" can rule themselves.

When an individual, or an entire subsection of our society, excises the Judeo-Christian G-d, as well as the 25 centuries of carefully-built cultural moorings that we call "Western civilization," a massive vacuum is the result. It is nearly always filled with some form of parareligious political extremism, and often accompanied by, if not intimately tied in with, sexual fixations and kinks.

Story of Lucifer – His Status

What kind of iniquity was found of him? In the book of Ezekiel, God has let us stand with Him at the very beginning, to see the origin and the creation of Satan. But, why does God say this? What is this iniquity? We must look back to Isaiah 14:12, which tells us of Lucifer/Satan's choice. "I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit on the mount of assembly on the heights of Zaphon; I will ascend to the tops of the clouds, I will make myself like the Most High." Did you notice in this passage all of the "I wills"? He said he would exalt his throne above the stars of God. The word "stars" here does not refer to what we see in the night sky. It refers to the angels of God. In other words, "I will take over heaven, I will be God." That is Lucifer/Satan's sin and that is the iniquity that was found in him. He does not want to be God's servant. He does not want to do what he was created to do. He wants to be served and there are millions who have chosen to do just that; serve him. They have listened to his lies and chosen to follow him. Eve believed the lie that she would be like God. The reason Lucifer/Satan tempted her with that was because it is the very thing that he wants -- to be God.

Obama: Lightworker/Narcissist/Lucifer

Parable of the Lawn

Mr DT. after moving into our new home in 2002, took to cutting the lawn - except he made the serious error of cutting it too short, thereby killing most of the grass, and year after year, more weeds have grown in, and the poor grass struggles to break through. The lawn is now multiple varieties of weeds.

Don't cut good things too short or the bad things take over.

Morford can make no arguments for BHO based on logic, facts, policies, experience. Nothing in the real world recommends BHO for the office he seeks. Therefore Morford has to appeal in the Metaphysical. Which would be fine if we where selecting a high priest. But we're selecting a president, one who is going to face real, tough, and unpleasant choices.

Morford can make no religious arguments, period. What a tool. He's the most anti-religious (not atheist, I'm talking about hate-filled bile), amoral writer on the planet. Read his columns from the SF Chronicle. It's a joke that he'd even attempt to use religion to bolster an argument.

Really, I can't stress this enough. Even Obama can't flip-flop this dramatically. What a leftie shill. Any self-respecting Democrat ought to pitch this right in the trash and hope no one outside Morford's cadre of moonbats ever sees this article.

That called Narcissistic supply. It's very thrilling when you are under the spell of a narcissist.

The Primary Narcissistic Supply is attention, in both its public forms (fame, notoriety, infamy, celebrity) and its private, interpersonal, forms (adoration, adulation, applause, fear, repulsion). It is important to understand that attention of any kind – positive or negative – constitutes Primary Narcissistic Supply. Infamy is as sought after as fame, being notorious is as good as being renowned.

To the narcissist his "achievements" can be imaginary, fictitious, or only apparent, as long as others believe in them. Appearances count more than substance, what matters is not the truth but its perception.

This Obama personality cult is reminiscent of those of many of the world's most evil tyrants. When a politician doesn't have political supporters but rather followers and disciples it's time to be the most vigilant protecting our freedoms. This is a dangerous situation and a direct threat to our rights.

A cult of personality or personality cult arises when a country's leader uses mass media to create a heroic public image through unquestioning flattery and praise. Cults of personality are often found in dictatorships but can be found in some democracies as well.

A cult of personality is similar to general hero worship except that it is created specifically for political leaders. However, the term may be applied by analogy to refer to adulation of non-political leaders. Obama.

A Lightworker? I swear he made that up.

Nope.

Lightworker

A lightworker is a person who feels inspired to help others through spiritual meditation, teaching, healing, prayer, writing and speaking through unconditonal love. The term was popularised by Doreen Virtue in her book The Lightworker's Way published by Hay House in 1997.

Lightworkers can come from a variety of spiritual traditions and backgrounds, yet generally agree that the healing light they work with is comprised of eternal energy connecting everyone and everything in the universe, and that it is possible for people to connect consciously with divine light energies through intention.

This energy is sometimes viewed as the energy of the divine creator (or God) within us all – sometimes referred to as "inner light" or divine spark.

The term Lightworker also refers to a person who works with light energy according to a wide variety of New age and Alternative healing practices. Some of the more common forms of this form of light work are: healing modalities that use different energetic processes such as reiki, and balancing or connecting energies from one place to another, such as from the universe to the earth grids. Pleiadian Lightwork created by Amorah Quan Yin is another system that employs the term itself. A new form of energetic lightwork is Vortex healing which is derived from the Merlin lineage and also encompasses angelic healing.

When he loses in November, there will be the Mother of all Meltdowns!

G-d willing, he does.

Personally, I'm not looking forward to either a win or a loss.

The former, along with all the obvious negatives, might create an Allende-Chile-style situation where the followers of the Political Messiah take the movement away from the pragmatic leadership, and start acting out all sorts of revenge fantasies and Utopian delusions.

The latter could very well trigger riots and upheavals. San Fran alone came dangerously close to trouble when GWB was reelected.

When there is an absence of religion and tradition in a society this idiotic "Obamaism" rushes in to fill the void (similar to the environmental movement and the hysteria it engenders among the very same individuals).

Some anecdotal evidence.....last week there was a special election in a nearby city which has gone dem in every election since Reagan beat Carter. If I had to categorize it I would call it Clinton Country. Middle to upper middle class, mostly white, blue/white color mix. They were voting on whether to allow an override of the 2.5 percent cap on property tax increases. The city and school dept. said if the override did not pass then they would have to eliminate 30 positions and close 1 elementary school.

The proposed override was CRUSHED by a 3-1 margin.

This was huge. I think it speaks to a feeling here in MA that is shared throughout much of the country.

re: #341 rollingdivision

Obama.

Well, Obama did learn from those who support him. There probably is no mayor in the US with a bigger cult of personality than Mayor Richard M. Daley of Chicago. In many ways, his is a continuation of his father's cult of personality. It's the main thing that keeps him in office. He has enough people who basically worship him that no matter what he does, and no matter how many scandals happen under him, he comes off clean, as if he were made of teflon.

Obama emulates this, and it scares me.

Jonah Goldberg on the Obamessiah:

And then there’s the Gospel according to Obama himself. In January, he told Dartmouth students that they will know to vote for him because “... a light will shine through that window, a beam of light will come down upon you, you will experience an epiphany, and you will suddenly realize that you must go to the polls and vote for Barack.”

When asked in an interview what sin is, Obama defined it as “Being out of alignment with my values.” Apparently, the editor failed to capitalize the “M” in “My.”

Now, on that latter one; either Barry meant that sin is being out of alignment with his - Obama's - values... in which case he's terrifyingly narcissistic; or that sin is being out of alignment with one's own values ... in which case, Hitler lived a sinless life. (His values were Aryan supremacy and genocidal hate, and he lived in alignment with those values.)

Deep, deep weirdness.

417 EE  Fri, Jun 6, 2008 11:26:50am

When you ignore all of the malarkey that Barack Hussein Obama spouts, making vast promises of utopian bliss and presenting himself as the messiah ("WE are the ones we have been waiting for!"), Barry's actual statements of policy, involving a proneness to appeasement, indicate that the person he is closest to resembling would be Jimmy Carter. His presidency would resemble Jimmy Carter's second term.

But Barry is seeking to put on the mantle of the Kennedy family, to usurp their name. He insisted on giving the talk that Ted Kennedy was supposed to give at a college graduation ceremony when Ted Kennedy was hospitalized. And he appointed Caroline Kennedy as one of 3 people to suggest a short list of vice presidential possibilities. He is usurping the Kennedy name, and wants to appear as a member of the Kennedy family, just as he seeks to identify John McCain as being George Bush.

Barry is playing a game of identity theft and identity misappropriation.

John McCain has not reciprocated, however. He plays it straight. He refers to his rival as Senator Obama, while Obama has never used the title "Senator" to refer to his rival Sen. McCain. That's part of his angry-man stance that he learned from 20 years of listening to his mentor Jeremiah Wright.

Also, Sen. McCain has not reciprocated in the identity theft/identity misappropriation tactics of Obama. While Obama cloaks himself in the mantle of the Kennedys and equates Sen. McCain to Pres. George W. Bush (the president is never referred to by title, by Obama), I have not yet heard Sen. McCain make the obvious comparison of Obama to Jimmy Carter. But I continue to hope that his supporters will do that, because it is not enough for McCain to say that he is not Bush; he needs to go on the offense to cancel out Obama's tactics, and he can do that by showing that Obama's appeasement approach is no better than Jimmy Carter's tactics in bringing the Ayatollah Khomeini into power and letting him hold Americans hostage for 444 days. And if Sen. McCain won't start giving Obama a taste of his own medicine, I hope that others will.

I dug out the following nugget from a 2003 comment to a post in the archives at Tim Blair's blog. Tim at that time said that Morford was "of course, a well-known idiot," and this commenter sums up Morford beautifully:

I enjoy reading Morford's columns because, unlike alot of lefty ranters who affect an air of condesending amusement at Bush's 'stupidity', Morford is too dumb for such sublety. Through him you can get a good feel for how angry the dolphin worshippers are this week and therefore how well things are going for the strong arm of Western civilisation that shields soft f__ks like Morford from the consequences of their own stupidity.

427 Mister Ghost  Fri, Jun 6, 2008 11:28:08am

You think that Obama was Che in a previous life, from the way the liberal Media has embraced him with their loving idolatrous coverage.

428 nikis-knight  Fri, Jun 6, 2008 11:28:17am

The deification of Obama is entirely narcisism. It's a celebration of a celebration. He has done nothing noteworthy with his life; he went from prep school to Harvard, an achievement matched by many, and got elected a couple of times after managing to make a very nice living off of hanging out with demagouge pastors as a community activist.
His campaign is entirely empty rhetoric and repition of the word 'historic', the mirror image of Hillary with out the bad memories she brings.

Thus, the worship of him comes entirely from the psycology of the (tragically) large masses that do so. They desire to be part of a grand, historical movement, without the real historical knowledge to caution them that so being is a huge warning sign. They want an answer to the problems that they see as out of their control, racism and conspiracy supposedly entrapping them. They want to prove themselves not guilty of those same largely imaginary crimes by rallying around change. They have no hope of salvation in the next life, due to deep skepticism of religion, so they cling to a messianic like figure, etheral though Obama is in such a role, without a hint of that same skepticism or doubt.

Rolling my eyes and scoffing? Yes, but also shaking my head sadly.

I was making a joke, but I think it was a good joke, because good jokes are rooted in the tragedies of reality.

That would be disastrous on the world economy. The cost of every other commodity (food, etc.) on the planet would rise dramatically as well.

A better solution is encourage Iran to implode from within, which is happening.

Unfortunately for the last 50 years or so our education system has been spoonfeeding the masses into group-think, while punishing critical thinking as judgmental and intolerant.

If elected, Obama will be more than president, he'll be the rock star messiah. Instead of uniting our country, his presidency will only increase the tension between conservative and liberal, the law abiding and the anarchists; it will serve to polarize Blacks and Caucasians, Blacks and and other minorities. Obama is not one who unites - not after 20 years in that cesspool he called his church.

From a forum for "Indigo Society"

5. The Law of Ascension.
This law defines the high vibrational frequency which the soul of an incarnational being is resonating. When a personality loses the illusion of separation from it's god self, the vibration of that person raises to the point of ascension. No longer does this mean that the incarnational personality leaves the earth plane to live a finer existence. We are meant to bring our loving energies to our every day existence, becoming an example or role model for others to emulate. We can recognize this vibrational frequency in others by the degree to which they are a magnet to others.

I have witnessed Obama's greatness 2 x.
1. I was in a church and a woman in a wheelchair rolled up to him and asked for help. He placed his hands on her legs for a sec and then a light shone. She then jumped up and did a jig. Awesome.
2. A more personal note, he put his hands on my mother and cured her cancer.

I've always hated this New Age stuff. I was never an orthodox Christian, but for a while I got involved with New Thought Christianity and Unitarianism (I'm now an atheist). I still think classic New Thought Christianity and Unitarianism have some good ideas, even though I never accepted all their teachings. But in the last couple of decades, these groups have been almost completely taken over by New Agers, and critical thought and judgment has been almost entirely abandoned...anything goes. When you read the works of early New Thought teachers, they had no hesitation about making value judgments and rejecting teachings they found unsound. New Age crap is just a shallow mishmash of every "spiritual-sounding" idea out there.

Hahaha -- "Indigo Children"! Talk about the apex of narcissistic moon-worshiping hoo-hah! Every mom's a Mother Mary, every child's a god under this whacked-out philosophy.

The surest way to turn your offspring into a self-absorbed, supremely spoiled, irritating, do-nothing reincarnation of Siddhartha (in Siddhartha's bored hedonist stage) is to nominate him or her as an Indigo Child and cede your parenthood to this junior Evolved Being.

I concur that the very same cultish, humans-are-godhead impulse that brought us Indigo Children is raising Obama as an Aquarian Transcendant.

I'm inclined to agree with you. While Che was alive, he was reviled. Even his allies the Castros hated him. Benito on the other hand was much in favor in Italy up until the Allied invasion of Italy.

Of course, Benito was inspired in part by what he saw in a man named Woodrow.

She's 16 now. Her mom went off the deep end and got involved in their local "Indigo Network" about 5 years ago, and from there got deeply involved in New Age beliefs - even co-writing a book where she and her friend purport to speak for G_d. We think the mom failed her student teaching because of her bizarre beliefs (she was working on a grad degree in special ed, and Indigo Children believes Bipolar and ADD/ADHD kids are these "reincarnated ascended masters")

561 Kenneth  Fri, Jun 6, 2008 11:54:01am

Someone who suffers from Narcissistic Personality disorder (NPD) has at least 5 of the following characteristics:

1. has a grandiose sense of self-importance (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents, expects to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements)
2. is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love
3. believes that he or she is "special" and unique and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people (or institutions)
4. requires excessive admiration
5. has a sense of entitlement, i.e., unreasonable expectations of especially favorable treatment or automatic compliance with his or her expectations
6. is interpersonally exploitative, i.e., takes advantage of others to achieve his or her own ends
7. lacks empathy: is unwilling to recognize or identify with the feelings and needs of others
8. is often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him or her
9. shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes

I score Obama 9 out of 9. Highlighted items are especially prevalent.

The narcissist alternately idealizes and devalues figures of authority. In the idealization phase, he strives to emulate them, he admires them, imitate them (often ludicrously), and defends them. Or alternatively, Matthews is a bit NPD himself and views Obama as
an extension of his ideals, thus he is in love with the "idea" of Obama
more than Obama himself. (not to disparage my gay friends, but many of
them are NPD they go after men in an attempt to love themselves. It's
also why the ones I know work out so much and are fashion obsessed.)

Mark 13:

5 ¶ And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you: 6 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 7 And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet. 8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows. 9 But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them. 10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations. 11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost. 12 Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death. 13 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. 14 ¶ But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:

The unusual thing is, true Lightworkers almost never appear on such a brutal, spiritually demeaning stage as national politics. This is why Obama is so rare. And this why he is so often compared to Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr., to those leaders in our culture whose stirring vibrations still resonate throughout our short history.

So the Anti-Christ has finally appeared?  About time, only about 8 years late, let's hope the rest of his schedule is as colossal a fark up.

Um, so just what the heck IS a "spiritually advanced person?"

I'm still so stunned that so many people I consider rational and fairly intelligent have fallen for all this cr#p.

Along with Living Color's "Cult of Personality" (lyrics posted by a lizard previously), I've been singing "President Gas" by the Psychodelic Furs.

You have to have a party
When you're in a state like this
You can really move it all
You have to vote and change
You have to get right out of it
Like out of all this mess
You'll believe in ANYTHING
If you believe all this
but
Don't cry don't do anything
No lies, back in the government
No tears, party time is here again
President Gas is up for President
Line-up, put your kisses down
Say yea, say yes again...
Stand up, we'll put you on your feet again
Open up your eyes just to check
that you're asleep again...
It's so heavily advertised
That he wants you and I
It's a real cowboy set
Electric company
Every day is happy days..

Are you rolling your eyes and scoffing? Fine by me. But you gotta wonder, why has, say, the JFK legacy lasted so long, is so vital to our national identity? Yes, the assassination canonized his legend. The Kennedy family is our version of royalty. But there's something more. Those attuned to energies beyond the literal meanings of things, these people say JFK wasn't assassinated for any typical reason you can name. It's because he was just this kind of high-vibration being, a peacemaker, at odds with the war machine, the CIA, the dark side. And it killed him.

JFK was a peacemaker, at odds with the war machine? Who knew? His actions in Vietnam and Cuba would seem to give the lie to that claim.

Is this one reason why the country is so f*cked up - because people have no idea of history, and so are misreading the present?

Reminds me of Jonah Goldberg's article, The Limits of Hope, in the April 7 issue of National Review. After pointing out that Obama and his followers seem to know little to nothing about the intellectual precursors (Marxism, Progressivism, etc.) of their political religion, Goldberg predicts:

Obamania is doomed to fail for the same reason all such movements are doomed to failure: You can't create a heaven on earth. You can't immanentize the eschaton.

Supposedly it is a quote from one of his books. Is this true? And if so, why haven't the MSM and other candidates pounced on this? How could they possibly ignore something like this if it is true? Obama can't bowl like crap because everytime the ball came close to the pins, they miraculously parted, and those that got struck by the ball miraculously healed instantaneously so that to all appearances no pins fell down and all looked as if they never fell.

What a guy.

Of course, some might say that the meaning of 'lightworker' when applied to the Obamanation would translate as 'light in the loafers'.
To which the libnut chorus would say, 'Not that there's anything wrong with that...'

But the questions that follow are, how could such an evolved being trap himself with the most vile beings on earth for twenty years and not utter a peep in protest, challenge nor do anything at all that would lead one to believe such other beings became enlightened by his mystical presence. (Does being a magical negro have no engligtening effect on other negros or negro pretenders (phflegars or ayres or dorns of the world?) Does being a magical negro only affect those lowest beings burdened with white limosine liberal guilt? Does being a lightworker cause alzheimer's disease in the lightworker, so that you suddenly fail to recognize the people you've been hanging around with for the past twenty years, as the people you've hung around with for the past twenty years? Was Sgt. Schultz on Hogan's Heroes, a lightworker? Was Maxwell Smart or Inspector Clousseau, 'lightworkers'?

Does the fact that this lightworker is only six percent black, and ninety three percent white (arab/caucassian) strengthen or weaken his lightworker status among 'englightened souls'?

Who did all these enlightened souls vote for in the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s presidential election? And if they voted for the losers, say, in 1980, 84, 88, 2000, 2004, how come their enlightened lightshining on the populace make no effect in the Presidential elections?
If such lightworkers had no effect on the populace at large, though being greater in number than poor old Obamanation, how could he by his lonesome have any greater effect on the beknighted populace than these multitudes of apostles have had during the past thirty years?

If Obie gets the presidency, he and Michelle will shame it I am sure. The office, the traditions,, the residence you name it...not in the way the Clintons did, but because they are so arrogant about their manifest destiny to bring ..change.

Kennedy had Jackie who was pivotal in restoring the White House to its position as a living museum of our presidents. She had original and period furniture tracked down and returned to the mansion.

In their effort to be popular and quite possibly hipper than previous presidents I am afraid of how they will view the great traditions that exist there. Not to mention who will be guests there.

i hope the reality of being president is that the staff sits you down and says this is the way things should be done and then the joint chiefs sit you down and say this is the grim reality and this is what you've got to do.

Hope!

Good evening, Lizards.

I know I'm late to the thread, but I have to make this point;

The terms "Lightworker", "Enlightened Being", "Transformational Change", etc., all had their roots in the "UFO contactee" movement of the early Cold War period. The "contactees" were obsessed with saving the world from the horrors of nuclear war. Their method was for us to abolish national governments, abolish technology, go "back to nature", and live in a primitivist-collectivist society ruled by "enlightened beings", like themselves plus the "Space Brothers", who were all tall, blond, blue-eyed, very Aryan-looking types from Mars and/or Venus (or later, planets like "Clarion", "Hidden from us beyond the sun", to quote notable contactee guru Truman Betherum). Much of modern "progressive" and "environmentalist" theory was lifted whole-hog from the "contactee" movement, notably through contactee-turned- leftist "social activist" Donald M. Ware (his writings are easily found online).

The fact that these terms are now being applied to Obama tells me that the retreat of American liberalism into millennialist fantasy is now complete. It also tells me that those doing it are not merely narcissists, but are also suffering from histrionic disorder (characterized by a need for constant attention and adulation- the "diva" complex so common in Hollywood types), as well as being fantasy-prone personalities- the kind who create their own dream-worlds and then demand that everyone else live in same, and pay them rent for the privilege of doing so. One notable example of this was Pol Pot, of Khmer Rouge infame. The "Reverend" Jim Jones, Of Jonestown Massacre infamy, was another.

I'm inclined to suspect that Obama, and most of his followers, fall into the same category.

This does not bode well. For this country, or the world. Because it would be the equivalent of giving a two-year-old a hand grenade with the pin straightened. He might not intend to make it go "boom", but he just can't help but fiddle with it.

/just needed to be said

Good night, Lizards.

Like the High Preistess of Opal in Tarzan No. 2, who explained that she didn't believe the rituals do anything because she was the one who was doing the job, not watching it, Obama isn't the one to worry about, he knows he's just him, but the likes of followers like that clown are the ones to keep a wary eye on, as in watching one's back.

Luminosity? Followers of dieties of such high stature usually come to the conclusion that human sacrifices are the only offerings worthy enough. It's pathetic that people who consider themselves the epitome of "modern," embrace pure pagan superstitions that even the pagans have turned away from.

Not kidding here, either. The demonization of opponents and the exaultation of human idols never ends well for innocent people.

Before yoga class I told a classmate that I just returned from the Big Island of Hawaii during which I saw the lava flowing into the sea, the mile high steam eruption at Halema'uma'u crater, etc. She mentioned the increased volcanic activity on the planet (Ecuador, for example.) So far so good. Then she said it meant that Obama was going to be POTUS.
I started to worry that some of these new age nutcases who don't usually vote will vote this time. I reassured myself that they're mostly centered in moonbat enclaves that will go for Obama anyhow.

re: #771 eon

Good evening, Lizards.

I know I'm late to the thread, but I have to make this point;

I agree with you on the UFO contactee use of the term. You hear it all the time on "Coast to Coast AM". Host George Noory, who unlike Art Bell who seemed to have libertartian leanings, is definitely a BDS sufferer and has written a book called "Worker in the Light".

So does this mean that if Obama does not get elected they will all dress in jumpsuits, cut their nuts off and commit mass suicide while thinking they are beaming up to the Funkadelic Muthaship?

785 J.S.  Fri, Jun 6, 2008 5:32:42pm

What I find downright creepy are the multiple reversals going on...to give but a few examples...

1) I just heard another fawning media person effusive about Obama being a "post racial" candidate. Yeah, sure. Does the bimbo recall Rev Wright? Farrakhan? Obama's relationship with his "spiritual advisers", his race-baiting buddies for twenty years?
2) The notion that Obama is going to "clean things up in Washington." Typical populist crap. He's gonna "change" things. Yeah, sure. Obama comes from the Chicago, Illinois political machine..steeped in corruption. His Rezko connections -- his money funders..Soros, etc. Obama owes them big time.
3) The Idealism of Obama. Please...What "idealism?" That America stinks? How is that "Idealistic?" Obama's "message" is one of incredible negativity. He hates America, and all he does is run down America and Americans. He idolizes foreign governments, the United Nations, Europe and Europeans.
4) Obama is a "uniter!" pfeh! A Uniter -- what an outright lie. He's anything but uniting. He divides people -- especially along racial lines. Then, look to how he's treated Hillary.

Anyway, I don't see how it is at all healthy to have such obvious "splits" between reality and these masquerades. I think trouble lies ahead...the ficitional, delusional facade is bound to crack at some point...then, we'll all realize the true/real/ugly Obama..

786 shiplord kirel  Fri, Jun 6, 2008 5:41:48pm

Morford is the Alpha Moonbat of the American left, the gold standard against which all other moonbats are judged. Hell, half the little moonbats in the country probably carry his genes by now, just as untold numbers of forty-something hippy progeny would test positive for Jim Morrison ancestry.

In 2001 he was suspended for his comments on a sexual relationship between a teenage male student and an older female teacher. In 2003 he was suspended again, this time without acknowledgement from management, for violating Chronicle guidelines by including a curse word in his email newsletter, The Morning Fix (see below), without express permission.......
Since 2000, along with his writing career, Morford has also taught Vinyasa yoga classes in San Francisco, most recently at the Yoga Tree network of schools.

He has consistently advocated appeasement of terrorists since before the dust had settled from the WTC. I wonder what they would make of his exquisitely trendy cutting edge new age wackiness. Probably short work.

Yoga Tree, San Francisco's Premier Yoga Center
Yoga Tree teachers- Mark Morford

This is why you are here. This is what it's all about. To reunite opposing yet deliciously co-dependent energies: yin/yang, Earth/sky, body/spirit, movement/stillness, jazz/rock. Where else can you find serenity amidst chaos, stillness amidst sweat, effortlessness deep inside hard work? Yoga hasn't been around for thousands of years for nothing. It's a little-known fact that Jesus practiced yoga–he just didn't tell anyone. How do you think he was able to walk on water?

Bring a towel. Leave your baggage. Peel off your stress, your expectations, your self-imposed limitations. Come for the sweat, stay for the stillness. It's so good you'll forget you're actually dancing with gravity."

This reminds sme of something a car writer said of a new 4-speed transmission back in the 60s, quoting Ts'ai-ken T'an (via Bruce Lee)
or some such wise man:

The stillness in stillness is not the real stillness.

Only when there is stillness in movement can the spiritual rhythm
appear which pervades heaven and earth.

A letter to the editor responded:
The silliness in silliness is not the real silliness. Only when there is silliness in print can the marketing rhythm appear which pervades all commerce.

2- How unbelievably intelligent and incomparably cool Mark Morford is.

You are so right. Just look at some of the photos of Obama. upturned head, eyes looking down upon his subjects, the jutting jaw, my God, it's the Duce' reincarnate. The saddest part is his followers are so fucking uneducated they think Mussolini is a pasta dish. This is the 1st personality cult to flourish in America. They really DO think he is God!

"Logic!" said the professor half to himself. "Why don't they teach logic at these schools?"
C.S. Lewis --The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe

I asked a lawyer how his logic courses were taught. He stared at me blankly and then began to explain how logic courses weren't necessary. . .It was only necessary to convince people. . .

Logic was once the main focus of sixth through eighth grade course work.
Now see what we have-- geniuses who can't even think. ---- And a lot of people who think they are geniuses!

Listen to me, Mark:

I met, shook hands with, chatted with, and observed Obama from very close range range for five minutes when he came to SF. I felt absolutely none of those emotions or perceived none of those perceptions that you described. Why not! Not because I'm not "spiritually advanced," but because he is just a human being. A person. Not a god. It was no different from meeting my plumber's brother or accidentally bumping into a businessman on the sidewalk.

Nada.

The difference is that I haven't drunk the Kool-Aid like you have.

But in Obama's defence, you are undead, you know.

Presence? Charisma? Luminous energy?

What a bunch of childish effin' idiots are driving the Democrat party nomination. They're swooning like pre-teens over a moderately pretty face with no noticeable substance to his character or achievements.

He's the new and improved silky pony - now with extra diversity to assuage your mandatory guilt! (Substance? Ummm, sure - just look at the cheering crowd over there! Professed opinions? Precisely the same as those held by whoever he is talking to at the moment!)

Gaaaaah! How can they not see he's a lightweight?

I'd sooner vote for Dennis Haysbert or Morgan Fairchild than this guy. Not kidding. They've got better presence, better speaking voices, and aren't much less qualified than the shining senator.

re: #794 mikalm

Have I got a book for you...!

Got it. In fact, I have almost every book Dr. Vallee has ever written, including the obscure ones, like Passport to Magonia. Being an actual, honest-to-God scientist, Dr. Vallee has always had a refreshingly level-headed attitude toward the entire UFO business, as well as "associated" situations such as contactee cults, "crypto-zoology" type critters, etc.

Overall, his take on UFO sightings of the roughly 5% that aren't simply misidentifications of conventional objects or phenomena is that the vast majority are either experimental aircraft, rare but conventional optical phenomena, or hallucinations. (I've never "hallucinated" a UFO, but over the years I've seen my share of parhelia [sundogs], lenticular clouds, and "X-planes" -some of the latter being unmanned RPVs of fairly odd configurations.) He does acknowledge that some UFOs defy normal explanation, but rejects the "extraterrestrial hypothesis" as insufficient to explain the high degree of "strangeness" such sightings exhibit.

Dr. Vallee tends toward the view also held by John A. Keel, namely that we may be observing a purely natural phenomena, entirely normal to our planet, that extends into the structures of space and time in ways that we as yet do not fully comprehend. This is not "mysticism"- it's closer to the interpretation of the deep structures of the universe found in the works of Dr. Stephen Hawking. Not "aliens", and not "spacecraft", and not even "intelligent"- just natural phenomena which our minds cannot correctly interpret due to the odd way they interact with the world we live in. Dr. Vallee believes that as our scientific knowledge progresses, we will eventually be able to understand these phenomena, recognize them for what they are- and finally put the "UFO mania" behind us.

Well, except for the ones who will still be waiting for the "Space Brothers", that is........

cheers

eon
